I was poking around on ApSense today and found a link to this blog. I am sure there are some old links that no longer work, but I was impressed with how many of them still do. I am going to spend a little time cleaning up the ones that are no longer valid so I can keep using this.

The only thing better than free advertising is free advertising that pays you, so I will be working on that more often than here.

My Own Internet Home

I appreciate all that Blogger has done (and is still doing) for me, by allowing me to have passive websites all over the Internet for free. The only problem is, it's still not mine.

Just like in my every day life, I didn't want to depend on someone else to map out my future living space, so I worked and saved until I had a home of my own, that I can control and adapt to my living style.

The same thing is true for my Internet lifestyle, so I determined what my simple needs were and started looking. I knew I needed hosting space (but not too elaborate) and a way to connect with like-minded people with an autoresponder that worked in my sleep. That way, I could create the web pages I needed with my own ideas, not something I couldn't control.

The real beauty is, I earn 100% commission for sharing this idea with others, so it more than pays for itself. Depending on how I feel at the time, I can promote it for profit, or just use it myself and not worry about the expense. I still have fun creating new ideas, no matter which goal I put my effort behind.

Bells Are Ringing

I read a post today that really rang my bell, it simply said, "Never Give Up". It made me stop and think how TRUE that is, because you never know when an idea will hit you that changes your LIFE!

I know that sounds like hype, but it truly is the way it happens. I started a blog a little over a month ago and in the process of working on it, I just created a product of my own. It's only a $1 product, but if you see it, you may get an idea for your own.

Settle Down Easy

I'm still around and happier than ever. I have my ventures narrowed down to what works best for me (and could for you too), so about all I do now days is click for credits to sell for Tokens on Traffic Swirl and help my referrals that are responsible for my income make more money for themselves.

What I learned is, the more I help them, the longer they sick around and keep paying me. Not only that, but since my primary project is using tools we all need to produce pages to collect lists of people who need help.

I am still plugging along making extra cash to enjoy my retirement and I just found a couple of new ways to make it even better.

If you search Google for my oldbuddy user name, it's #1 on the results and brings me even more great people who are really serious about this, so that's a good thing.

On the web page that points to, there is a banner on the right column that points to Big Crumbs and the referrals I have there have helped me earn over $5,000 by going through their website to buy from over 1,000 top retailers, not to mention have given me shares in their company as a bonus.

I recently learned that they shut down Big Crumbs, but transferred my account to a brand new website that looks even better and I can keep on getting paid for buying what I would anyway. I like that.

A lot of newer Internet Money Makers spend way too much time just wandering around with no real sense of direction, so they delay getting to the point where the income they earn is enough to keep them excited about their success.

Don't plaster it with advertising and drive people away, but have at least one link somewhere that can further your agenda without pushing it. For instance, show them a way to find the help they seek, while it helps both of you.

OK, so I am not a real blogger or I would post more often!

I was doing a search for my name today and noticed it was one of the few results that are pushing the Ripoff Report some jerk did on me lower on the list. It is so obvious it's a troll that posted it that I shouldn't worry, but it still bothers me. Yes I tried finding ways to get it removed, but it's not worth $2,000 to me. I'm just going to work on pushing it off the first page.

Anyhow, things are still going well and I am still online every day. My latest craze is joining the let's build a list and make some money crowd and I have to admit, it's a lot of fun. I even created a few of my own Digital Information products and actually sold a few.

I will try to get back here more often, now that I have a good reason to do it.

Build Your Own Splash Pages

I have gone back to surfing in the traffic exchanges lately and it blows me away how many people are using services (and some even PAYING for them), just to create cute little splash pages for their visitors. The truth is, you can do a pretty nice job with free tools you can download online and the information they contain is the SAME.

I use various free tools for the top, Arachnophilia 4.0 to do the copy and w3schools as a reference for any HTML commands I need. You can learn to do this by watching free tutorials on YouTube and save your money by providing your own service.

The big advantage of a splash page is you can educate your visitors a little and increase your chances of them taking action. If they type something wrong, I give them a list of splash pages to choose from. For an examples, look at http://oldbuddy.angryhosting.com/errortrap.html

I host dozens of these small pages on my own hosting for $1 a month.

I have been tempted to abandon this blog many times, but it's worth keeping around just for the times you want to comment on another blogspot or add yourself as a follower. So here I am again, cleaning out all the obsolete posts and making a few new ones to test my new service to get top listings in Google.

The basic idea is when I am surfing the net and come across a blogspot (Blogger blog owned by Google) I can make an intelligent comment to attract people back to my own blog. It's much simpler if my blog is a blogspot too, then I can have links to my other blogs if they get interested. Make sense?

I have heard from a few others that have seen this show up and decided to share my experience too. I was infected a few weeks ago and had to resort to reformatting my system and installing everything over again, a painful process as some of you know all too well.

It shows up as a warning message that you have Malware discovered on your computer and they need to do a scan, which of course scares the bejabbers out of you when they come up with loads of garbage showing your machine is completely taken over and the only way out is to send them money. DON'T DO IT!!

The truth is they will just continue to milk you and not fix a thing. You can try to learn about it HERE, but I ended up reformatting.

After I got that Windows computer all cleaned up, I started using Ubuntu Linux (most recently Linux Mint) and have not had a problem since. Oh I still see the warning and scan screens, but since I am not on Windows they can't get in.

You can get a CD to run it without changing anything else, install it as a dual boot with Windows, or just put it on another computer like I did. It's real handy to have a second system at times anyway. Now anytime I do surfing duties online, I use the Linux computer to be safe. Don't fool yourself into thinking you can protect yourself with software, the bad guys are getting too aggressive for that.

I have played around with Linux for years, but this one is so simple anyone can use it.

One of the best ways to increase your EntreCard credits is by getting referrals. An easy place to accomplish that is on the free Link Referral Directory, where you can easily find other bloggers that might be interested in more traffic. Just make sure your drop widget is in a prime location on your blog (upper left corner is best) to stimulate curiosity and let it do the job for you. In the meantime, you are expanding your contacts and leaving more comments. I still think interaction is the key to making money online and this is one of the best deals around to maximize your time invested in doing it.

Content DETHRONED as King!

If you have studied online blogging strategies for any length of time, you have no doubt been told over and over that Content is King, right? I am far from an expert at this point, but common sense tells me this is simply not true. No matter how good your content is, before it can have any effect on your visitors they will need to READ it!

So my reasoning tells me that HEADLINES are the real King. No matter how your visitor arrived at your blog or website, it's an automatic reaction to make a snap decision to determine if they are in the right place to satisfy the reason for visiting in the first place and the headlines will probably be the first thing they see. If they are good enough, THEN and only then, will the content have a chance to make a lasting impression.

Add to that the fact that the headline on an RSS feed somewhere could very well be the reason he made the visit. If you are not including your feed on as many other websites as possible . . . well that's another topic.

Effective Blog Posts

Blogging is a great way to produce a little extra income with little effort, but it's all about traffic. No matter what you use to monetize your blog, without interested readers it will just sit there soaking up bandwidth with no results. So would you come back on a regular basis to read yours?

Take a serious look at the blogs you visit every day and notice how many of them never change from day to day. Who is going to read the same post over and over? Then when you do find one that might look interesting, once you get into it you often discover it's just the same old rhetoric regurgitated up one more time and no more palatable than it was the first time.

If you're going to blog at all, do a little research and contribute to the value of the blogosphere, then you will find people coming back for more, or at least taking note when they come across a new headline every few visits.

What Really Works?

The Internet is filled with outrageous claims, but I am sure most people online often find themselves asking What Really Works? I know I sure do!

I bet if you get close enough to any of the millions of bloggers you find online today, you would discover that they at least had a passing thought of making some extra money from their efforts, but very few of them accomplish that goal. They try advertising with AdSense and promote Affiliate Products with reviews, but the bottom line remains empty, or nearly so.

If you are anything like me, there is not much chance of becoming the next big Internet Millionaire any time soon, but a few hundred extra dollars to make life more enjoyable is very easy to attain. I finally quit swinging for home runs all the time and learned that bunts add up to the runs you need to win the game much easier.

Take this blog for instance, if I end up making even one or two new friends a month I am a happy camper. I have fun doing this anyway, so anything extra is just icing on the cake. In the meantime, I get better known and my income keeps going up.

So just be patient and keep learning all you can. You will discover what really works for you too.

How To Post On Blogger

I noticed a question in a Forum I just joined about how to cut and paste a post into Blogger, so since I love making tutorial videos I jumped on it. Basically you just enter your dashboard and click on new post, then copy the text from Notepad or wherever you have it, then paste it into the box. I will follow this with a quick video when it's finished.

USA Only Ads

So far I have had good luck with Clixsense and Neobux, but tried several other paid to read email programs with poor results if any. Does Advertising Pay?

Most people I talk to about paying for advertising PTC (Paid To Click) websites think it's crazy and for the short view it's probably true. Getting paid a penny a click even for 100 referrals, if it costs you a dollar or two each to get them can meet with a sinking feeling in your stomach if they quit soon, like many will.

But running ads for Fusioncash is another story. I ran a 500 click ad today for a penny a click. Not only did it result in 8 new referrals, but 4 of them earned me a $1 bonus with the potential of even more in the near future.

So do the math. A 500 click ad costs $6 (I earned mine free) and I earned $4 back TODAY. If ONE of those completes an offer on the website (which earns me another $2 bonus), I break even and I would say the odds are in my favor. If even one goes on to cashout in a few months, I made $8 from them with another $5 every time they do it again.

Guess what, I bought another paid ad today for the same page on another network. The key is, I target USA members only, so they are qualified prospects.
