I’ve been very active over Twitter and with my other websites and not blogging here. It’s comic book talk, both audio and video, by comic book geeks. I love this. My co-host Tim and I talk about how we got into comics, some favorite story lines, authors, and artists. We then review Watchmen, no spoilers, and a little bit about what Neil Gaiman is doing with Batman. First I’ve noticed how much more engaging <a title="Mike Buechele Twitter" href="http://twitter.com/1115Media" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/twitter.com');" target="_blank">Twitter</a> is. I’m micro-blogging, or Tweeting, much more than I am blogging. I think I’ve changed from writing long and complex papers, like back in my college days, to understanding the beauty and art of a short, concise 140 character thought. I love how it forces you to strip away the BS and get to the heart of the matter. So I’m much more active on <a title="Mike Buechele Twitter" href="http://twitter.com/1115Media" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/twitter.com');" target="_blank">Twitter</a> and <a title="Mike Buechele FaceBook" href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=1161921397" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/www.facebook.com');" target="_blank">Facebook</a>. I’m starting to figure out <a title="Mike Buechele FriendFeed" href="http://friendfeed.com/mikebuechele" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/friendfeed.com');" target="_blank">FriendFeed </a>too.</p> <p>I’m also reworking a lot here. My goals have changed. Social Media, personal branding, the itch to build a bigger business with others, and the desire to give more to people have all come together for me and I’ve decided to scratch what I’m doing here. I just don’t have the resources to build what it needs to become. I’ve taken Silicon Alley sized ideas and tried to work them in a solo entrepreneurship (I hire freelancers when I need to). A friend of mine described it perfectly; I’m a big game hunter and I’m shooting squirrels in my back yard. It just aint cutting it.</p> <p>So what will happen? I have a new project I’m working on that I’m very happy about. I believe that niche content with multimedia delivery (video, podcasts, text, tweets), and building community is the way to go, and the way my heart (DNA) is telling me to go as well. I’m consolidating a few other sites and projects I’m working on into one place and I’ll be launching that one soon.</p> <p>In the meantime, 1115media will be up with infrequent posts and I’ll get my Friendfeed and Twitter feed up here.
