I just found out from Shemah that Cashmere Mafia did not get picked up for another season from ABC. Boo Hoo!! According to the article here,

The premiere attracted a decent 10.7 million viewers but the second episode drew under 6.2 million. The ratings continued to drop and the finale attracted just 4.8 million.

Goodbye ladies!

It's gonna be a busy next week for both me and Azwaj. We have to renew his car insurance and road tax. We also need to renew his company operating license as failure to renew it before the expiration date would result in a penalty which will possibly pay for another year of license!

I also need to prepare some shortcut notes for my FIL who is finally picking up MS Word and Excel. Lastly I desperately need a hair cut. I've been tying my poor hair in a tight ponytail coz of the weather, even my scalp is complaining!

Yeap.. a busy week indeed!

I Need New Sofa

We are in dire need for a new sofa. However, it just can't be any regular sofa. It has to be durable enough to withstand the behavior of the house occupants, namely the six kitties ;)

Azwaj is more inclined to get patio furniture for the living room. I mean if it's hardy enough to withstand the weather, it must be hardy enough to take the onslaught from the kitties right. Oh well only time will tell as to what kind of furniture we will eventually get what with the impending move and all.

You know at the rate Azwaj is losing weight, I got to encourage him to eat more which literally means I got to eat more too.. coz this man won't eat if I don't eat! So I guess I got to get me the best diet pills available out there so that even when I eat, I will still not gain weight.. shh .. don't tell Azwaj though coz he'll think I'm cheating..lolzz!

My Hubby Lost Weight!

Why do men lose weight so more easily than women? Or is it just my hubby that is so? He went down from 65kilos to 57kilos in three month without needing any diet pills whatsoever while I did not lose any weight at all. I don't understand it at all coz we eat the same meals at the same time and we even sleep the same amount of time. The only difference is that he smokes while I don't. Hmm... is that the cause??

Games Galore

I did not play much games when I was growing up. Technology wasn't great then. I did not even own a personal computer much less the xbox 360. Come to think of it, I did not even own a barbie doll!

Nowadays kids have it good. I know that my nephew and niece have most of the gadgets for any games at their disposals. As long as they do their homework, get good scores at school, their mother would get them any games they wanted. Ah.. such is the life.. I want to be a kid again!

Get The Right Job!

I've always been lucky with my career choices. I was very fortunate to have worked for great companies and even greater immediate superiors. And I have employment agencies to thank for it. Working with the right employment agencies, making sure they know what kind of companies you want to work for can really open up your horizon. Sometimes human resources department from major corporations would rather work with reputable agencies who would have done the shortlisting for them as a first step. They would rather not waste time with the multitude of resumes to screen through and would rather leave that stage to the employment agencies.

Now with the internet, registering with reputable employment agencies is even easier. Registering and looking for an administrative jobs in Los Angeles or a sales position in other parts of States or the world for that matter is just a click away. So if you are looking for a career or a switch in employers, make sure you register and keep that resume updated. You'll never know when they're gonna call you for your next interview :)

SPF and PA?

Summer is here! And although that means it's extremely hot for me. It also means getting a tan for many. So I was thought this might be useful information as I myself was a bit blur about it...

What is the difference between SPF and PA?

Well the SPF number helps you figure out how long you can be in the sun before burning, which is caused by UVB rays. So if you usually burn after 10minutes and you have an SPF25 sunscreen, you can stay in the sun 25 times longer without burning which is 250minutes.

PA is the Japanese unit of measurement for UVA protection. The PA rating is usually followed by "+" signs - so the more pluses, the higher level of UVA protection.

What is it with people living in apartments? Do they forget that there are neighbours left, right, up and down? Why must they talk at the top of their voices to someone who is probably sitting in front of them? It does not sound like they were fighting or having an argument. It sounds more like normal conversation about them wanting to buy a house nearby, wanting to buy a car and wanting to buy a bus. What? Buy a bus?? Ok.. I rest my case.. see how loud they were??!!

Cooling Stuff for Me

Ever since my ulcer attack, I've been cutting down on drinking coffee coz some people actually told me that coffee is heaty. So I've been drinking lots of soya bean drinks, barley and also tea. Personally I don't mind all the barley and the tea especially in this hot weather. My concern is for the soya bean drink. That drink aside from having a cooling effect and great for the complexion, it is also high in protein and since I don't need that much protein in me, I'm worried that I may have to resort to taking wieght loss pills or something. Yikes!! That would be terrible... Arghhh when is this darn ulcer gonna be gone???

Ulcer No More

If you read my personal blog over at LJL, I've blogged about how I've had massive ulcer in my mouth from last week. I refused to use Bonjella as I found it only gave me relief for up to 15minutes and then the pain would come on again. A lot of of friends who commented suggested putting salt on the wound (holy cow!), gargling with salt water and Listerine and Farah suggested Oral Aid. Azwaj suggested trying other medicine but I refused as well saying that it would take a few more days and this torture would be over.

However I relented today after seeing how dry even my lips have become because I don't even wet my lips anymore and I even stop eating and drinking because of the pain.

So we went to the pharmacy today and asked for Oral Aid like what Farah suggested but since they don't have that in stock, ended up with another alternative called Solcoseryl Dental Adhesive Paste instead. Ladies, am I glad I got it coz now the pain is 70% gone and I can talk properly again.. lolzz!!

I need a Pacsafe

Do you know what I need? I need a sling purse that I can sling on my shoulders when I travel to and from Singapore. And not just any sling purse, it has to be strong and secure with lots of compartments and of course, if possible, pretty! I found just the one at Pacsafe website.

This particular model have 20 anti-theft features and can be anchored to a secure fixture like you main bag for instance. It is also tampered proof so I won't have to worry someone cutting it with a razor blade or something. Yeah! I'm paranoid but have you seen the crowd at the immigration counters these days??

More RAM For Miss Fly

I think I need more memory ram (Random Access Memory) for Miss Fly. She's currently running on 3GB right now and still I feel her performance could be improved. I know she can take up to 4GB so that is probably what I do. Upgrade her to the maximum and see how better she can performed. Azwaj said it's probably all the plugins I've installed with Firefox that is slowly her down. Though I don't dispute that, I still need those plugin to make my blogging experience fun and that is important to me. So looks like you're gonna get an upgrade dear Miss Fly

Gingko Goodness

I was going through a heath magazine and it was highlighting this Gingko supplement. It stated that Gingko improves the delivery of nutrients and oxygen throughout the body. It also alleviates problems related to memory, ringing in the ears, cold hands and feet (of which I am famous for), dizziness, blurred vision, headaches, muscle aches and joint stiffness, shortness of breath and water retention.

This really sounds interesting but have yet to hear anyone talked about it. Anyone knows??

Hosting Again?

Now that this blog is on it's domain name, I'm always tempted to go get my own webhosting for it. After all, it's not that expensive and I am pretty convinced I can afford it but still there are so many questions that are playing in my mind. Questions like which company would give me the best value for money package in terms of bandwidth and storage space. Also since I have like 3 other domains, would I be able to host all of them with one account.

Thank God I found webhostinggeeks.com. They not only give a listing of most of the providers around but they also give their own ratings for the services provided by the respective hosting companies. And I found a listing for companies with multiple domain hostings as well. Really awesome site I say. Ok.. so now that I have all this info, I can make an informed decision soon. Watch out blog world.. gonna get me my own hosting soon!
