Intelligence is not a requirement in decision making

We all know in life that you can squeak through somehow until the dreaded Darwin factor hits you. This is designed to thin the herd and allow the human race to go forward to a happier and more fulfilling place. Will it really though? I’ve watched movies liked Idiocracy where the reverse is a plausible solution.

If the idiots truly will inherit the earth does that mean that those with intelligence should give up? At what point will the tipping point be reached that the idiots outnumber the rest of us?
