was having dinner jus now at bugis junction nydc and ran into abt 20 04s7b seniors. apparently they were gathered to celebrate the cls bday, which is in fact, TODAY! =) lol totally forgot abt it. we shld make it a yearly event lol. 13/7 is the cls bday in case anyone doesnt noe tt.

shall take this opportunity to clear exactly 5 mths of dust and wish 7b a happy bday! meet up soon! =)

Looking at paul's pictures makes me incredibly envious. My goodness! They(the pictures) look almost straight out of some sevenwondersoftheworld book and probably the only thing preventing us from appreciating the landscape a little more is the people within the pictures, who happen to be blocking out huge chunks of beautiful mother earth. (oh dear :P) I would so much like to pretentiously mutter shakespeare-related lines in his own backyard, and indulge in the almost magical climate that contrasts so sharply with sg's.

Such is the pathetic life of sg's urban-ites!

Hello guys!!

Sorry that this is coming so late! Have been really busy with work and random stuff (not sure what also but always dun seem to have enough time hehe). SO as i was saying i went over to coventry to pay xinhui a visit and indulge in some CNY festive joy, so here are some photos! =)

XinHui's favourite shot mode that makes photos look old. =) Pretty tree!

We had scones for lunch, which is a traditional English afternoon tea thing to eat but these were humongous so they were more than sufficient for lunch =P

We visited the ruins of the Kenilworth Castle. XinHui is stooping on the ground coz her strong muscles broke the zip of her bag and she was trying to fix it HAHA. I was too busy laughing at and taking photos of her! =D (but i fixed it in the end ok? =P)

The next day we went to the beautiful beautiful town of Stratford-upon-Avon, which is Shakespeare's birth place! EVERYTHING here had some link to shakespeare, and XinHui and I were joking that we would not be surprised if we saw a toilet which had the sign "This was where Shakespeare once frequented" haha...

Hello all of my dear 7B peeps!!!

I haven been here for forever!! Like CR i almost forgot how to come here le! (Actually i did forget, i was trying my luck with the www.blogger.com (cant be THAT easy to forget this right? =P) but i used the wrong username haha so i got rejected b4 i dug up the right one from me memory!) I used to check it at least once every week! But dunno since when i stopped leh, forgot why i stopped also hehe..

Anyway I went out with XinHui today!! =) She came over to london so we went to one of the markets to walk walk lor.. ANd tml we are going to see the Greenwich Meridian, which is the 0 longitude line of the globe, and where they start counting time from like GMT + how many hours.. SO exciting! =D

It's winter now, perpetually below 5 degrees in london, which is a HUGE relief for me coz i'm very 怕热, and i hated stepping out of home and immediately being drenched in sweat... The ppl here are generally more friendly and polite than in sg, and they dress a lot nicer than in sg, coz u'll nvr find anybody going about in flip flops and singlets (maybe it's suicide in this weather haha), so the baseline is pants and coats and shirts, which is quite nice to see i guess, like ppl bothering to dress up b4 they step into the streets? =/ The architecture and buildings here are very nice, very european and colonial (?), but paris is WAY nicer in terms of design and lay out of the streets. =)

I went to paris during the one week break in nov, then jan will be going to switzerland!! Cant wait to fling myself in snow everyday HAHA. Then i'll go to coventry to look for XinHui during CNY (we can have our UK da tuan bai there while u guys have urs in sg! =) ). In feb i'll be going scotland, then march to portugal and april to spain. And after that i'll be back in sg for vacation attachment with SAF. During term time we work very hard also ok? Haha so it's not just all play and no work... It's more of like since u are in europe le then u must make full use of it and travel around when u have the chance. DUn wait until go back sg then regret not going to all these places right?=)

Congrats again KK!! Everybody else update what's going on in ur lives! =) I know there was a mini gathering last sat, and there was a mahjong session recently!! Tell us (me haha) more about them! =)

Hey dear all, I almost forgot how to even log on to blogspot. Haha, it just goes to show how rusty my blogging skills are. To respond to the previous blogs, here's just a short update on myself:
1. I am not ORDing yet. Sian
2. I just had 4 CAs in this week.
3. I am going to have 2 more in this month.
Cheers, I believe many out there who are going to be ORDinary civilians soon have much better stories to tell! Plus, everyone else who are mugging hard right now in all different universities, oh yeah and plus Paul in UK, please kindly update us on your "colourful" experiences.

guess im one of the "freest" guys in the cls so i guess i'll blog abt yesterday's datuanbai.

yes datuanbai08 was held yesterday, with the 3 stops being, yanling's, ziyang's and huanghao's hses, in tt order. thanks for the venues! they were interesting all in their own right. =) let me take a breath before i announce the namelist of those who participated, tho some for the whole day and some for part of the day.

i assure you all tt u were sorely missed and a minute of silence (insisted by mong) was observed to rmb you all as well as the 23 ppl who died in the Munich Air Disaster 50 yrs ago which took away undoubted the Greatest Man Utd team during tt era.

haha ok tt was random. though it is true tt it is the 50th anniversary.

RIGHT enuf crap frm me. hmmm sry guys for being soooo late la, reaching at 945 am at lavender. made u guys wait yup. yanling's home is pretty cool! haha u have a door on the ground floor that opens to a staircase (the kind u see beside shophouses) tt u need to walk up to the 3rd floor b4 u arrive at her apartment. played mahjong and bridge. haha had my 1st try of mahjong after jus learning it abt 2 days ago. was surprised tt i managed to win 3 times haha. 1 time even "self-made" beginner's luck maybe. altho we didnt play with $ so didnt win anything haha. as the chinese saying goes, " 10 gamble, 9 lose" guess i shouldnt grumble too much haha. =)

next we went to yishun to visit ziyang's new home since he moved frm bedok. a nice home as well, tho ziyang's rm was esp extravagant in my opinion. he has this partition (like a cubicle) for his computer and built in display cupboards to display his magic stuff, pokemon and gameboy stuff, some toys. haha the rm was tt of a star wars fan i think, with posters and the very ex lightsaber. oh yes he had this acrylic case for his ocs sword and badges. hanging over his bed is this huge transformers the movie poster all framed up. haha if i rmb last time at bedok, it was a poster of rinoa frm FF7. yupz. so there was a group who played blackjack, the rest mashing buttons on his ps2, playing naruto something 3.

the last stop was at huanghao's in sembawang, opposite the mrt. the neighbourhood looked like something a condo offers. the home was nt bad too. haha but in contrast to ziyang, he keeps his ocs sword in its scabbard and in a cloth bag, much like how old martial arts exponents from the movies do. well we watched scenes (i say scenes becos we kept jumping here and there) from eragon and xmen 3. his mom was real nice to keep spamming spring rolls and dumplings for us to eat, and ensured tt there was a free flow of coke and grn tea.

had a "fluffy sunday" haha =D. hope tt next yr's edition will be jus as gd or even better. =)

Even as the passage of time is relentless or merciless even, I always love to take a step back at this time of the year, and muse. This year has been a year of many firsts, I am sure, for most members of the class. Increasingly, I perceive this couple of years as being some kind of punctuation in personal development. Not the unnecessary excitement of an exclamation mark, or the emphatic discontinuity of a full stop. But perhaps a comma, signifying a subtle but noticeable change of tone and pace hereon.

This comma marks the birth pangs of a new dawn.

It has been an unhealthy 2 months since the last post appeared. On impulse i suddenly feel like writing something just as the year gradually enters its twilight.

I daresay that perhaps this year is really a transitional year. In the past, your batchmates used to be all in primary school. Following that, all move on into secondary school. Most proceed to JC/Poly thereafter. Upon graduation from JC/poly however, there seem to be a surfeit of crossroads and dichotomous pathways. Whatever our choice(s) is/are or will be, i hope lady luck will be benevolent :).

Even for the poor guys[except medicine chaps] of whom mostly work in very lowly and subservient positions, the nature of our vocations can differ quite dramatically. Some busy themselves with simulated attacks that - if ever were to become reality - will most probably end with the enacting of a tombstone with the words 'RIP [1965 - xxxx]'. Yet others work furiously at their computers at impossibly mundane tasks, putting the final, loving, touches to a long-2-year process of mental fermentation and degradation.

Nevertheless, even as we[especially the guys] experience different vocations physically, we can probably rally beneath mother theresa's remarkable compassion. She once said, "We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the unnecessary for the ungrateful.” Although applied in a different context, her words remain stunningly accurate and universal in their applications. It seems entirely appropos therefore, for me to proclaim: MOTHER THERESA, I AM YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN.

Equally encouraging is her following line:

“We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.”

Indeed, to all 7b ppl, may mother theresa serve as an inspiration. With all certainty, 2007 will fade into history. Just as twilight surrenders to the silent night once more.

Haha and of course everybody missed me to bits during my short hiatus from the class blog! Sometime in march or sth i got blocked out of blogger repeatedly so i guess after a while i just gave up trying until sam's recent email reminded me of this friendly old place! :)

Wow wow to my surprise it's still quite alive haha! keep up the conversations everybody! :) can we come up with a list of where everybody's heading to? Or there' already such a list and i happen to not have seen it? :P ok i'll start! I'm now at OCS air wing doing my service term, and i'll be going over to Paya Lebar Air Force School in 3 weeks' time to start my professional term! Hanging around OCS is quite fun coz i get to see a lot of ppl hehe... I've been bumping into our dear ziyang n twice or thrice into abel! And stupid huang hao came to turn out my platoon!!! >( coz the seniors have this tradition of turning the juniors out and he so happen to get my platoon haha... And of coz there's our dear navy sign-ons Brian, Xinhui n councillor Sam in the mids wing, which is just next to air wing so sometimes i'll traipse over to chat with them hehe.. But now they're all sailed off to dunno where n will only be back in 6 week time is it? And i also see the other councillors quite a lot like mark, xunyu, jie rong, calvin, brendan so it's kinda a highlight of OCS to see so many good frens around haha...

girls who are going for ur studies jia you ok! Show the others HC power man(there's this "friendly" rivalry at air wing btw HC n RJ and i'm happy to note HC has been leading in all fields for the moment :P) Let's meet up soon! :)

hey guys! some of us will be leaving and flying off to unknown regions very soon for an extended period so thought that we should have a gathering of some sort soon... VERY soon coz they flying off soon yea.. yeps so any idea anyone? and if possible pls email me when u guys are free...exact days if not dates of when u can be free.. den can try to work something out.. can also include wad u might like to do.. whether picnic or movie or bbq or wadeva.. yeps.. but i have a feeling its on weekends coz e guys can only come out on e weekends yea.. okok hope to receive emails! if i dun get many i guess i will have to mass emailu guys coz some of u may not read e blogs.. gotta go for now.. actually in school now.. sleepy.........bye zzz.....
