We not only removed the setup fee of our managed European based servers, but also from all our Unmanaged European and USA based servers, by removing this setup fee we hope that customers will find it easier to try out our servers. This means you now already have a quad core processor server as from EUR 95,00 a month (Excl 19% VAT where applicable).

Soon 040hosting will also be adding new managed US based servers, so keep watching our blog.

Registreren Domein namen tussen 17 maart en 18 maart niet mogelijk door werkzaamheden bij de SIDN.

Het zal u niet ontgaan zijn, op 17 maart neemt SIDN een nieuwe versie van het registratiesysteem DRS in gebruik. In de aanloop naar de productiegang van DRS5 treffen wij alvast een aantal voorbereidingen om de overgang naar het nieuwe systeem zo soepel mogelijk te laten verlopen.

Graag informeren wij u over het geplande onderhoudsvenster.

Aanvang: dinsdag 16 maart 2010 12.00 uur
Einde: woensdag 17 maart 2010 12.00 uur

In de praktijk wil dit zeggen dat het niet mogelijk is om een .NL domein naam te registreren tussen dinsdag 16 maart 2010 12.00 uur gmt+1 tot woensdag 17 maart 2010 12.00 uur gmt+1; eventuele bestellingen in ons systeem zullen worden doorgevoerd zodra de SIDN dit weer toestaat.

040 Hosting is making changes in its dedicated server offers, the first change has been introduced today; we will no longer charge a setup fee for the managed servers in Europe. You now can have your own dedicated server with the service of 040 Hosting as from EUR 185,00 a month.

Another change is the contract term for the Managed Dedicated servers in Europe, we will no longer have a bi-monthly contract but you are able to cancel the server monthly, this will applies to NEW but also previous contracts for European servers at 040 Hosting.

040 Hosting fully managed servers come with cPanel and full management of the server; we give the customers the power of a dedicated server without them having to invest in knowledge on how to manage the server.

[Dutch] KPN & XS4ALL only heeft sinds het begin van de middag te maken met een landelijke internetstoring. Dat heeft een woordvoerder van het telecommunicatiebedrijf bevestigd. Wanneer de problemen zijn opgelost is nog niet bekend.

Waarschuwing voor XS4ALL gebruikers of nieuwe klanten van XS4ALL

[in Dutch only as XS4ALL is a ISP located in the Netherlands] Beste lezer, xs4all staat bekend als een van de betere kwaliteit providers in dit land, hier hebben we altijd achter gestaan. De kwaliteit van XS4ALL is altijd goed geweest, tot dat we noodgedwongen moeten overstappen op een andere provider; dit heeft helaas als resultaat gehad dat een medewerker van XS4ALL onze opzegging niet juis heeft afgehandeld en wij alleen maar de datum en tijdstip weten van de opzegging (ivm onze VOIP telefoon logs). We hebben ons abonnement telefonisch opgezegd omdat dit gevraagd wordt op de website zelf; maar we hadden beter moeten weten en dit zwat op wit moeten laten weten aan dit inmiddels veelste grote en logge bedrijft wat eigendom is van KPN.

Toen destijds XS4ALL overgenomen werd door KPN begon het bij mij al te kriebelen, maar vandaag heb ik deze kriebel dus ook bevestigd gekregen. Te groot te veel stopdasjes en te weinig mensen die wat over hebben voor een klant die al jaren klant is.

Een excuus en oplossing had ik verwacht; ipv van dit mag ik nu 3 maanden ADSL betalen die ik helemaal niet meer wil gebruiken.

Xs4all; deze klanten ondersteuning slaat nergens op; en daar blijf ik bij. Hoe kan je een trouwe klant op deze manier afschepen. Neen, XS4ALL is niet meer het bedrijf wat het OOIT geweest is.
