Summer is almost here and weather is no more cool enough for driving car in day without AC. It was getting impossible to sit inside car and it was time to get the AC service done. After lots of delays, I managed to find time for my red beauty and took her to service station. Since last summer, the AC was not effectively cooling and this summer it was not cooling at all. Got the AC service done and now it’s chilling! Within few minutes of drive, it cools the cabin and it feels like winter season inside the car. Service guy found a minor leak in valve and therefore gas was slowly leaking out. This was the reason of low cooling last summer. Valve was changed and fresh gas was filled in front of me. I like to watch the whole process and know how things are done.

Me and my friend Faraz were on the way to book store and felt thirsty. In front of book store we saw a lemonade (shikanji) seller who was listening to music on his mobile as there were no customers. I asked him for two glasses of lemonade and his hands quickly came in action. Sliced four lemons added two in both glasses and then added some spices. He then added chilled water with crushed ice. This was my first time I had roadside lemonade and trust me it was so good that we had one more glass each. Our BCA classes are going on these days but they are so boring that even teacher doesn’t want to come to class. There are only few students who come regularly to attend these classes and rest come for lab only. You can see that I can get enough time to click photograph when out teacher is busy talking on phone (outside class). When the classes started; teachers were punctual but soon they learnt that students are not interested and most of them arrive about half and hour late. Now even teachers don’t arrive on time.

Yesterday I received call from Ali bhai that one coaching institute need web designer and developer and I thought since they will be educated people so why not give it a try. I went there and they explained me what they need in their website. It was a good experience and they agreed on my quote as well. I’ll be only buying domain and hosting for them right now and showing them one design layout (just a jpg image) which will give them a rough idea about how their website will look. Once this gets approved, I’ll ask for 50% amount and proceed with actual website development.

He referred me to another mechanic as he was not having anyone to help him that day as he fired everyone who worked there LOL! So I went to this new mechanic who told me that one part of silencer which is near exhaust manifold is damaged and need to be replaced. I went to the spare part dealer, and bought that part of silencer and went to mechanic. He started the replacement work. One hour passed, and then two and I felt there is something wrong. When I asked him, he told me that silencer is not fitting. I took the silencer and went to spare part dealer again and told him that it’s not fitting, you gave me wrong stuff. When he compared the old silencer with this new one, he found that there was a difference of model and therefore it was not fitting. Dealer told the mechanic to use welding torch and adjust it accordingly and it will take just 10 minutes. Don’t know why mechanic also agreed to this and he went to his garage and started modding the silencer. He convinced me that it will fit in no time now. I was getting late for my class and told him to finish the job in one hour any how. In this work he tool more than two ours and not only I missed my class but he also damaged one exhaust manifold strut leading to loose fitting and car is now making even more louder noise. I was already mad at this point and told him to leave the work now and I am not going to let you touch anything else in my car as he was suggesting opening exhaust manifold now to fix the strut.

My old sony xplode car stereo went kaput few days back and I was left with no music in my car. I cannot drive without playing my favorite music as most of the time I travel alone and I get bored. As an electronic hobbyist I tried to fix the stereo myself but found that there was some major issue in the amplifier section of it. The repair job was going to be costly so I just dumped it and went to buy a new one. I went to check out the new kenwood models but they were priced quite high and sound quality was not as good as I thought. Looking around in the market for sometime I found something really what I wanted. I got the car stereo with no CD player but only USB and SD card reader. Now this is really cool because no one want to keep a bundle of mp3 CD’s in car and never able to play the right song at right time. With SD or pen drive, I can just put my favorite songs (my fav. Songs keep changing frequently) and I am ready to rock n roll. As you can see in the picture that I am just using a SD card and it hold enough songs for hours long of journey. With CD the problem was that I have to burn new songs which I like in one CD or keep changing the CD, both options are a nuisance. With some bargaining in price, I bought it and installed it myself the same day. Sound quality is good and FM is also clear.

Finally after a long wait of over a month, I received my shoes day before yesterday which I ordered from dicksporting goods website. I was sitting in my room making website and I heard the voice of my mom calling me to see someone at door. I thought some friends might have come but when I went I found the postman carrying a big cardboard box. Immediately there was a big grin on my face on which postman also started smiling. After taking some photos and wearing them, I went in my room to write a blog entry but light went off. Today I got some time to write about them as these days I am very busy with both online and offline works. I have never been so sad and felt broken in my life before. Nothing personal happened to me except a minor accident few days back. However accident is not the cause as I am used to these types of accidents now and hope this time I get a lesson and drive safe now. A day before accident I came to know about something that I could never think of even in dreams. One of my friends (lets call this friend xyz for now), who I knew since school days, always saw smiling, happy and jolly is in pain. Nothing more Iâ€™ll write about it now because I know that xyz will not like it, so no more discussion on it. I would just pray that may Allah bless xyz with lots of happiness and good health.

Today I sold my 5 year old PC for making some room on my computer desk. I was using both the old and new PC on my desk. Old one was kept for learning UNIX and new was for running on Windows for every day work. Exams over with practical exam of UNIX gone very well, there was no use of this old HCL Pentium 4 computer. Friend of my friend (not my friend) Junaid was looking for old computer and Junaid fixed the deal. After a lot of bargain the deal settled at Rs.8500. When I bought this computer, it cost me around 50,000 rupees so the selling price according to me was a bit on lower side but hardware priced drop so fast that I considered selling at that low price anyhow. This computer was a record holder on reliability, since its 5 years of service I never needed to touch that restart button!! Hope it continue to work good whoever uses it.

Few months back I won a contest of some sports video site and I came third in it. Prize was gift coupon worth $100 of a sports online store. I was surprised to know that I actually won something and even got it in my hands. At first I thought Iâ€™ll not be getting anything and never bothered to contact contest organizers again. But they were very honest people to deliver my coupons. However when I made my purchase I found that there were $6 less in second card (I got two cards with $50 each) so second card value was only 94$ thought both cards were marked $50 each! No regret anyway as I am getting this as a free money and $6 is not a big amount to gripe about. As always I did nothing special to celebrate New Year and I was sleeping tight while it must have clocked 12 midnight. My sleep was disturbed by few naughty friends who were continuously sending New Year wishes on my mobile. At last I just got up, kept it in silent mode and went back to sleep again. All exams are over now and particles are left. I have done some new things this year, first great effort was joining gym and stopped working late night on computer. My online friends who kept me entertained whole night are really shocked (and sad) due to this. Other New Year resolution is driving safe, I used to drive harsh but now onwards Iâ€™ll drive with brain (not heart) and thus save some fuel too! More to write on this topic but I am short with time as Mom calling for dinner now.

While I read books, I get many ideas in mind. I feel the urge to do them right away and sometimes I try to do them even when I have a paper tomorrow. There are mostly silly things like for example I thought of painting the car central locking remote which is also a keychain to match with the color of my car. I thought it will look cool and immediately got the keys, ripped the remote and painted the shell of it. The result was disgusting and the remote is looking ugly now. Also I wasted lots of time which I could have utilized in studying. Now what I am doing is writing all these thoughts as â€œto doâ€ task in my PDA and will see them after my exams. Like always I know that the list looks quite good right now but after exams when Iâ€™ll look at it, Iâ€™ll hardly do one or two of the tasks.

Exam time comes and I start feeling exam sickness. It starts with ultra laziness whole day, I am not able to do any work on time, and feel sleepy. I start feeling sleepy from 10 PM while in other days I sleep around 2 AM. Exams are starting from 5th December and will continue till 23rd December, in between there will be ample of gaps but the first paper is of mathâ€™s and I just hate mathâ€™s. I find this subject of no use to me, I donâ€™t learn anything and donâ€™t find it useful in my life, I am not saying that mathâ€™s is useless but I have never done any calculus thingy to get answer of any real life problem! I feel that students should be only taught mathâ€™s only to that level which can come handy in daily life problems and higher level of mathâ€™s should be left to PhD students who want to become scientist.

I was thinking this year that something magical has happened to me or some kind of super power came into me that I am not feeling cold at all. I was happy but one day it started raining at night and since then it become quite cold. Nights are chilling and I just feel very lazy now to get up in morning. There are some good things related to winter like computer remain under normal temp. even after running whole day without any AC. This means a lot of saving of electricity. However car and bike just refuse to start in morning in winters, well they do start after use of choke but until they warm up, ride is not smooth. This means some wastage of fuel.

Till now I was using the PATA DVD writer (ASUS brand) in my new system even it supported SATA II just because the older one was working fine. Now I wanted to use my old system as well for some work so I have to fit that DVD writer back to my old system. Now my new system was without any optical drive. As usual, I went to my favorite Ali Bhai computer shop and bought a new DVD writer. This time, it was of Samsung brand and SATA. Being a geek I immediately found that drive was made by Toshiba for Samsung. Earlier Samsung used to make optical drives themselves and they were quite good, except for some tray problem in few models, they were rugged, superfast and long lasting. Anyways I was in a hurry so didnâ€™t bothered to look more shops for better stuff and bought what I got at Ali Bhai shop. Now I am using it and I must say itâ€™s not at all better in terms of speed or access time or anything when compared to my older ASUS DVD writer. The older one was very silent in reading disc and this new one makes a lot of sound, although itâ€™s a SATA device, I canâ€™t feel any improvement in speed.

How sad! I can remember those days little bit when I was of just 4 years old, getting bored in nursery class, playing with kids, getting hurt, not everything I remember but little bit. Since then 20 years have passed and I feel like I have been in this world for such a long time that its time for me to go now, I am fed up. These 24 years have not been good to me, although I cannot say that I never had any good time but good was always much less than bad things happened in my life. Till the age of 15, school made my life hell. Everyday waking up early in morning, getting ready, stuffing bad with tons of books and rechecking book and notebooks twice because if we forgot a single book or copy then that day would be worst and depending on teacher mood (which was always bad), punishment would be given. So thins was the first mental torture of the day. Then going school was again a pain, badly stuffed rickshaw, bad roads and getting late every time because of other students in rickshaw. In school, sitting for 6 hours on a hard wooden chair was again a torture. We were not allowed to stand and move around class or talk to anyone. Again severe punishment to anyone who broke this rule. Teachers were bad, fellow students were neither well behaved (leaving few) and all in all, life was crap in schooldays. Leaving school and coming to college, think books, tons of course and stuff to study that made my life hell. Health problems came in at this stage due to crappy life I had and it made my life worst. Struggling with those problems for some years, I had some bad experience, two people who I can never forget and forgive, they gave me a lot of pain in life mentally, I would not name them. Now at this stage, I may be fit (donâ€™t know actually) and find reasons to be happy, if life goes like this… I wish to die before I turn 25.

Today after a long time I was out for some important work outside on GT road. I was busy since many days and not going anywhere because of assignment work, now assignments is all done and will submit it tomorrow. One problem occurred that due to bad roads, one tyre of my friendâ€™s car got punctured and we have to waste lot of time at shop getting it fixed. Because we didnâ€™t notice the flat tyre and I think he drove about 2 â€“ 3 km until he could notice it and it gave some nasty cuts in tube. Since the tube was new, my friend decided not to change it but get the same fixed with all sorts of â€˜jugarâ€™ which took some time.

I bought new headlight bulbs for my car today. I had to use my car more at night these days as it gets dark now when returning from computer lab. I found that the standard bulbs were not giving good illumination on road and it was getting difficult to drive fast. So when to market and bought these 130/100w Philips Rally Halogen headlamps. At first I thought these bulbs will draw lot more current and cause problem but they taking almost same current as older ones which were lower wattage. These Rally bulbs are not legal for roads but when they are openly sold in auto market, how can people avoid buying them. There are some other lower wattage bulbs also available with same light but those are insanely prized and not everyone will buy them. I myself found only one piece of that bulb and its packet looked quite old which means it has been with dealer since long and no one is buying them.

Day before yesterday I got my car self starter serviced as it was making some noise. It was due to gears sticking even after engine started, normally what happens that when engine has started, the starter motor gear moves away. Servicing solved that problem but yesterday even deadlier problem occurred. The self motor continued to fire even if I take out the keys!! You can see that in video I made with my mobile. This is deadly thing because f self motor is kept running for long, it will blow up and cause fire. I took the car immediately to guy who did the service of self motor and he found that the problem was in starter solenoid. The spring was not giving enough push so that it can come back to its initial position. Changing the spring solved the problem.

I usually go to tuition on bike and not car because the roads are not good for car there. It was a normal day today, I got up in morning, and after a quick look at my inbox I went to tuition but when I went there, I found that bike was appearing a bit lower in height. When I looked down, I saw that rear tyre was punctured. There were two iron nails struck inside tyre badly. Now the bad thing was that repair shop was 2 km away. After walking with my bike finally reached the shop and my bad luck, I didnâ€™t have change. So what I told him to just fill up air so that I can reach home and I really had to drive at insane speed so that I could reach at home before all the air comes out. Well some air is till there while I am writing the post. Will fill up air again with my car pump and get the puncture fixed today.

I just now returned from BSNL office and there I could not resist myself to see the server room. I just love the smell and sound of machines running. Server rooms is on the fourth floor and guess what, there is no lift and to add to this, there were four stairs for every floor since ceiling height is too much in BSNL office. From the second floor only one can start feeling coldness in air, itâ€™s because of ACâ€™s running without doors closed. The uneducated people donâ€™t know that doors should not be kept wide open when AC is on. But who cares when telecom dept. is paying the high electricity bills.

Yesterday my car was behaving abnormally, its engine was knocking at lower gears. I checked myself and found that RPM was set very low and some tuning fixed the problem. When I came home, I had to scan a document and I got the scanner replaced today only (previous one went kaput), it was brand new. I opened the seal, connected it and started scanning. What I found that scanning was fine but there was a blue patch in every scanned image. Now this is really frustrating, it took 10 days to get the faulty one replaced and now this is again not working well. I didnâ€™t know canon scanners can be of such bad quality. My friendâ€™s car AC was not cooling, so we went to AC service shop, that guy checked it for half an hour and at last told that there was no compression which means compressor is faulty. Now this gave my friend a big tension. We came back home and found that my home landline was out of order. Having done complain, I found that there was no problem in line, but the telephone set itself has gone kaput. I had one old set so connected it for time being till the faulty one gets replaced by BSNL. Now having done all this, I went to my room, switched on the computer and yes, as this was my bad day I knew how my computer can stay away from troubling me. I heard UPS beep even though there was no power failure. This time the CVT used before UPS was giving trouble. I had some urgent work on computer so I just removed the CVT and connected UPS directly to wall socket. Now today Iâ€™ll start with that scanner and give it back to my computer dealer, then go to the BSNL office and get the set replaced, come home and spend some hours trying to fix CVT myself and then making it completely irreparable and finally throwing it.

It has been a while I have cooked something myself and I thought itâ€™s a good time because I have collected lots of good recipes from internet now and its time to try them one by one. Let me tell you friends that I am not a good cook at all and try to substitute thing in recopied when I cannot find real ingredients and cook off from whatever available at home and domestic market. Our practical results are out and I was very much worried because I came to know that only few students have cleared this time. As I went to see, few students congratulated me that I have cleared both and I was relaxed. I saw the marks and in one I have got the highest and in other of c programming, I have not the highest but I have cleared with good marks. The reason behind little less marks is that we were given two programs to write, one I was able to write and execute successfully but the other one was giving few errors, I tried a lot and reduced the errors to 2, but those two errors were just not ready to go till end. At last I gave up and told teacher that this is my program and only two errors are there. I also answered all the questions asked in viva-voice so I was able to clear this hard practical. I am so happy today but no time to celebrate due to work load.

On Sunday I was in Shamshad market and a tragedy happened with me. I got faint for the first time in my life and tragedy doesnâ€™t end here, I fell unconsciously on something sharp. I enquired people today and they told me that I fell on a bicycle and when I fell on it, my forehead got hurt. Itâ€™s about 1 inch long and deep cut just above my left eyebrow. So how this everything happened is quite embarrassing, first I got hurt in my finger and I thought itâ€™s a small cut but when I looked at it after some moment, it was a little deeper cut and blood was coming out of it. This made me worried and I started looking for some clean water to wash my finger. I was near my favorite mechanic shop so I went there and asked for water. They said to pour brake oil on it instead as it will stop the bleeding immediately. One of them came with a bottle of break oil and poured few drops. I felt better and bleeding stopped. But still I was feeling not well since I got hurt and donâ€™t know when after walking few steps, it was all dark in front of my eyes and I heard sound of falling something. When my eyes opened, I was sitting on chair and many people surrounded me, some trying to wake me up and one brought water to wash my face which was covered with blood. What happened was that I got fainted and then fell on that bicycle and got hurt. Now if I got fainted after looking at blood, itâ€™s really embarrassing as I should be not that weak hearted at age of 23, otherwise I should get my blood pressure checked asap. When I got home back, I got big lecture from mom that I donâ€™t eat well.. blah blah, and my dad said nothing but he looked worried on why I got fainted. Well for me getting fainted was a first time experience and since then I am feeling little weak, maybe because of shock.

About 5 children of age about 15 years were involved in robbery and one of them was caught by our security guard. As the thief was a child so I thought not to send him to jail and file any report and just ask him where he has kept those iron so that I could get my stuff back but he was not telling truth and none of his family members were coming. So after waiting for hours, I took him to police custody and filed an FIR, however I didnâ€™t wanted to do this and only reason is that Indian police is bad not for criminals, but for normal good people like us. They talk so rude and are foul mouthed. This is really disgusting. The inspector sitting was beginning every sentence with couple of bad words. I must say, due to this reason only many people hesitate to reach police for any help and rather find it good to settle matter without involving police. Whatâ€™s the use of police then? I know they are not going to do any thing in our case and we are not going to get any stolen items back.

Few days back I went to nearby Jamalpur market with my friend and we stopped near a carpenter shop. My friend had some work and while he was talking to the carpenter, I was looking here and there for some good shots. I found a tree with something red colored thing on it wrapped very tightly. I went near to that tree and found fine brightly red colored roots which were coming from the top branches of the tree and they covered almost all the trunk part of the tree. It was looking very good and the color was so bright that I have seen roots like this for the first time in my life.

Many people get shocked to hear that up till now I was still using a CRT monitor. That big bulky thing was fine for me but few days back it started having problem of brightness and unusual tint. I was too lazy (or rather not willing) to get it fixed and continued to work on it. But one day it went kaput and stopped working at all. I took that monitor into my car and was on the way to repair center and it was quite a hot day. I thought why not just go to Ali bhai shop and buy a new LCD monitor (which is near my home) instead of going to service center (which is far away) in this hot sunny afternoon.
