Updates!!!

I have updated my blog page.. less colors but still a pop to it :)))
I have not been on lately but have been sewing new things..
I opened up a BigCartel shop for some new items I have been making.. I will be adding some different things as well later on.
My Etsy shop is still open but I want to try to see how this new shop works out!!!

Wow, its been like a forever since I did a blog post.. ugh I have been posting pics on Istagram and Facebook mainly.. (you can find me from the side bar over there) I have been sewing a lot too.. a few months ago I came up with a pen/pencil pouch for myself and showed it on a group on FB and someone wanted one too. Long story short I have lost count how many I have made!!! Here are a couple of the favorite ones..

I sort of gotten burned out on making these... So when a friend of mine asked me if I could make her a purse organizer I knew I wanted to! And because I had one in mind already and was wanting to make them soon. So here are photos of what I finished up today This is a view of it packed with my goodies from inside my purse and then inside my big tote bag, I do get tired of fishing around for my keys!!! I see them sticking up now!

I just randomly stuck things inside the pockets.. I do NOT carry a lighter! lol

Ok for my planner / pen junkie friends!!!

I stuffed this with pens/markers/highlighters/ pencils.. and my planner stuck in the middle..

This is just a the beta version. I will be using this for myself.. I still have to make minor adjustments.. someone mentioned a outside side pocket which I will add.. for a cell phone maybe?

I couldn't put my cell phone in the photos because I was using it to take pictures.. Even without all the junk stuffed inside this stands up by itself.. I only used interfacing on the outside fabrics.. might add it to the inside lining as well. Oh forgot about the handles! Not big enough to be in the way but makes it great to carry around and to change into different bags.. This size is roughly 10" W x 7"H x 4" thick I'm still thinking of a price for this.. it will take more fabrics and more interfacing. OHHHH one more thing.. I'm wanting to make a little change purse to go with it.. still have to make one I have in mind! Thanks for looking!

I wanted a new bag but didn't want to take long making it.. I didn't want to use good fabrics either lol So I took a pair of old jeans that was soft and thin.. I took a pattern I received from Jane at ProjectsbyJane .I made it a tad bigger as I liked the shape of the clutch . (Sorry Jane I hacked your pattern! lol ) I used fabric scraps received from Sasha at StitchedbySasha.. thank you Sasha! I used a old purse strap .. and came up with this..HA.

Like I said I used old fabric for the lining...in case I didn't like the outcome of it.. and wouldn't you know I love this bag!!!Its not even heavy like I thought it would be either.. the strap is adjustable so it can be a shoulder bag or sling bag.

I reused a couple of the pockets too.

I have this much more scraps to get through.. I decided about a week ago I MUST USE THEM ..

I started off making these...My sister-in-law wanted them. I like the little one hehe.

I ordered more....yes more.. washi tape...this came from HouseofWashi on Etsy.. the dotted piece are little strips ..cute!

hmm what else can I show..

Oh I made home made stain remover !!! and it WORKS! I used about everything to get smashed down jelly out of my carpet.. I found on pinterest this simple solution ..one part hydrogen peroxide, one part baking soda and 2 parts water. Spray it on that nasty stain..( and it was nasty mean too) took a tooth brush at it and poof ... that sucker was gone like a freight train!

this is good for whitening teeth too.. just a teaspoon of each ingredient with your toothpaste and brush those stains off your choppers!

Just a short post ... Since Google is doing away with Reader lets all join me on Bloglovin! You can also sign up to get me delivered right to your email!!! You can do that from the side bar too! I do not like Google doing this to us.... I liked seeing all my followers faces in my side bar!!! hehe SOOO...Its the end of the month and I did not do much sewing in June.. and that means I did not get my wallet tutorial finished for the LYOF of June.. BLAH! I actually have to start over as the one I did finished didn't turn out so great.. But I do want to show you something I ordered !!!! As most of you know I love planners and paper, stickers and pens!! I ordered these cuties from my friend Sachiko over on filofaxlove. She does great work and love all the cuteness of her products!! I have ordered several times from her!! These fit my personal Holborn filo. I was using a pocket and wanted to upscale a bit to have more room to write in. She lets you personalize the tabs whatever you want! I also got the month tabs .. giggly cute! She sent me a pocket today marker , magnet and smaller marker too! Thank you Sachiko!

I'll be taking photos soon of my set up with all my cute tabs ! I been going back and forth trying layouts.. ugh.what a hassle . so went back to week on 2 pages and just going to go with that. I also made my own month pages...

I bought new Pilot Frixion pens and markers !!! These were ordered from Jetpens

The markers are on left. I love them! I also got the pencil like frixion gel pens..Love writing with these! and I had to get a single blue clicker pen , frixion also.. and the writing markers, they are post its like tabs and of course...they are doggies!

Does anyone know a stateside shop to order goodies like stickers and posties from?

I'll be getting back to my sewing soon.. I NEED to as my Etsy shop is bare!!

New things for me!

I can't find the time to sew but I can find time to shop!! HA! Been a busy week and really had lots planned to sew.. Zoey's summer clothes will be winter before I start on them!!!

I went shopping today and Hobby Lobby has a big sale on all paper punches and stickers and washi type tape and and and and LOTS.. I kept myself on a budget though.. I bought all this..

I also got some things in the $1 bin at Joann's. No I don't do smash books or scrapbooking.. I will use these in my planner. I might as well be scrapbooking.. my planner looks like one anymore... I bought the punches to use to make stickers from my decorative tape..I call it decorative tape as it isn't really washi tape but might as well be .. love it. I found a tutorial HERE I have to try out!

I did make some simple stickers the other day..

I took some round white avery labels and marked all over them with highlighters and TA DA!

My pink stickers are for my Zoey days.. and I have green for doctors, red is important and yellow are Dougs work days.. I will do a full post on my layout soon.. I made my weekly pages too!

I ordered new page dividers from Sachiko over on Filofax Love. I love her stuff she makes!! I hope I spelled her name right....

I can't wait to get them and pretty up my planner!! I'm using a Franklin Covey binder again.. but more on that later...

June Lovely Year Of Finishes !!!!

Oh LOOKY! I'm actually going to enter this month's LYOF!!!! YAY!!!

I had my wallet pattern/ tutorial on my desk forever and been working on it last month so this is a good project for me to FINISH!!!

Since I posted the sample pictures last post, I made a lot of changes!! I can't wait to make one!!

Here are some of the fabric choices lined up for my final wallet.

Oh .. I noticed the brown I took out already! HA!! I switched it to some pink..

You know I need a name for this wallet.....

You remember my loyalty card wallet I promised a tutorial on??
Well the first was trashed.. I didn't like the clear vinyl I used for the pockets and I had a mess in my purse one day with all of them falling out! LOL I thought ok to the drawing board again..
When I begin something it bugs me until I get it right.. and I think I have it now, by George! ( where did that saying come from?)
I used some old fabric for my practice.. its actually not that bad and its Red White and Blue!!!
I like the feel of this wallet.. As I like books and it reminds me of my little Pocket Holborn Filofax I carry =))) size wise I mean..
Don't look of the fabrics just the design LOL

Opened up first page.. I put a long deep pocket for coupons on inside front..or receipts too.

on next flap are 4 card slots.

Next page with it opened flat.. 4 more card slots on left and on right are 12 card slots for those little key ring loyalty cards. I use them more then the bigger cards..

opened next page is 4 MORE card slots and a back pocket on back flap. I have a checkbook inside.

I figured I could fold some cash bills inside one of the card slots or deeper pocket.

With it closed I noticed with all the cards inside it doesn't line up even.

I am going to add a little bit more to each side of the pattern. then leave the card page the same size.

I didn't use interfacing at all , didn't want to waste it.. I will use medium weight for the outer fabric only. It feels good without interfacing on the card slots. that way it won't bulk it up.

Ok my help question.. I want a flap closure.. or do I?? What kind? or leave it without??? The cards are tight enough that they wont fall out.. again lol Any suggestions to add anything?? This is actually fast and easy project! Only thing that took time were the card slot pockets to sew each down. I have some ideas for the fronts!

Its been a while...

First I want to say Thank You to all the Veteran's past , present and future..

Its been a while since last post.. but I have been sewing!
I'll throw some pictures up for ya..

I made a little guitar pick holder.. I saw this on Pinterest or some web site and just wanted to try it out.. My son , brother and youngest sister all play guitars.. I'm not musically talented. I tried in school but wasn't for me..

I am making a few iPhone case pouch's for Etsy.. I have some cut
out and hoping to get those finished later in the week..I made this
black one with fusible fleece and thought it would be too thick since my friend that wanted it has a cover on her phone.. IT FIT! so she took it.. and also took the second one lol

This second one was made with just heavy interfacing. ( forgot to sew the clasp on top so its hanging down but its been fixed! )

I have this one next to sew.. The kids like the zebra pattern's and of course in pink!!! If you like your own pattern for this you can get it here at ProjectsbyJane ! ( or if you want me to make you a custom one I can do that too! lol)
I will have some loaded on Etsy soon...

I made a bag! FOR ME! My birthday is coming up soon and I made this for myself.. I wanted to take a pic outside but by time I got home this afternoon it was raining.. I will take better ones soon! I love this bag! Its a pattern by Bari J. You can find her patterns HERE .

Ok remember the pencil pouchs from the giveaway? I made a few more.. I was playing around with sizes and the blue one made from Sew Stitchy is a bit skinner then the other two.. I didn't like it so went back to regular size..

My precious Zoey Bug.. she is modeling a dress I made her in some of her favorite fabric I been hoarding just for her..If my memory is correct this is Out to Sea by Michael Miller.. I'm very bad with remember fabric lines and names..

I worked on my Etsy shop today!!!
I had some phone/cash wallets made up for like FOOOORRREVVER!!! I finally opened my Etsy back up and got these wallets put on.

These will hold any phone up to size 6" x 4.25" x 1" So they are perfect for your iphone or Android Razr or other same sized phones..

It has room for your cash bills , or receipts and there are two vertical slots for cards!

I use my phone to take pictures and I had to dig out my little phone and stick in there..

The best thing about these wallets ??? I am using my new labels!! =0)

I'm shocked so many people are signing up for my give away and its awesome!! I thank you , thank you , thank you!!! And a big THANK YOU if you are new to following me!! I am going through all the comments and reading each and every one! I will answer each one, I promise!!
I love to sew about anything.. my passion is bags, wallets,pouches..,etc... and little items.. I sew clothes for my 3 year old grand daughter, Zoey. She loves Gramma making her things! And as a matter of fact I finally finished a fleece jacket she wanted sooooooooooo much and it HAD to be Spongebob "Kool Kants" !!!! I had some trouble with the collar and ended up doing it my way and threw the pattern instructions down LOL.. here is the jacket...

It looks big here but its a 3-4T

I like the back.. I put some elastic through the back .

The one thing she wanted special was "secret pockets" and she said it in a whisper lol So I added one on each inside behind the front pockets..

We are still having some cool mornings and evening.. (Indiana) and I made this a little big so she will be able to wear it a couple of years!

I cut out the fabrics for the second pencil pouch I promised to make to go with the pencil set in the Give Away!

My next bigger projects are summer clothes for Zoey.... I hope I get them done before summer is over!!

I been trying to get my crap together..this that and more.. my sewing room is a mess..again.. and I have been doing a organizing cleaning .. Trips to the recycle store.. to the trash.. and resorting.. and I can't tell! lol but I busted my bum to get something together for Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!!! I get so excited every year for this! The first year I entered for these was about 3 years ago and I won several things! The next year not so much.. and then last year......nothing lol But I still love them.. I find new craft blogs to follow and new friends as well! Thats always fun! It starts tomorrow but I will give you a peek at what I'm going to give away.. because I will join in the giveaways this year! yay! Update....I sold this..to my mom ! Haha she saw ..she wanted.... I'm doing two part posts here. One for a Filofax and one for my sewing stuff.... I debated on selling this.. I bought two of them last November ...One was a gift but I had got them on sale.. I see on filofax usa site they are on sale for $8.80 right now.. so that is little cheaper then what I bought mine for... On the United Kingdom site they are 9 pounds.. (sorry did not have that little mark on my keys!!) wait is that right?? pounds? euro?? ugh sorry I'm not sure...Please correct me ... As I said I'm debating to sell this as its so cheap now on line.. So here is the deal.. I will sell it for $7 plus shipping.... I will have to weigh and stuff to find out shipping costs..I will try to do it as cheap as I can.... OH as of today on the US site they are out of stock.. Ok here are pictures...

I did a close up on this.. on that top red petal there is a slight nail scratch.. yes I did it..first day I had it out and my stupid finger nail scratch it a bit.. but its not noticeable but in the light like this..

A little sewing...

It was good to get to sew ... If you follow my Instagram you got a sneak peek to some things I'm doing..If not.. then well here you go.. lol I mentioned about a tutorial .. I have the product finished.. just need to get it wrote up..Its coming I promise!!! But this is what it will be...
Do you have a lot of these little buggers? on your key rings? I think I found like 5 from stores not even open anymore lol . I got so tired of going through these looking for the one I need...I want it like NOW not have to go through all of them...

I came up with this cutey..

Its a wallet .. to hold all those little buggers and the bigger full size cards as well...

Here is the open view..it has a "page " with clear pockets to put the little cards inside..

the bigger pockets are behind .. or you can put cash inside it.

All neat and tidy.. I do not like working with vinyl but its only 2 strips and it worked well for me this time..I use a lot of these cards . Maybe most people don't so I don't know... lol

Also...

I made a stack of pot holders today.. A friend asked for some and I just went crazy cutting out some 9 x 9 squares from older fabrics.. and I had like 5 yards of the Insul-Bright batting to use for these..( Joanns had a mega sale one day..)

I put a few labels on them. not all .I didn't do anything fancy with them.. I did sew the edges twice around.. These will go to a good home =0)

Testing..

A few months ago I purchased a ipad...I loved it..but I got to wanting a new smartphone and I couldnt have both when they can do the same thing..and the phone was carry everwhere in my bag friendly.... I studied my phone options, sizes and brands..I sold my ipad to my niece and went for my new smartie phone... and simply flat out love it! I do everything on it...pay bills...email.. blog read..take pictures...well you know I'm sure...I wish I went for a bigger screen size but it does well for my short fingers.
I am blogging from my phone this post. I downloaded the app and ok its great! I can insert pics even....
I'm not sure how the picture will show up...if it will becuz Ive not figured that part out...
Another thing I want to say.. I had the flu..I guess I didn't think that was enough so I got my self some good old pneumonia.. hmm yay fun! ..my gosh I was sick..but I am recovering and soooo miss my sewing! My tutorial I promised was put back some but I did work on it alittle teeny bit!
One more thing..for comments I had to add the funky word button insert before you comment. I'm sorry as I hate putting those in myself but I was getting bombed with spam and one made it past my spam box..grrrrrr

Easy Sling Bag testing!!!!

The Flu bit me in the bum, not once but TWICE in one week! A week ago last Friday I started symptoms of a cold but turned out I had Respiratory flu.. I was given meds..got better some what.. then BOOM I got the fun flu.. with the bathroom breaks one too many type of flu.. I'm hoping I got a handle on it and starting to recover. I AM making myself recover! I was able to hold down some cereal , not a good choice but had to see for myself.. so far so good! I weighed myself this morning.. I lost 5 pounds since last Monday..
Ok on to important stuff!!!
Right before I got sick I was given the opportunity to test a fun little bag pattern! If you followed me for some time you are familiar with Jane over on ProjectsbyJane . She has some really cute patterns and very easy to follow even if you are a starter outer sewer! Here is what I made.. she gave me the option of the quilted flap.. CUTE!

It called for a wooden or metal ring for the strap.. I wanted the wooden one SOOO bad but of course none to been seen around my parts... This bag is plenty big for your everyday things.. and light on the shoulder! It is a cross body sling bag so you are hands free! You can check out her BAGS of the same pattern HERE . This bag comes with three flap options... She also added ON THE SPOT download to all her patterns in her shop!!! I mentioned getting a tutorial together.. That is my next step.. Hint.. something to keep certain little "things" organized . I use these "things" every single day! lol hmmmmm OH OH almost forgot! I am on Instagram! Good Grief

I have been bad.. I have not blogged for a whole month and 3 days.. or something like that... why? dunno.. the last few days I had the flu.. so thats a good excuse for those 3 days hehe.. I have been sewing though.. new things and I even have a new pattern that came to me like a vision ..give me a couple of more days to get better... draft my pattern and make it! It will be super duper easy ..and it will be a free tutorial!!! yay! I also been testing for a friend. will show you that soon too!!!

I have to tell you about my order I received today!!! I talked about Sachiko on Filofax Love a few times.. I love her Etsy shop JapanCorner and have ordered three times from her! Here is what I got this time... I got the page markers for my pocket Holborn that I am using for my everyday planner now..(Its easier to put in my purse and carry) My stickers..and she even put in a extra page marker for my personal size Holborn FF!!! SHE is the best!

I tried to get a close up of the stickers.. they are sooooooooo tiny!! but they are for the pocket size and they fit so cute!
My fav are the little red headed girl and the brown headed girl that says coffee!!! lol

And now for my favorite-tise!!! Look the clear see through marker has MY name on it! and she is blonde just like me lol
The bottom paper has a sticker on it..

You can see how tiny the stickers are laying on my pocket FF.

Then the clear divider inside ..

I made my dividers using Martha Stewart note tabs and laminated them on decorated paper.
See the bow marker sticking up there?? cute!

I have new ideas getting under way though.. I finished up another Memory Bear for the same friend that I made the quilt and other bears for..

I made this little do dah thing last night.. I made a place to lay my phone on when I sew .. to see my alerts and listen or watch Netflex.. (love that one) I found a tutorial HERE for this iphone/ipad/smartphone stand.. it takes little fabric and you can stuff with whatever is handy ,,scraps, beans, rice, plastice bags..etc.. I have a couple custom orders to get finished ( I haven't forgotten you Trish!) then I'm starting to get my Etsy shop back in line!

Lovely Year of Finishes for FEB!!! DONE!

I was pushing time to get this one done! But got it finished with days to spare! I picked a flannel lap quilt to do for my February project.. A good friend of mine sent me those flannel shirts for bears to make that I blogged about HERE. I made those plus had alot left over to make this lap quilt! Its super warm! I have no money invested in it! My mom gave me some quilt batting that a friend of hers gave her and I already had the flannel for the back.. and the binding was some stuff I just had laying around! Let me show you! This is the top.. I had asked my mom , the quilter, which way would be best to "quilt" it and we both thought the old fashioned way of tying bits of yarn.. I remember tying alllllllllllllll those for my grandma when she did these quilts..

On the top of the front I used one of the pockets off one of the shirts and it is a usable pocket!

Maybe for tissue or something..

This is the back.. I used flannel I have had for some time.. looks pink here but its NOT lol this is a MANLY quilt!

On the back I put another pocket from the shirts and added a Memory label. The shirts are from my friends good friend that passed away a few months ago..

So we now have a memory quilt..

My binding is two different colors! lol Like I said I wanted to use up some stuff I already had.. At least I kept it one color!

I can not believe I finished this one! I don't quilt.. like at all! Entering Lovely Year of Finishes monthly sew alongs is helping sew more and get more projects done! yay!

Now I have to find a new one for March... hmmmm

My binders and one for sale!

I have a bad habit when I see something new I want I need to try out different styles or ways before I decide what is right for me.. I have always used planners, notebooks or off brand binders.. was never happy with most of them or the setups I was using.. Last year I ordered my first Filofax. Within two months I owned four.. ahem....cough cough.. I have the Holborn Pocket, Holborn Slim , Holborn Personal and a Pink Domino A5 .. I even have a Petal Pocket I am holding back to give as a gift.. I gave one to a friend for Christmas and hoping she likes it! I need to gift this ASAP so it can get some use from the year inserts. I might consider selling it by next month if I can't think of anyone to gift to. I wanted to finally show my set up that I am cozy with!!! First this was my setup and will show you what I'm using now in a bit... This is my Franklin Covey I recently purchased from Carla over on Friday,I'm In Love . I love it with the huge 1.75" rings!

I had it stuffed to the gills too.. I'm going to take the monthly inserts out and use this for my budget , addresses, and blog/sewing planner. I wanted to carry my planner with me but this fatty thing was way too big. I needed to have at least my monthly, weekly calendar with me.

I made my tabs.. again. For the month tabs I just wrote them on a clear tab sticker. Then the additonal tabs behind are Martha Stewart sticky tabs.

I love all the pockets in this too. Of course I have inside my little Zoey-bug.

I started the year using the FF inserts that came with my Holborn Personal. Then I made a few of my own and went back to the inserts..like I said it takes me awhile to find my own way...

This is how I like to do my pages.. I use highlighters to divide my days.. and highlight the days . The print for the days are sooo small!

This was a busy week from the end of January. I use pink sticky dots for Zoey days and use the bigger stickers from Martha Stewart to sort of make doc appointments stand out. then write in who it is for on the sticker.

Here is a blank week I wont even use as I went to my Holborn Pocket now.

Do I have any Southland fans out there?????!!!!!!

Ok here is what I will be using for my calendar and to carry with me as a wallet as well.

The thing I love the most about the Holborn's are the soft and flexible leather.

and the many pockets!!!

Plenty of room for my cards.. my cash go inside the top slip pocket. My pen I use is the Frixon mult-colored pen. It won't fit in the pen holder so it gets stuck on the middle rings. It shuts well enough.

I am only using some plain tabs for now.. I might make me some new dividers or order from JapanCorner on Etsy. She makes some adorable inserts and dividers!!!!

I have my weekly pages behind the diary, the notes are......notes lol and behind the information I have my list of books I want to get and reading now.

My week...

( I use another Frixon pen to put in the pen holder too)

Also I just use a paperclip for now for my Today tab. I'm still moving in this!

I use the same basic set up here as the Frankly Covey binder. I use the FF week on 2 pages that came with the binder.

I do like this way. Its little and can be carried with me !!!And still big enough to pretty up my week!

I use stickers, and stamps.. I don't like the ink I'm using right now.. they bleed through but I noticed the FF pages are very thin...

So now you can see the difference of the two.. yes. big difference...!

Ok, I use to use Post it notes in my week for to-do's and reminders..

Since there won't be much room in my Pocket I am using this system for ALLLLLL my planning and To Dos!!!

I made this cover last year for a composition notebook. I like my little pen holder on the front =)

I found a notebook with the graph paper. I made a week calendar at the top. If I think of anything for that week I will jot it down then move it to my binder week.

I love highlighters so using those to divide my boxes up and when finished I cross it out.. that way I can still see what I finished.

The left side is things to do and not to forget about.. the right side of page is for my blog and sewing stuff, shopping list for materials and make calls...I keep this beside my chair or desk all the time..

I made myself a portable binder carry all.. I like to carry it all to my recliner and doodle in my planner while watching tv....

I think that covers it??? OHHH Would you like to know what is for sale?? hehehehe

I believe I will sell my Holborn Slim.... I used it as my wallet for awhile . It went good but I don't think I will use it anymore at all. I am going to get together what will come with it and post it here in a few days..I know it will have the 2013 weekly pages. I used a couple of the pages but from January. some dividers and extra pages.. I bought this on sale from the Filofax USA site. If anyone is interested I can take pictures to send or you could wait for a couple days til I post here.I will send international as well....

February Lovely Year of Finishes....

I almost didn't think I would find one to do this month.. I have been cutting these flannel squares out for a small lap quilt from flannel shirts.. I sure hope I can make it , I'm not much of a quilter and I didn't think sewing squares together would be too hard.... will see.... (this is a secret project for a friend... well it might not be secret now )

So......Hopefully by the end of this month this will be finished into what would be a lap quilt...

My next post will be about my Filofax and Franklin Covey binders, with LOTS of pics!!!!.

I have one for sale so stay tune!! (it will NOT be my FC )

Squeezable bears and kittys!

Here they are!

I have made 2 big bears, one little bear and two cats. My little bear eyes are looking a little weird I think LOL

I wanted to use fleece in the big bears to give them some character.. and their clothes look like jammies!!!

Of course Zoey saw these and demanded for me to make her some lol and of course Gramma says yes mam.

All the eyes and some nose's are buttons from the shirts themselves. On the bigger bears I took bigger buttons and laid the smaller ones inside..

the front of the bellies I took the front part of the shirts that button up and sewed it up the front of the bellies to make it look like a buttoned up top! I thought about adding a small pocket but would of been too little.

Don't you love their fat bellies!!! And they are so soft and squeezable!!!

I used my new labels I ordered from gutenTAGs on Etsy. I love them!!! I got two sizes and both are made to fold over and sew in. One side has Applehead Threads and the underside says by Suzee Neal made in usa..

The patterns for these critters come from CreateJoyMakeStuff on Etsy!!! They are so cute!

I have one more thing I'm making with the left over shirts.. but its a secret!!! I'll be sending these out soon because it will take a bit longer to finish the secret thing up... or things??? I'm trying to make use of every bit I can.. any ideas what to do with the cuffs of shirts????

I am posting about my Lovely Year Of Finishes that I mentioned I joined few weeks ago.. I had it done the first week and then almost missed my deadline to post about it finished!
I made the Island Tote Bag by Ala Mode. It was pretty easy and went with the clutch style.. I wish now I made it as a longer tote. I don't like everyone seeing down inside my purse ! I didn't put a closure on it either.. but here it is...

Please excuse my backdrop.. I somehow managed to lose my white boards I used for backdrops for my pictures.. how can I misplace or lose 2 large white sheets of poster boards?? I have no idea!

Instead of inside pockets I went with a insert .. I found this tutorial on Pinterest from freshcrush.. Its made using a cereal box! ha!
