When I wanted to replace our 1980s kitchen cabinet doors, I turned to my pallet wood after seeing a picture of this online. I wanted the door frame to be store-bought wood for a modern look but wanted the center panel to be pallet wood to kind of go with our Corrugated Metal backsplash.

I used the existing hinges to reuse the cabinet bodies as if nothing was wrong with them and used the existing hinges. The door frames are 1×3 Poplar wood from a box store, and I put them together with pocket holes and glue. I resawed my pallet wood pieces in half to make the panels, and they are shy of 1/4″ thick.

I used staples to hold them in a rabbet cut in the door frame. Then, I put one coat of primer and two coats of paint on the door frames, stained the pallet wood, and then put one coat of Polyurethane on top of that.

Glass has a high carbon footprint, and horticultural glass is expensive, so I just had to make good use of this lucky glass from IKEA found on my allotment.

I used assorted pallet wood a cordless circular to cut some of the boards into 4.5 cm strips. The glass decided the overall size, 45cm deep x 45cm high x180cm wide.

Christmas is here, and I wanted to create my own Christmas decorations using wooden pallets. So, before opening a beer with the boys, I planned to create decorative pallet stars, tiny pallet houses, and a pallet Christmas tree.

Dismantling The Pallet

Using two hammers, I dismantle the pallet. My goal is to reuse all the nails used in the construction of this pallet so I can reuse them in the construction of my project.

Sanding

Let’s sand the pallet boards to give them a nice, smooth texture.

Building The Houses

Since I am using a power saw and will be placing my hands and fingers near the blade, I have to be very careful to work as safely as possible.
To create the pallet houses, I use the thick pallet wood that is usually used to separate the bottom and top of the pallet.

To create the roof of the houses, I cut 45º angles on each side of the pallet. To get this 45º angle, I need to draw a square and then cut along the square’s diagonals. Since the width of my pallet is 8 cm, I create a square with 8 cm sides each and then join the diagonals.

Then, by cutting along the square’s diagonals, I can extract two houses and two triangles of 45º angle each. Since I’m not particularly eager to waste wood, I cut two pallet blocks and glued the remaining triangles to them. Once the assembly has dried, I’ll sand the edges and make it look like one piece of wood. That’s it, simple as that.

Building The Stars

To build the stars, I still use pallet wood; however, you can use any wood of your choice, the construction principle is the same.
Each star has five long sides that are 7.1″ long and five short sides that are 6″ long.
Each of these ten pieces will have one side cut at a 36º angle and the other at a 54º angle.
Cutting a 36º angle is easy. Turn the saw blade to 36º, then place the piece of board upright and straight, then lower the blade, easy as that.

However, since the miter saw only goes up to 45º, cutting a 54º angle is not as easy. To do this, I had to create a 30º template on one side and 45º on the other side. Now let’s do the math, 45 + 9 = 54º. So, to cut the 54º angle, I need to set my miter saw to a 9º angle, then place the pallet board next to the 45º side of the template, and then drop the saw. Boom, I made it.

To create the star, we need to glue the 36º angle of the long side to the 36º angle of the short side, as shown in the video.

As I showed in the video, once the sides are dry, join the corners at 54º precisely.

Building The Christmas Tree

Now let’s create the Christmas tree. First, we’ll sort out the top part. Cut a 5.5″ and a 6.5″ pallet board with one side cut at a 30º angle on each board. Next, cut 4 x 7″ boards for the sides. The bottom boards will also need to be cut at a 30º angle each. The base measures 14.5″ long.

For this installation, I cut 2 x 4″ boards for the trunk and a 5.5″ board for the base of the trunk.

That’s it; all that’s left is to glue all the boards together. Stay blessed and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year…

One day wife way asked me to do something meaningful in my workshop, one being to clean up the mess, and two, make her a coffee table. So, I figured, why not do both at the same time, and this video is all about making a beautiful pallet coffee table from all the pallet blocks I had on my floor from pallet dismantling. I looked on YouTube for “pallet blocks coffee table” and there was only one video on the subject with 13 views on it, and these guys’ take on it was not quite what I was thinking about, so I’ll just dive in and try some stupid ideas. I will share all my mistakes and trust me, a make a lot, so hang on. I wanted to use all different kinds of wood, and I also want random end grain and face grain facing up. This can go wrong in so many ways, but more insight on that later. The blocks have been sitting in my shop for about a year, so they are very dry, but some of them are loaded with resin, which will cause issues later.

My plan is to start up by gluing all the blocks together, so I’m starting out by making a big puzzle out of the different blocks that apparently came from as exotic countries as China, South Africa, Turkey, Canada, the USA, Ukraine, Sweden, and many other sponsors to this table.
One of the questions I always get from non-woodworkers about wood glue is: Is it strong enough to just glue wood together, don’t you need screws and nails to hold it together also? If you’re wondering about this too, the answer is coming up shortly.

This is going to be a complicated glue-up, and I’m trying to decomplicate it a bit by gluing the 2 long sides first. That will make it possible to add clamping pressure from all sides, while the blocks stay in shape.

The row of blocks seems solid. All the blocks are different sizes, and the job now is to end up with a massive woodblock of wood.
After gluing the end pieces it’s time to glue it all together. The opening time of my glue is about half an hour, but the temperature is high and there’s a lot of sides to glue together, so I’m working as fast as I can. While the glue dries, a big shoutout to Mark Dainer from Australia. Mark makes everything from pallet wood, he’s very creative, and if you’re into recycled wood, I have linked his channel in the description. Make sure to check it out.

The next day I’m very excited to see the result, and the glue-up worked out as planned. The glue alone makes this tabletop more than stable enough, and if the blocks had been all the same size there wouldn’t be all these gaps and holes between the blocks.
I’m making a very simple mold for this next step. I plan to pour the black epoxy resin into the cracks, gaps, and nail holes of the blocks, and to stop it from leaking out from the bottom, I’m wrapping it in plastic film and duct tape.

This is a deep pour epoxy resin from Entropy, and for some reason, I thought the small cracks and gaps wouldn’t soak up much epoxy, but I was terribly wrong on that.

So, I ordered some bigger buckets and waited almost a month to do the second and third pour here. If you plan to do any epoxy pours, my tips would be making sure to get the mixing ratio right and mix it way longer than you think. I’m using a paint mixer drill attachment, and even for this small bucket, I’m spending on the good side of 5 minutes with the mixer running. Make you there’s not any unmixed epoxy at the bottom or along the sides of your bucket. Unmixed epoxy simply won’t cure properly.

This epoxy takes about 3 days to cure and a week before you can start working on it, so while it cures…

The moment of truth, did my mold hold the epoxy inside, or did it leak? There was a small leak but not too bad. A tip: Just pour a little epoxy, to begin with, and let it cure and close any leaks at the bottom of your project. Then make the big pour and fill all the gaps up. I’m my case I was unsure how much epoxy the gaps could take, so I made two pours after the initial one.

I needed to flatten it, and I don’t have a thicknesser wide enough to run a tabletop through it, so I’ll just quickly construct a jig so I can use my router to flatten it.

The flattening went well, and after some sanding, I decided to start the finishing already. Too soon though. My plan was to keep the rustic look of the pallet blocks, and I tried to add that with some wood burning. I have burned a lot of wood for the simple reasons it protects the wood, and it looks great in many cases.

However, when burning an epoxy table, the epoxy will get soft again if you heat it too much too long. Don’t do that. Another mistake I made here was, I tried to finish the burned and sanded tabletop with just one big layer of furniture lacquer, and it just didn’t look the way I wanted it to. The burning made it look too dark with the lacquer on, and I would really like to be able to see the different kinds of wood the table is made up of.

After a week or so I sanded it down again, and mixed up a cup of epoxy resin, and started filling up the remaining small gaps, cracks, and nail holes. When filling up small gaps it’s really handy to have a syringe, or even just a pencil to dip into the epoxy and let it drip down in the holes and cracks.

An LED light from the side will expose all the small gaps in the surface. And Nail holes are tricky, they go deep down and the epoxy sinks down after a few minutes and you’ll need to refill it.

I sanded it again with 40, 80, 120, 200, and 400 grit sandpaper, and then I treated it with some tabletop oil with a little brown color in it. After it cured I sanded it again and repeated the tabletop oil. I sanded again and gave it 5 coats of Danish oil with light sanding in between each coat.

If you were wondering what to do when all the pools are sold out and the weather is still getting warmer, you could beat the heat with this simple, cheap pallet pool, big enough for you, the family, and the rest of the crew.

The size will be based on the pallets you salvage. For our family’s build, it was roughly 10 feet wide by 24 feet long.

Materials

Most of the materials were sourced from my garage that’s been storing job site leftovers.

• Clean sand about half a yard around $10 at your local landscape supply yard
• Optional: Waterproof Anti-microbial interior auto carpet foam
• Heavy-duty Tarp
• House Wrap like Tyvek or block it any brand will work
• Ice and Water roofing membrane
• Synthetic roof underpayment
• Nails 1 n 1/2
• Screws #9 x 3 -7lbs box I recommend t25 star for head style as they are less prone to cam out (stripping), and if they do, an S2 square bit can save you from getting the grinder out
• 1/2 steel angle legs to mount the base of walls to mother earth
• Five pieces of 3/8 x 10ft # 3 Rebar usually five or $6 at a big box store
• Heavy-duty Ratchet strap 2-inch or thicker
• Cleats or runners you can get from extra pallets this number will vary depending on the size of your pallet pool.

It helps to be picky about the pallets you choose for the cleats, as they will be used as the primary method of assembly, so be sure to inspect the inside. I use a custom pallet bar that I welded from scrap metal and a chainsaw bar cut in half. Avoid driving the nails or cutting them, it makes cutting them further painful and dangerous as well.

If you have trouble removing the nails from the cleats after removing the boards, don’t be discouraged: some are easier than others. A few simple tips for unclamping cleats, use a table-mounted vise to clamp a flat bar or similar claw/blade. Use it as if it were your hammer. You’ll save your back by using the entire cleat as a point of force on the nail instead of the short length of your hammer. Kick the nails before you pry them out, this can help break the mechanical bond formed by the adhesive they receive at the factory.

Tools

For a minimalist approach, if you don’t have a tool trailer lying around, just these essential hand tools and a few power tools can get the pool built.

Putting it all together

Mark Four corners of the perimeter where the walls will sit, double-check the pallets you sourced with this physical layout then start by clearing out the ground within the four corners; remove the grass and any rocks, leveling out any noticeably high spots.

Now you can prep your walls. Nail ice and water to one side of the pallets followed by the synthetic underlayment; this was my solution to ensuring the tarp didn’t bulge through the gaps in the plank walls when filled also prevents the pallet from sitting damp and dark. Connect the walls first at the base with the angled legs, half of a leg in one wall, the other half in your next fence, then drive rebar through the legs into the ground. Add a joining cleat at the middle section of each pallet in the same manner as the steel angle legs.

Next, start to fill the interior with sand and foam; just sand will work as well if you don’t have auto foam eating up real estate in your garage. Now line the inside with the house wrap; this acts as a vapor barrier sealing and separating the underpayment material from the liner.

Next, add the tarp start at one side work your way down; be sure to leave enough material to expand into the bottom corner of walls taking the leftover at the top, roll the excess liner in the top joining cleat. This prevents the liner from pulling into the pool from the weight. Use the strap to run around the entire outside of pool walls, about halfway up, and if you want a little deck around it, pallets cut in half are just the ticket.

Now you can fill your pool up and start researching filter options, ECT. Be sure to check with local code and ordinances for your area’s exact specifications for pools.

Dismantling the pallet

Using two hammers, I am dismantling the pallet. The goal is to reuse all the nails used in building this pallet to use them again in making my Jack O’Lanterns. You can check several methods to dismantle pallets in this article.

Sanding the pallet

Let start the project by sanding the pallet boards to give them a nice and smooth texture.

Cutting the pallets planks

Then using either a chop-saw or a hand-saw, cut all the pallet planks needed for this project. Of course, it depends on you how tall you want your Jack O’Lanterns to be, so I am not providing any measurements here.

Assembling the Lanterns

Once all the sides are ready, it’s time to join them all together. Using wood glue, join all the sides. My clamps are way too small, so I am using a paver to apply the pressure.

Painting

I applied orange color to the lantern’s body and black paint to the stems of the lantern. It’s up to you for the colors :)

Now, it’s time to paint the scary faces on the lanterns, use your imagination and make them as frightening as you can.

Boom, So this is how the final setup looks like. 

The bench is made of two euro pallets (EPAL). Everything was disassembled by hand and then processed with a sander and wood sandpaper. The bench is 100 cm long, 55 cm wide, and 80 cm high. It is painted with oak-colored varnish three times. The production time was three days.

Once I was able to break down the pallet, I used a table saw to cut uniform pieces, routed the larger ones, then sanded them all. A little stain/ paint, a little distressing, burning with a blow torch, then putting it all together was the basic process. I finished with a coat of poly.

It was all screwed together with Reisser cut screws and won’t use anything else now except for when attaching metal items like hinges etc., as Reissers have a countersinking feature – they are brilliant! And as such can be driven just below the surface, so no bits for children to get caught upon. No nails or staples were used, only hooks to hang kitchen tools on.

The worktop was sanded and painted with Ronseal Diamond beech color, and two holes were cut out by jigsaw for the two stainless dog bowls. The ‘hobs’ were cut from some ply off-cuts with a band saw – ah, the only bits that weren’t pallet. A magnetic catch was used to keep the door shut. The control knobs are from door stops with locknuts on the back so they can be turned.

The rest of the wood was orbital sanded and painted with Wilco outdoor paint.

Decide the high of your toilet seat. For mine, the front leg is 40 cm and the back leg 1.2 m (front and back 4cm x 4cm). I cut 4cm x 1cm strips to cover the sides, and the door attached them with a nail gun and glue.

To make the bucket slide under the seat, I attached 2 u-channels of aluminum. The rim of the bucket will fit in the u-channel. Took a scrap piece of plywood 22mm for the seat: an old door knop and 2 small hinges.

Sand the whole project with 40 grid sandpaper to 100 grid. Protect the wood with a stone sealer with two coats.

Budget 115$ taxes included (I still have to buy the stain).

If you have a small bedroom, then you can use pallets to make yourself a smaller bed. And your small bedroom becomes a design in one go. Or maybe you need a bed for your child? To make a bed, you would need more wooden pallets. Stack your pallets, give them a few licks of paint, add some nice cushions, and you’d have a unique, low-cost bed to put outside or inside. The wooden pallet can also be used as a platform. Please take a few shelves, put them on top of each other, and have a bed and storage space platform. All you have to do is choose a comfortable mattress and nice sheets.

Pallets can also serve as a headboard if you put them on the walls behind. All it takes is a little creativity. If you like minimalism and you want a cheap bed, go for pallets. An all-white bed or a one with inscription like below is always design. Pallets are simple and can be minimalist.

Looking for a place to be quiet with yourself while reading a book? Then how about a reading nook made of pallets? You’ll need a few good tools, but the result will be worth it.

With creativity and wooden pallets, you can turn your workplace into an eco-friendly and cool place at the same time. Stairs, desks, everything can be made out of wooden pallets. The design in the picture below is modern and made entirely of recycled pallets.

Chic and stylish – that’s how you can define a desk hung in pallets. We’re not sure if it’s excellent, but it looks great. For some of the furniture you can make yourself; you would need special materials. Like for example, the sofa in the picture below: it’s a plastic pallet cut into halves with stainless steel plates and legs for stability. The added blue cushion add style.

A wooden pallet sofa would be very comfortable for the garden, but it will also be super modern. It won’t be tough to make, but don’t forget that it will need to be well sanded. A homemade sofa can cost you as little as $5.

So, I decided to make a holder for it that hopefully will make it look more decorative. After playing around with different designs, I decided to go with an open front, slightly elevated and patinated, wooden look.

I used pallet wood for the box holder, and I treated it with the traditional Japanese method of preserving wood – Shou Sugi Ban or Yakisugi 焼き杉. You burn the wood and brush it off before adding a finisher. It gives it a distinct dark, patinated and rustic look instantly.

Step 1: Disassemble a pallet and make sure there are no nails left in the boards. If you want to see how I break apart pallets, here are some videos for you:

Step 2: Plane the boards. Pallet wood often comes in different thicknesses, even from the same pallet. If you do not have a planer or a jointer plane, you can use the wood as it is. The result will look more rustic.

Step 3: Cut the pieces as shown in the video to match the measurements of your boxed wine. Also, cut some thin strips that will be used as braces on the sides and the bottom.

Step 4: Build the sides with the strips. Attach the top, bottom, and back to one of the sides. I glue all the wood together and use short brad nails to hold it together while the glue dries.

Step 5: Sand the pieces lightly.

Step 6: Burn all the sides inside and outside with a blowtorch. Give it a deep burn, so the wood turns black and charred.

Step 7: Sand the burned wood or brush it with a steel brush. Sand or brush until you reach your desired look.

Step 8: Apply stain/sealer. For indoor use, I prefer a water-based polyurethane stain. For outdoor use, I treat it with linseed oil or tung oil. You can also use wax t seal it. I have a video on making your very own beeswax waterproofing wood finish right here:

I spent a few evenings taking detours down side streets searching for abandoned pallets, with my husband saying, “why would anyone want pallets from the side of the road, surely no one who is sane”… he clearly never heard of this website. He’s definitely been converted, don’t worry.

I finally found a selection of whole pallets right by my uncle’s house! Perfect, he even knew the pallets owner and said they were definitely up for grabs, and they’d be pleased if I removed them.

I started with 4 pallets; they’d been outside for months and months apparently, so they were a bit rotten in places. I bought a crowbar and got to work on splitting them. (Had a zoom lesson from my Dad on how to split a pallet!)

I had no plans—just my creative little brain whirring away with the ultimate goal of building a pallet playhouse. I pretty much only paid for the crowbar, the wood screws and nails, and the roof, which I used a tarpaulin-covered with a Reed screen.

After the initial structure was built, my husband told me he wanted the roof to have a hinge so we could grab the kids out quickly if needed as the door was so small (child-sized). More creative brain obsessive behavior… I did it—a hinged roof.

The kids love it; I added some curtains and a mud kitchen that was built out of a wooden shelving unit from Wickes. It’s a perfect place for them to play and the tarpaulin feature of the roof actually means they’re quite happy even in the worst weather—a quiet cup of tea time for Mummy. Everyone wins. And hubby got his hinged roof. And no longer thinks I’m a crazy person.

What you need for this shelf:

• 20 1*4 @40″
• 4 2*4 @68″
• pocket hole jig and screws
• paint
• Minwax Polycrylic

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Cut the slat with a miter saw. There are 5 shelves, each made of 4 slats(2 37″,2 40″)
2. Drill pocket holes on each slat in order to put them together
3. Joint the slats together to get 5 boards. Using glue and pocket screws. Sand and fill the gap with wood plugs and wood filler
4. Cut 4 2*4 @68″, sand them
5. Paint twice and seal them with Minwax Polycrylic (4-5 coats); this finish will give the board a sheen on the surface and protect the wood from a water spill.
6. Assemble

The Head and Tail boards are constructed by screwing pieces where possible from the rear together, then the nut, bolts, and washers used to give structural rigidity and visual attraction. Three runners connect the head and tail boards; the central piece is three layers screwed together, and the outer two are made from two and a half layers screwed together. These runners are connected by quick-release connections allowing for easy moving if required.

Mattress support slats complete the framing and sit inside the runners evenly spaced; no need for fixing into place. The finish is a thinned layer of matt acrylic polyurethane to create some color and semi sealing, then a couple of layers of natural beeswax polish applied with a shoe polishing brush

Tools needed: a hammer, an electric saw, a drill, drill bits, a sander, and a screwdriver.
Materials needed: 2 pallets, screws, and wood glue.

According to the pallets’ state, 2 are necessary to manufacture the chair, the cubic wooden blocks (part of the structure) are also used in this model. Once the pallets are disassembled, only straight cuts and sanding are enough to complete the necessary pieces and continue using screws and glue for the fixings.

Small steps, you can always cut more, cut too much, and it could throw everything off, then you’ll find yourself slowly widdling away trying to compensate until your shelf isn’t a shelf no more. I used other scraps from the first cut and screwed them to studs to flush my shelf with my window seal. I stained it, found a lamp, and got my record player away from my 4-year-old son. A great classic, for this realization, I needed the boards, so I had to dismantle the pallets, it takes time, but it’s the obligatory route.

The floor

If you have collected pallets already at the right size, you can use them as a base for the floor and attach planks to fill in the gaps.

The walls

On the floor, we need to fix uprights of the desired height, on which the planks of the walls will, in turn, be fixed; remember to leave space for the windows.

For the windows, precisely, I managed to recover some, which I modified so that they are more adapted to the hut.

Don’t forget to do the body grades too; you never know.

The roof

The structure of the roof is also composed of recovered pallet board.

Sheet metal is when it is purchased for a better seal.

Painting

As I told you before, I decided to paint this hut with a red pallet, with exterior wood paint, at least 2 coats are necessary.

The stilts and the staircase

For the 6 pilings (or 4 for a version without the balcony), I used the thickest parts of the pallets, for greater resistance. The staircase is like the rest of the hut, with single planks, but cut at 45°.

Final assembly

Nothing very complicated, the hardest is already done, it is enough to find the good site, with a rather hard ground, to be able to support the weight of the hut, then one places (it is better to be two) the stilts and one fixes the hut there.

So that she could have light, I took the opportunity to install a lamp with a small solar panel.

Build the pool boundary first by getting packed pallets in vertical alignments, chose the smooth area of your garden or outdoor for installation of the swimming pool, and check a little also for that particular outdoor space’s environmental conditions! Here complete but sanded pallet skids build vertical wooden walls that give a square shape pool boundary!

The interior has been covered with plywood sheets, which creates a filled look of interior wall and hence would also help prevent the leakage of pool water! The most sensitive part of a pool is always the bottom corners that create more water leakage; here, thicker wooden bottom corner supports have been installed to avoid water leakage issues!

As water keeps its surface-level equal, so your pools should be all balanced to avoid any inconvenience later; use the leveling tools after installation of a specific pool part or portion! Do make sure that edges have all been fastened tight and are precisely balanced!

To stabilize the corner, which is to handle a lot of water pressure, use the metal plates and put the heavy-duty steel screws in the plat holes straight to the wooden surface to install the metal plates! Get metal plates with bigger holes in them if you want to go for a nut and bolt formulation!

After a water fill, the whole pressure would be on the pool walls, so you should take into account the stability of pool walls first; here, it has been solved by installation additional braces or tilted wooden supports that are actually the robust pallet planks!

L-frames have been installed first that hold well the tilted support in their well supporting angled position, and edges of these wooden supports have been made sharp so they sit conveniently over the L-frame and have been secured there using screws!

The tilted side supports may not look very well in their exposed form and may affect the overall swimming pool’s appearance. Additional wooden units have been made using pallet slats that cover this angled wall supports beautifully!

After adding a complete roof to pool wall braces, you will get a sloped wall as shown that will also give the decorative edging to the entire pallet swimming pool!

There are stair steps installed to one side of the pool by using more pallet skids to reach the diving point! After making the stair steps, fill up the rest of the area along the poolside! This will give you the additional wooden platform, which can be used as a poolside, and you can also place pool chairs there and the loungers!

Add the whole pallet boards for poolside roofing as shown, and just create a filled look; add more pallets if there is a danger of injurious collapsing of that additional pool deck!

The stair steps can stay last there if you just secure them with heavy-duty hardware! So be attentive toward a safe stair-step installation!

Uncut pallet skids would be all amazing to install the stair steps as shown, and all you need is to secure them better with appropriate hardware!

It would dismantle a lot of pallets for nice coverage of those sides of the poolside as there are all the single pallet slats you are to use for this purpose! Keep the pallet chocks or dices to do additional decor projects like you can make amazing candle holders, shelf centerpieces, and Memorial Day’s gifts out of these pallet dices or mini cubes!

To support the pool wall and provide more inner grip to installed pallet boards, the steel wire has been passed through vertical pallet skids and has been made tight till the all walls get tight, an amazing idea to make the walls strongly held together!

Now just make an inspection to check for the mistakes and make sure you have assembled all neatly with hardware; it would be all better to spend some time for a complete overhauling of your pool!

Cover the top of boundary walls by putting the pallet slats flat over them and just spread a waterproof plastic fabric cover over the pool floor!

The poolside deck made of whole pallets also provides space to store some of your good under it, and you can also standing beside to chill up by having those beverage mugs in hands!

Apply the necessary varnish or stain coats to pool walls and all wooden surfaces for extreme outdoor weather protection, and this will extend the life of the pool for sure!

Now the final step, cover the entire pool interior with a pool cloth tarp to get the pool interior all waterproof, and after it, you can go for a water fill to pool!

Cover the entire pool interior with a tarp may be a tough task to do and can even take a lot of time; keep the patience and do it in precise ways! Remove the creases and just stretch the tarp cloth finely to pool wall edges after covering up the whole pool interior finely!

The most precious task of this entire pool installation, securing the tarp cloth ends to pool sidewalls and corners, go with sandwich formulation, sandwich the plastic fabric ends between two wooden layers, one is already there, and install an additional one using the pallet slats again!

Add slats and hold them in place by adding nails to each; after a roundup of all corners, you will finely gain a neat and water proof coverage of the pool interior, and now you can go for a water fill to pool!

Also, set up a pump nearby and use the plastic pipe to let the pumped water reach the pool interior! Suggest a different corner of the pool for the water pipe installation, as shown!

First, make a little test, fill the half or less of the pool with water and check for leakage; if you have any issue, just solve it and then go for a total and complete filling of the pool with water!

The neck was built with store bought-lumber because I didn’t have any pallet boards long enough for the neck blank. The body is laminated using a variety of contrasting pallet boards.

The body features a hardtail bridge, dual humbucker pickups, and a single volume and ton knob. This is a functioning, solid body electric guitar that can shred with the best of them!

I decided to build this guitar to prove that good electronics and solid construction are more important to the sound of an electric guitar than the “Tonewoods” used. I also enjoyed using lumber that would have otherwise been thrown away.

The frame was reclaimed timber from a stable that I had helped pull down and clear. From this, I used some 2″x3″ timber as I discovered when I cleaned up the sides on the saw bench the wood had a lovely pink/red color so I cleaned up several lengths and made two sides. Using a miter saw to trench cut the joints I then glued them. I also used the same timber along the bottom to join the two ends together.

The top of this table is a piece of solid oak worktop but it was the bit cut out for a sink so it was waste material. I made up a jig for my router and cut out a recess in the worktop to inlay some leftover tiles that we had and I routed a bevel edge on the top.

The bottom shelf is made from pallet planks nice and simple.

I decided I wanted a door to hide the gas bottle so I used some pallet type packing crates for the wood. In my usual fashion, I cleaned up the edges and made it all square with the saw bench then glued a load together. trimmed this up on the saw and added two bits onto the sides. this is all held by glue. My wife found the yellow knob in the house somewhere? and I bought two hinges for it.

The next bit was a drawer. made from a couple of bits of the good straight square pallet with bits of the hardwood packing crate as a drawer front. The handle I found in the shed.

Last bit was to add a shelf made from packing crate planks, all glued.

The whole thing has been sealed with Danish Oil.

I also cut some slats for the bottom steps and leaving a few of the 2×4 for the top step where most of the support was needed. I had to purchase a chest continuous hinge for the ladder chair to open freely.

I lightly sanded wood to help achieve that extra rustic image, the chair was stain with several colors of stain special walnut and mahogany with oak highlights also applied a semi-gloss polyurethane.
