REVIEW: San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation

Finding the perfect foundation is key to creating the perfect look. We girls got to cover the bases -- and by mean cover I mean hide those flaws, and bases I mean prep the skin. So given the chance to dip into the Matte-Finish Liquid Foundations by San-San, here's my story.

The shades are limited. There are only four shades and I'm sorry I have only three! From left, that's 1, 3 and 4. Personally, I don't like when make-up is just coded. I prefer names so maybe a little more creativity on that aspect. It's so much easier to remember names anyway. Packaging is super though. I really like it! It's in a matte-finish (how apt, glass bottle). These foundations are enriched with vitamins, like all San San cosmetics.

It came with a wand applicator. Essentially I don't believe the wand was made to apply the product directly on the face. It is best used to just scoop the product off the bottle. Think of it like a spoon. :) If you love spooning... JK!

Having an applicator that works like a spoon has some pros and cons. The pros is it's not messy. The cons is it can be unhygienic and it may lead to wastage. Actually, wastage is not solely the wand's fault; but the bottles. It's harder to "lick the bottle clean" because, well, you can't! Unlike if the foundation is in a tube, you can simply cut the tube in half and scoop out product. :) But that's just me. Since the foundations are very affordable, I am not worried about the idea of wastage so hah!

Hopefully the photos above illustrated how fluid the consistency of the product is. With that, you're assured it's not sticky. It is actually well-absorbed by the skin and it doesn't cake. We hate cakey foundations. Me likes my cake on a plate, not my face.

Since I'm amazed by how #3 disappeared on my skin! I swatched it again!

And now I'm convinced it's my perfect match!

Sorry for the sudden change in skin tone. No, I'm no alien. I just notice that when against bright sun light, my skin shows a little redness. Is that what you call undertone? Understand? I applied the matte foundation generously on my cheeks and believe me not, I'm floored myself by how smooth my cheeks looked like! Yes, I'm already wearing a light layer of powder blush, still. It looks poreless!

Then outdoor I realized the reason. The matte finish liquid foundation seem to work like a light diffusing foundation too. I mean, look! My face is eating light!

Roughly six hours after (sorry, indoor lighting now so back to my non-red skintone), my forehead is a bit shiny already but perhaps that's because I applied the foundation lightly on the area. On my cheeks, where I applied the foundation generously, it's still mega-matte. Loves it. (Notice how my lipstick's gone! LOL)

With that, I conclude that the Matte finish liquid foundation is effective in keeping the face shine-free; just remember to use enough product!

REVIEW: Wet N Wild Hannah Pinktana Nail Polish

Don't judge but I love Hannah Montana. I guess every girl my generation is a Disney girl one way or another, and Hannah Montana is a series that truly caught my attention while growing up. It was funny and it had catchy songs. I also love the blonde wig (and Lily's wigs) to boot. Then add the fact that I'm very close to my little sister, and we both love singing and playing pretend, you should be surprised I'm not worshipping the show!

So imagine my delight when I found out there's a polish named Hannah Pinktana! It's by Wet n Wild. :) I was introduced to Wet n Wild polishes by The Sneakerette. She got me Sagreena the Teeneage Witch. Funny names right?! :D Check it out here.

Anyway, fast forward to yesterday, I received my very own Hannah Pinktana! I was having a rough day so before sleeping, I removed my super lovely Kleancolor Chunky Holo Bluebell polish and replaced it with a pink one. Let's take one last look on my holo nails.

Then let's welcome my new Platinum Pink nails. Unfortunately, Hannah Pinktana is sheer so I layered some of my current favorite silver glitter polish on it (photo below shows one layer of HP as base, then the silver),

then layered more pink and so on and so forth and voila. A nice mix of pink and silver--a platinum pink! It's so easy because Hannah Pinktana dries so fast. It wasn't messy to layer with--which I really liked. I'm a very clumsy girl so anything that can help me not make a mess is welcome to my life!

As you can see, the color's not that true to the bottle but I do like its glitter effect, especially when layered thrice. It's very easy to layer with also because of it's applicator. The brush is a breeze to work with. It didn't leave streaks--formula wasn't a "streaker" too.

Titanic is a memorable movie. I knew nothing about life, love and even movies when I first saw it but I knew for the fact and this fact remains true now, it's a great film. It's a great story. It had a strong cast. The production executed everything with exquisite grandiosity.

Now I'm extremely delighted that it's going to show in 3D format! I'm marking my calendar. April 7 is the date. Coinciding with the Titanic's 100th anniversary since sailing, Philippines going back to venture the beauty of the deep.

Leo and Kate's so perfect for Titanic. Even after years since it was produced, I am still in total agreement that they owned the part. With James Cameron as director, Titanic is definitely all-star.

Now the timeless“Titanic” will be bac in its full glory with enhanced, never-before-seen experience re-mastered in digital 3D. I bet the 3D format would make 1997 Titanic feel more of a distant memory!

What is Titanic all about?

FEATURE: Kleancolor 235 Chunky Holo Bluebell

So excited to share with you an eye candy polish. Frankly, when I first saw this at the Cosmetologie 2012 trade show, my heart literally leaped off my chest. People who know me knows how much I love glittery, shimmery, shiny things. Upon seeing Kleancolor 235 Chunky Holo Bluebell, I felt like I have met my soulmate.

True enough, I still skip a breath every time I look at my fingertips (as I'm wearing the polish now). Seriously, I wish I took home all the Holo polishes.

Kleancolor has such a wide and great selection of nail polishes. So far so good. I have only tried this polish from the brand but I'm extremely, undeniably satisfied with the results. The glitter and color is true to the bottle. I can't imagine anyone not liking this polish.

To me, it's like having painted the cosmos on my nails. How fancy. Check out these pictures. I had to position my hand to meet light differently so you could see the holo effect. Personally, I like calling it the "holy moly, so pretty" effect. For base color, I used Chic Nails in Blue Velvet Glaze.

I like it best when the green shows.

If I were living in the US, I would be getting myself more Kleancolor nail polishes. Although available in the Philippines (through one local reseller), upon checking Amazon, I found it gets better in the US! :(

Here are great deals you might want to take advantage of! Imagine having six, yes SIX Kleancolor polishes for less than $5! A lot are on sale from a whopping $25.

Please... do me a favor. Since I can't get any of these, could you please shop and enjoy the deal? I want someone I know to take advantage and then tell me all about it! I can feel my heart breaking because I can't avail of the deal (I did the math, if I have it shipped to my country, it's like the deal's pointless--and I'll just feel guilty about the purchase...)

HAUL: Cosmetologie 2012

I came. I saw. I conquered.

There was a stall that sells a bunch of face masks but was like uhm is this brand credible, I don't understand what's written, uhm hello where is this from? And the associate was like meh IDK. So I was like, haha meh also. I won't buy!

Sad because the brush cleanser I wanted to buy from Suesh was not available. MEH!

Thank you for the great deals. A lot fo the stalls were already closed when I arrived and I was in a super-in-a-hurry mode so I visited stalls like a boss. Nothing can stop a woman with a plan.

Gameface on, hehe. I am wearing this really unique lipstick. I kinda not like it because I think it's not worth it BUT I can't deny that I find it unique... will post about it next time.

Happy 5th Birthday, Nuffnang!

I can still remember, it was like a different era. When I started blogging, I also signed up with Nuffnang just because everybody seems to be signed with it. At first, there was nothing. I just had the survey which I myself answered just to see what it's about. I thought Nuffnang would never accept my blog. I thought I was a nobody.

Then came my first ever Nuffnang ad! I was so ecstatic. It was like finding a friend who trusts you too. I felt validated, tbh. More than anything, I felt like I was part of something. It inspired me to do better and to work harder.

I've been blogging formally as Ms. Loving Sunshine for what, less than 2 years now, and I feel like I wouldn't be the blogger that I am now if it wasn't for that first ad. Oh, and the second, and the third, etc. It's so humbling to be part of a community that values content more than numbers. I'm thankful Nuffnang's around to make sure quality is not equivalent to rarity.

BEAUTY: Inspired by Santana of Glee

Who doesn't love Santana of Glee? Played by the super sexy Naya Rivera, I took inspiration from her look and thought of creating a polished everyday make-up look worthy of winning the Nationals!

Aah Santana's sexiness

Santana's look is hugely clean and basic. But let's not forget her heavy lashes and her delicious lips. I tried to recreate something similar that would work with my features and for this look I used mostly mineral make-up only. The key in recreating Santana's look is in achieving perfectly clear skin and thick lush lashes.

So let me first share what I have to work with, hehe

Imperfections everywhere! Anyway, I hide them by using Everyday Minerals Beige Neutral matte make-up base that I got as a gift from Eileen (visit her page here). Then I use my Perfecting Concealer Stick from Guerlain (sorry, I don't have a mineral concealer... have not encountered one too! Share me recommendations?)

Then I use my favorite ELF Mineral Powder Foundation in Light. Here's a photo of me with just half of my face, with foundation.

After I cleared my face from those horrid imperfections, I prettified my brows and applied a very subtle yet pretty eyeshadow. I used Sand Beige and Champagne pigments from Beauty and Minerals.

They were perfect! I wanted to have a very clean eye area but didn't want it left bare so I opted to use nude mineral pigments. The reason why I wanted it to be a clean area: thick lashes. I tight lined my eyes then applied a thick falsie.

I just love how Sand Beige mimics my natural skin tone. It's like a radiant powder instead of a shadow. Very very chic.

I have amateur falsie-skills but I needed to do it for the sake of Santana-worthy lashes. Amateur as I am, the best tip I can give you is to be patient. Wait for the glue to be tacky. Applying falsies would wet glue could ruin your make-up! :)

So anyway, here's how my Santana-inspired eyes turned out like. These photos would show how I missed applying the lashes properly near the inner corner of my eye haha

Now for a sexy glare.

After my eyes, I just went on and applied a peachy blush. I used a blush from Ellana Minerals. Here's a photo of me with one cheek blushed up.

Then let's do both cheeks, and smile.

As you can see I started the look with a pinkish lip butter but realized it's not honest to Santana's look so I changed it eventually. I'm using a lipstick from Sansan. I was supposed to use Earth Angel from Human Heart Nature so it's still mineral, but I threw mine away because it got crappy haha.

I fixed my high pony and I'm done!

My girlfriend said I was too fair so I edited a photo and gave myself some color. :p

REVIEW: Fashion 21 Aqualicious Lipstick in Little Mermaid, Moon River and Southern Red

Everytime I'm left to my own devices in a mall, I end up entering department stores' make-up sections. How I wish the nearest mall is SM so at least I get to enjoy Watsons shelves; however the nearest mall from our house and office is Robinsons so I settle. The RDS near us doesn't have a lot of choices and I'm a hundred percent sure I've been through everything (and that the sales associates already know me) but for some weird reason I always end up with a "new find".

Recently, while I was searching for a "friendship lipstick" for my Singapore swapmate, I found these Aqualicious lipsticks by Fashion 21. I really liked them so I ended up with three tubes--one of which is half of a pair since my swapmate and I agreed we should have a matching lip shade! :)

Fashion 21 is a veteran brand to my make-up vocabulary. I can remember perfectly how I first knew about the brand through Candy magazines and through their Cinderella branches. When I was in highschool (with a wallet that considers Maybelline make-up as expensive), I always end up checking out Fashion 21 products. I am so happy that one of my favorite roll-on glitter shadows are still on shelf! I am thinking of getting some but I figured, I have outgrown them (roll-on eyeshadows = precision? what precision?).

I felt so young checking out Fashion 21 racks once more. They have so many new products to choose from! Not only have their collections grew wide, they seem to also cater to even mature customers! Before all they have were basically what tween need; but I guess since they know their customers are having more sophisticated tastes in cosmetics, they adapted to that.

Lot and expiry stamps are clearly shown but I can imagine it fading away.

Aqualicious, I believe, is for the teens. It's not a tweeny range but I don't think it's also for the career woman. They have this other range for the "career woman" but I really had to hold on to my money and opted to just get those at a later time. Don't worry, would still review them for you as I like the packaging and would feel bad if I don't share them on this blog.

Anyway, Aqualicious packaging reminds me of old school lipstick packaging. The case locks perfectly and although it is plastic, it has a catchy tip.

As I've mentioned earlier, I got three shades. I got Little Mermaid, Moon River and Southern Red. I got those shades as it represents primarily the three major colors I love for lipsticks: warm pink, coral and red. I find that warm colors work best with my skintone.

I really like the pigmentation these tubes deliver. I was surprised as well because they don't feel waxy at all. All in all, these lipsticks are quite fun to work with. As you can see in my swatch above, it give intense color with just one swipe (yes, that's just one swipe). Also, Aqualicious is a moisture-rich lipstick. Below are swatches that can easily illustrate what I mean by them being moisturizing.

While some people buy because of packaging, a huge bulk of my cosmetic purchases are influenced because of product naming. I also got the tubes I chose because of their names.

This is Little Mermaid. Who can say no to a Disney name, right?

This is Moon River. I got it because it reminded me of the song Moon River.

Lastly, here's Southern Red. I don't know how saying it's southern contributed to describing how red the lipstick is but as much as the lipstick is a nice red shade, I think it can get redder.

LIFE: Comet Needs Company

It is no secret that last summer 2011 I bought an Olympus EP-1 (because I thought it was handsome and I just literally fell in love at first sight). It was the kind of purchase I didn't really think about. Well, I just had to figure out how to pay for it, that's all. Besides that, it was no question. I wanted the camera so I got it.

Just look at it! HANNN-SUMM

I didn't bother read about it. I didn't want to hear what people think. I don't want to hear about it being a bad investment; neither do I want to hear about it being a great one. Personally, I thought, I wanted the camera... whatever bad or good thing it has, I want to know myself--through experience.

So today, I'm a few months late from getting my electronic flash. Of course, obviously, a downside is that it doesn't have one... but I don't care. I said, I'll just buy one. I'll build it up one accessory at a time. But oh dear, I haven't even gotten off to any start in terms of that plan. So a while ago I decided, I will canvass an electronic flash for Comet. FYI, Comet's the name of my camera.

It all started with just canvassing for an electronic flash... then I found a kit-deal that seemed reasonable since a little more dough meant a tripod and a spare battery (still wishing the kit included a remote instead)... then I saw the wide angle lens that I want to marry. But jeezuss. I need money. I wanna sell my soul.

Oh my goodness, imagine it (the lens shown on the third amazon link above) on a silver pen, cause Comet's silver.

Any tips on raising camera-funds?

I want to cry. A dollar a tear?

AWARD: Stylish and Versatile

With all the anti-hate campaigns sprawling the world, I can't help but wonder which is stronger: love or hate?

Definitely, hate is a strong emotion. Personally, I find it more difficult to hate than to love. Love is a blissful feeling and it's just so easy to let oneself go and get lost in it. Some people even drown themselves in love. Some people surround themselves with love. Some people love all things in life. Can you name a person who can hate all things in life... like all? I can't, I guess I'm considering myself lucky.

Hate, on the other hand, is a completely different feeling. It's funny how when we hate somebody, we behave similarly as to when we love someone--but with a downwide spiral catch. It's sad, to nurture anger. I have to admit, I often find myself lured back into a dark place as well but everytime this happens, I always do my best to reel myself back to the light. I think there's so many things in life that I can be thankful for; enough to overcome the few things that I wish would change, I wish would go away.

However, I do hate how at times, hate haunts me. I keep myself together by recounting the great people with whom I can share myself with--no judgments. I know blogging is a dangerous hobby but I have taken a few risks here and there, and although I have my failed attempts, my failures does not change my successes. So I'm claiming this award with a different theme. I know a lot of you imagine me always bubbly and happy, and although I often am, there are a few things that I don't like!

I know this came late but I know it's never too late for friendships to begin. In a way, this would also be cheating as I'm using these 7 random things to claim two awards! hehe

1. I am painfully insecure about writing. Sometimes I find myself reading bestseller after bestseller because I find bittersweet pleasure in reading (and wishing) I wrote as good as these great writers.

2. I like to delete things. I like clearances (clearance sales included!). I like cleaning my room, changing my bag, arranging my drawers, etc. I like the feeling of a fresh start the most... so I also like deleting phone messages, emails, etc--especially if I want to escape a certain bad memory. I know deleting things that someday I would regret deleting is bad, but I have a weakness--the past.

3. My nails always break. They are as weak as my dietary discpline when faced by creamy, cute Red Velvet cupcakes with tangy cream cheese frosting. I love cream cheese frosting. I can eat a tub of cream cheese frosting and totally not feel guilty about it!

4. I have one extremely long eyelash. It grows ever so often, and I remove it everytime it grows back. It's twice the length of my regular eyelash. I don't know why it's super long. Sometimes, it's even a gray lash. Ohmymomma, am I a grundma?

5. I like being alone. I talk to myself sometimes. Is that crazy?

6. I am afraid of public humiliation. Who isn't anyway?

7. I always feel not enough. That's why I like Taylor Swift's song Mean. It's a happy song. I wish I can play and sing or even just sing it with valid reason and enough bragging rights to sing it, some day.

Since this award claiming is a cheat (2-in-1), I don't know how to tag people. Do I tag 14? Do I tag 7? If I tag 7 or 14, do they receive 2 awards? haha Oh dear, so I figured to leave it up to you.

REVIEW: Human Heart Nature Mineral Eyeshadow in Sweet Innocence and Enchanted evening

Please welcome my swatch of the day: Human Heart Nature Enchanted Evening and Sweet Innocence Velvet Mineral Eyeshadow Palette.

From L-R, first three shades (purples) are from the Human Heart Nature Enchanted Evening palette while (the nudes) are from Human Heart Nature Sweet Innocence. Basically, each palette is designed for day and nigh-wear. But if you ask me, both can go from am to pm. As you can see, both palettes are warm and great for Filipina tones (morenas, olives and honey skin tones). Sweet Innocence would be perfect for fair skinned ladies but I would recommend caution when using Enchanted Evening if you're a mestiza.

Human Heart Nature Sweet Innocence

The shadows are a bit difficult to work with. Based on experience it chooses certain tools (brushes). You might want to use your fingers as it works well through finger application but if you ask me, it's always a better choice to blend using brushes so perhaps stick to those tools that are compatible to mineral make-up application. It comes in a very pretty packaging though, so to me the drawbacks are a bit compensated--especially with it's Beauty for a Cause factor. You should know that since these shadows use Passionfruit Seed Oil in their formulation, each palette supports a livelihood of farming communities in Davao!

Human Heart Nature Enchanted Evening

Besides being mineral make-up, Enchanted Evening and Sweet Innocence are 100% free from harmful chemicals. Unlike other mineral make-ups out there (that still carry certain toxic chemicals), these babies are completely safe. It doesn't have mineral oil, among many. For your information, mineral oil is commonly used as a binding ingredient for compact make-up and it may be a reason why your eyeshadow is silky... but it may also be the reason why you experience eye irritations and even breakouts.

If you're into dramatic colors/looks, you might not like these sets though, no mater how much "goodness" they have as it takes generous building up to achieve fabulous pigmentation with this shadows. Personally however, I like giving my skin a breather every now and then so whenever I can, I take chemical-free days for my face too (since my hair and body is almost 90% chemical free in terms of personal care products used on a daily basis).

REVIEW: Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara

Growing in a fairy-tale-friendly environment makes it oh-so-natural for me to be completely enamored by royalty. Kings, queens, princesses and princes are but fair game for me. They are beautiful and of course, with their blue blood, majestic; so I got really excited to hear of Lash King's arrival in the Philippines. If you have not heard of yet, yes, our tropical paradise has been graced and is now under the spell of Majolica Majorca's Lash King.

For this post, let me share with you my thoughts on Lash King. I'm a huge eyelash person and I can't keep mum about this any longer. Frankly, I'm a huge Maybelline mascara girl and you should not be surprised to hear me rave and rave about their Volum' Express Cat's Eye Mascara but ever since I got to try Lash King, I feel like my life has been changed.

Because mascaras have very limited shelf life, I always try my best to not have two opened tubes at the same time. As I was still with a good tube of Cat's Eye, I went out of my way to test Lash King. Glad to say, it's worth it. In a way, the king set me free. I can now live free from the chains that I thought would bind me eternally with Maybelline's undoubtfully great mascara (Cat's Eye). Because of Lash King, I am now a changed shipper. Majolica Majorca Lash King has everything I want in a mascara--and probably everything you would want to. It's funny to remember, but I was completely floored by how Lash King delivered. It lengthened my lashes dramatically. I can't go back to anything less.

I thought it was just a marketing ploy but based on how it delivered dramatic results, it really isn't. Lash King is the king of all lashes. It can offer dramatic length (reason comes next), sultry volume, long-lasting curl and precise application. If you want doll-like lashes sans falsies, the Lash King's court should be your destination.

Here are photos of Lash King in action. One eye obviously is bare while the other is under Lash King's spell.

Oh, let me just share another thing. Don't you just hate how mascara advertisements are so deceiving? Don't you just hate how mascara ads claim volume or length or curl with a model that we all know is wearing maybe two or three layers of false lashes? Well, it's different with Lash King. I don't know the technicalities of their ad (photo below) but based on how I experienced Lash King, the results are very honest-to-goodness extremely close to their campaign ads. So I'm happy. I like brands that value the trust I give them. I don't like being disappointed by a product.

This is the Lash King's Acrobat Catch Brush. It helps separate your lashes to avoid a clumpy look. It also effectively coats every single lash with... 5mm lash fiber. Yes, because of the Lash King's 5mm lash fibers, your natural lashes can really go the mile. For your comparison, (especially if you're Asian, listen up) a natural lash hair is approximately 5mm long too. If we do the math, Lash King can literally double the length of your fluttering lashes allowing it to catch every subject's attention. Don't worry, the lash fibers won't poke your eyes unlike other lash-fiber based mascaras! No pain BUT yes to glory!

Now don't worry if my news got you all teared-up with joy. Lash King is water-proof. It doesn't smudge at all. Based on how I used it, one layer is good but if you want to build up the volume, you can build up up to three layers of the product. Personally though, two coats are enough.

REVIEW: Careline Lipgloss

I would like to share with you my candy-colored kisses. I can easily say that these glossies are the best finds I ever discovered from our local drugstores! It's a range of glossies from Careline. They're all Php60 a pop but despite the affordability, the pigmentation of these lip glosses are dramatic. They glide like soft creamy lipsticks in a wand. They stay on the lips long. They smell good and they're not sticky, like you would normally expect from a lip gloss.

Cute how they're like test tubes! They're so handy. Oh, don't let me forget the fact that these lippies are enriched with vitamin E!

Swatches coming right up!

Now for the best part, swatches on the lips! I hear you. Swatches against an arm will not always yield similar results when applied on the lips!

My favorite among the bunch. It's a very delicious light toffee color. Notice how creamy it is.

But I know that's a nude color, so to prove their pigmentation, check out this powder pink shade.

Amazing right? It can really change things up! It's like I'm wearing anime lip color!

And of course, let's not let V-day end without red kissers. This red shade has a different finish compared to the rest. It has a pearly finish.

Last but not the least, the bloodiest of 'em all. :)

If I remember it well, the line has eight colors. Would I go buy the rest of the shades from the gloss range? DEFINITELY. These items are so worth it!

If your loved one loves The Little Prince, she'd love this.- K) to something much more extravagant, your lover will appreciate the sentiment and know you’re thinking of them. If you’re feeling creative, you could make them a special mix-CD of your favourite songs or an album of photos of your favourite times together, you wearing their favourite outfits or whatever else takes your fancy. You could write them a romantic love letter which is so much more sentimental than a card and this way they’ll know exactly how you feel about them. Any of these ideas will help your lover feel like you’re there in person even though you can’t be.

To keep your long distance relationship alive the best tool you have is conversation. Rather than relying on emails or text messages, have real life conversations to maintain the feeling of a fulfilling relationship. When it comes to special days like Valentine’s or your anniversary, a thoughtful and meaningful conversation can really make the difference. If you or your lover is feeling down about not being together on the special day, a few choice words can really make the situation seem much better. If phone calls are too expensive, messenger programs such as Skype and GoogleTalk are designed to ensure you can keep in contact at all times. Even better, programs like these mean you can make video calls and it’ll feel like a proper face to face conversation, which is just what you need when you’re feeling down. A quirky and creative idea for Valentine’s Day is to arrange a Skype Date. Create a romantic and inviting dinner table, set up your laptop and have a date to remember with your lover broadcast in from many miles away. This creative and fun idea will be something you never forget and cement your relationship further.

Go on Dates

This may sound like a silly idea but why not consider going on a date on your own, but with your date in spirit. With the distance between you it can be difficult to go on regular or even special dates physically, so consider doing the same things at the same time in your respective locations. The easiest and most fun way of enjoying this idea is to go and see a movie. You can both choose to see the same film at the same time in your individual locations and when you get home you can have a good thorough chat about the movie you enjoyed together despite not being in the same town. Sadly you won’t have anyone to share you popcorn with but you’ll have a shared experience to remember and add to the history of your relationship. It’s important to make time for your relationship even if it is long distance, and chatting online until 4am every morning isn’t going to satisfy you forever.

Some would say I'm on a roll ;p I've been organizing my makeup and so far I'm having a blast! Then one lazy Sunday afternoon, as I was browsing Amazon.com, I saw these amazing products on sale... and I mean sale! Oh my god, huge savings!

I know none of you would buy a $300 acrylic case so I think it's very tempting to give in to this deal I found. What a waste if you let it pass! From $300 to $74! I'm losing my mind! It's perfect for palettes, blushes and pretty much everything!

Oh my god, so here's another. You save $90! It's $44 from $135! Gah. This one's perfect if you want to separate your single shadows from the palettes. Or you might want to use the four small drawers to organize your gloss collection! Even eye pencils!

I love Home and Wine! My gosh, from $250 to $71! This is a jewelry case (notice the cabinets on the side?) Who says your accessory organization shouldn't match your cosmetics?

EVENT: Summer is More Fun with Nivea Sun - Nivea 7 Summer Wonders

Experienced one of those "lazy weather" days today. I miss having no work on a Sunday. Sundays used to be my favorite day of the week cause it meant rest for me. Oh, how things change.

Few nights ago I attended Nivea Sun's Summer Party at Skye Lounge at Bonifacio High Street. I'm so psyched to have attended the first Summer Party of the year! I love Summer, of all seasons and Nivea's always ahead in launching my favorite season!

Skye Lounge was a lovely venue. It was a relatively cold evening but it's easy to manage when you're with warm company. (From L-R: Shen, Marj, Val--hi girls!) I really love Marj's "cover-up". I wasn't able to look at it closely but it was like a modern and sheer kimono. :D

I was being giggly and naughty with Earth most of the evening though.

We were seated at the very front table and before the fashion show proper, we took notice of how the carpet looked like fake grass. Then Earth went on with cute shoe pictures. I took mine and took hers. Her pointed flats were cute!

It was a fun fun FUN event! Nivea Sun kicked off summer with a press preview of their upcoming Facebook Application-slash-contest-slash-campaign. Everything's happening by March 1 but don't skip a beat and like Nivea Philippines now so you'd be updated with what's to happen!

LIFE: The Boy I First Loved

Although I'm a firm believer of "Love is a year-round feeling."; nothing stops me from ever considering February as the love month. Because of that, let me share with you the story about the very first boy I loved, so much. His name is Raleigh. He's forever going to be a 5-year-old prince to me. Some people say he can be such a brat. Sometimes I agree; but I often rest my case when I remember he's not being a brat. He's just commanding special treatment. I don't mind. To my heart, he's royal.

Just yesterday, her sister said he asked about me when he found out there was an earthquake in my country. He asked if I was where the "er quake" happened. I was beaming when I heard of that story. To have this little boy care for me so much too, is just aww...

FYI, I'm not where the "er quake" happened. Thank God. Prayers to those who were affected though.

Anyway, back to good vibes. Here he is with the stuffed toy I still wish I have... in his Batman briefs hihi

Maybe when I visit, we can play Call of Duty Black Ops all day. We used to play by network but lately I couldn't make time, it stings. :( ugh

Would you judge me if I say shopping at Muji is orgasmic?

Ninja photos of Muji MOA. I swear to God, I can forget my name inside that store! Before you go any further, visit Muji online, turn off any music playing in the background and just enjoy the Muji experience (a Japanese song would play upon entering the site)

So orgasmic.

Besides organization, Muji offers office supplies, skin care, cosmetics, apparel, kitchenware and even food!

I already placed a reservation for this baby. It's Php1,250. That's roughly $30! meh.

I am also eyeing this. It's Php950 (?). That's roughly $23. I think it's so much money to spend for organizing eyeliners and mascaras BUT I promised myself I won't get it if the 5-level acrylic drawer (photo above) won't pass my taste (requirement actually. I need the drawers to be thick enough to hold my blushes but unfortunately, according to the SA, they might just be able to hold eyeshadow palettes).

The 2-level acrylic drawers are actually perfect BUT I can't survive with just two drawers. I would have to stack three pops and that would total to almost $100. No way am I spending that much for make-up organization, not yet. I just don't feel deserving yet! :( This is the 2-level drawer. We have this at our store. If by God's will mom decides to change the make-up organization at the store, I am gaining custody of those cases by hook or by crook, hehe. This is priced the same as the 5-level drawer.

TIP: Never drop any of the acrylic cases on display. It's going to be very very awkward, embarrassing and frightening to wait for the verdict: is it damaged or is it not? The guards are very very particular with the items.

REVIEW: Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Brick Red and Pink Peach

I've been on a blogging hyperdrive lately so if you haven't been on my page the past few days, you might want to continue reading the posts before this one as it seems like I published a new article a day, yes, like as if I'm a whole company of people working in an online publication house. Oh well, that's the goal this year. Last 2010 I started the blog thinking, "Oh, I want to start a habit. I will pretend I'm a columnist and write an article every Tuesday." Fast forward to 2012, I'm a team!

I bought these stunning Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks along with some Watershine Pure lipsticks for my friend Krystal. I told you, I am hooked on this beauty swapping thing. I just get really excited when a reader approaches me and sparks a friendship. I'm a very friendly person, don't be deceived by my sometimes brooding aura.

As you can see, the lipsticks are at Php299 each. That's a very affordable price for a stunning lip color. I got these shades with the blog in mind. As I was choosing shades for Krystal, I checked upon these fabulously named colors and ended up picking them up for me too.

What I love about Maybelline's Color Sensational line is their packaging. I love how easy to understand it is. The Browns are in a bronze metal case, the Pinks in a pink case and the Reds in a red one. I brought home Brick Red. Let me share with you what Brick Red looks like. I think she's a beauty.

Brick Red is a classic red lipstick.

It is an extremely flattering color and it can work perfectly well with any skin tone from fair, honey, oriental and olive. I'm on the fair side, I think?

It glides easily on the lips, it doesn't feel thick nor sticky and it has a dewy finish, great for those who like to keep their lips looking dimensional and not flat. Here's another look at it's beautiful effect on my lips. Take note, my pictures are cropped only not altered for enhancement. Brick Red doesn't need any photo-shopping.

Besides having a great red lipstick, Maybelline also has a gem of a pink tone. Along with Brick Red, I got Pink Peach. To be honest, I got Pink Peach because of its name. For those who don't know, make-up wise, I'm very much drawn to love pinks and peaches. Now to have a make-up product named after the two colors I am attracted to, a lipstick no less, you have to give it to me, the freedom to buy it.

Pink Peach is like your best friend turned to a lip color. It's something you can truly just be yourself with. It brings out the best in your smile and it can brighten up any gloomy day. Check it out in action, teasing with a blurry shot cause even with a blurry photo, it looks so angelic.

This is Maybelline Color Sensational in Pink Peach. Because of its natural pink tone, this lipstick works best with your "every day" make-up. Pink Peach is the type of lipstick you can consider always keeping in your kit cause it is very appropriate and very wearable.

Avoid Pink Peach if your have naturally dark lips as your natural lip color might overpower the prettiness of the shade. You don't want muddy pink. You want cotton candy pink.

I'm sure a lot of you are already thinking of ways to celebrate the upcoming, and could be among the most dreaded holiday of the year, Valentines.
