3D Layers. Every layer consists of a colour, specular, transparency and displacement channel.

3D mouse support. 3D-Coat supports 3D SpaceNavigator of 3DCONNEXION. Navigation became more handy and intuitive. Click on one of the 3D mouse button switch it into the parameter's change mode. Now you do not need to use keyboard in order to change radius or depth of the pen. Adaptive subdivision. The main difference between 3D-Coat and other sculpting software is its adaptive subdivision algorithm. Usually sculpting programs divide every edge in 2 parts, so it is very difficult to work with long polygons. 3D-Coat however subdivides every edge in the source mesh depending on its length. So long polygons may be subdivided in a proportion of for example 9:147. You can change mesh resolution multiple times (like other software usually does), but also ina percentage, for example 50%. You paint in 3D-Coat on the vertices, but the adaptive subdivision makes the subdivided mesh very uniform. It is preferable that the mesh has no overlapping UVs, but 3d brush can generate its own UVs if neccesary.

He was born in Olalla, a small town near Teruel, Spain. He has produced many paintings for his own books/exhibitions, and has also produced art for various other media: videogames, CD album covers, comic book covers, and Tarot cards.
He is most famous for his work doing illustrations of Julie Strain for the animated movie Heavy Metal.

An interesting book full of ideas, and obviously, conceptions...Although there are some interesting ideas(???) portrayed by Royo, the art world still has to admire Fantasy Artists for their imagination, prehaps one of the hardest subjects to create. Out of most of his books this one is well put together, and interesting with the use of sketches and the forward pace created from ideas gathered from around his life and created from an active mind-to-paper. Well done!

I love to see the ideas and beginning stages of paintings and images. Luis Ruyo has not let me down with this book. This collection is predominately finished sketches with a handful of colored pieces. The subject matter is almost entirely the female figure.

If you ever wanted to see how L.R. comes up with his final illustrations, this book is for you. You will see sketch-to-sketch-to completion on many of his newer paintings. There are a few final colorized paintings in the middle of the book too. All are amazing. Cant wait for the next one.

Ebook: Luis Royo - Prohibited Book I - II - III

Luis Royo (born in 1954 in Olalla, Spain) is a Spanish artist, known for his darkly sensual paintings of women and mechanical life forms. He has also recently started doing sculptures of some of his earlier art.
He was born in Olalla, a small town near Teruel, Spain. He has produced many paintings for his own books/exhibitions, and has also produced art for various other media: videogames, CD album covers, comic book covers, and Tarot cards.
He is most famous for his work doing illustrations of Julie Strain for the animated movie Heavy Metal.

Prohibited Book I
As an avid Royo fan, I was on the edge of my seat to recieve his latest addition to the collection. Prohibited showed a very "dark" Royo, and not the usual darkness...this went beyond his normally violent/sexy approach and was filled with sexual violence. This book is still a work of art, all of Royo's paintings are beautiful and this is no exception...just not what I was expecting.

Prohibited Book II
This work is not quite the 5 star review I gave, but it is worth more than simply 4 stars. The reason is that this is Royo art as Royo fans would like. The women are stunning and the contrasts between the people and the backgrounds is staggering. Many times, it is like looking into a post appocolyptic issue of Playboy (or, in many cases Penthouse). What keeps this book from being five stars is simply the aforementioned sexuality. Many images are sexually explicit, and of those that are not, they are sexual enough that it would be advisable to keep this book away from impressionably minds. This means that, for most people, this book will be hidden from public view instead of resting on a coffee table with the rest of Royo's art collections.

Prohibited Book III
Luis Royo is a gifted artist. He draws the sexiest picture of women that you'll ever see. His erotic imagery of women having sex with monster is a little disturbing, but what isn't in our society? His women are so realistic and life-like you can't help but be pulled into Luis Royo's twisted world of sex and art. This guy probably gets laid all the time....or never.
