For the past week or more Google has produced clever variations of its logo to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street. What neither Google nor the media will tell you is that reading scores for the group targeted by Elmo et al have been going down ever since.

Why write about reading scores when socialism, cultural relativism, and Islam threaten to extinguish Western culture? Because none of these ideas can take root in a truly literate population capable of thinking critically.

Obama could not have been elected in 1960, not because of racism, but because too many people had the ability to think critically. Much fewer people now have any idea of how to sort fact from opinion, or how to weigh opinions. Like Maxine Waters said to Sam Donaldson, You gotta speck ma pinyun!

Sam said he did, when he clearly wanted to say, Your opinion is based on racist clap trap nonsense.

But Americans heard him say he respected her opinion and so they thought their opinions, as uninformed as Maxine Waters' opinions, were the wisdom of the ages.

This had led to a windfall for Algore for unscientific, but prettily filmed, notions of global warming. No educated society would have fallen for such foolishness.

Add a perky face to repeat the silliness and general brain deadedness becomes rampant and widespread.

Strange that, on paper, we are the most educated bunch in history. But university education has been devalued. In true irony, in Toronto, garbage collectors need a Bachelor of Arts degree!

Once again a pious and observant Muslim commits murder. Nidal Hassan attended the mosque in Falls Church, VA, which is the same den of iniquity attended by two of the murderers of 9/11.

If men study the doctrine of Satan in the presence of other evil men, are events like 9/11 or the Fort Hood massacre surprising?

We must ask ourselves why we allow a religion devoted to our destruction to develop in our midsts.

I was a doubter before I read the Koran. I could not believe that a religion could preach hatred and murder. But it does. I could not believe believers would be told to lie. But it does. I could not believe a holy man could be a psychotic criminal. But Mohamed is.

Still, when I learned this,there were few Muslims in Canada. Now there are half a million! That's more than the number of Jews. And our clueless politicians allow thousands more Muslims each year to come to collect welfare! We allow them to spout their vile. And Muslims take offence any time truth is told about them!

It is time for churches to offer courses which tells the truth about the doctrine of Satan called Islam. We can't let this get into the schools because the Muslims will want to teach the courses and WE KNOW THEY WILL LIE ABOUT THE KORAN. They are commanded to lie by their moon god.

It has been clear to me for a long time that Obama is not American. He doesn't even know the name of his favourite baseball stadium: Kominski Park?

I don't believe he was born in the USA, but I no longer think he was born in Kenya either. After that ice cold performance about the Fort Hood massacre by a fellow Muslim. I think Obama must be from outer space.

I shivered. It was like watching Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lechter,

Tingles, Madcow, Dobermann, and Her Perkiness didn't seem to notice. Their tolerance for sociopathic behaviours maybe higher than mine, but when George W Bush continued reading The Pet Goat to kids in Florida on 9/11, the press were alarmed by what it determine was an inappropriate response.

To me, it was yet another instance of the meglomania of Obama. You see it in many photographs as he strikes a Mussolini face to the adoring gods pose, and you hear it in his speeches, I want to walk to the Olympics, It's not about me! LIES! I don't want to run the car, bank, healthcare, or (fill in the blank) business, LIES! I don't look like the other guys and I have a funny name! VOTE FOR ME!!!! I I I me me me.

Obama made his wildly inappropriate response then retired to a meal of liver and fava beans.

Devotion and Observancy in a Small Town

All 1646 people my little hometown were shocked and saddened by the news from Fort Hood. You may think we are immune from the acts of devout and observant followers, but we are not.

Only last year, a man, known to attend church at least twice a week, a father, by all accounts a loving father and husband, a belooved and respected minor hockey coach, walked into the local pharmacy and acted out his beliefs.

None of the clerks in the store at the time knew anything about what was happening behind the pharmacist's counter.

One clerk sobbed, I'm not sure what I would have said or done. It's overwhelming.

The man left the pharmacy and even said a cheery good-bye to the clerks as he left.

About an hour later, one of the clerks found the pharmacist.

He was acting strangely, the clerk told the newspaper. He held out his hands so I could see:

A cheque (Canadian for check) large enough to cover all the uninsured prescription drug users in town for two months.

Those Christians!

Canada shoots down Gun Registry

After 20 years of argument and $2 BILLION (an amount which seemed large before the mad Mombassan Marxist appeared on Earth) Canada's Conservative government, with the help of 20 members of the opposition, has decided to dismantle the National Gun Registry.

The vote was 167-134. Frankly, the margin of victory surprised everyone, including Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The NGR was a Liberal government reaction to a shooting at a Montreal university in 1989; 14 women were shot dead by a Muslim. It was supposed to cost about $2 MILLION to create. To create panic the RCMP (the Mounties!) released doctored figures for gun crimes. They merely jacked the numbers 1000%.

Those foolish enough to register found themselves in paperwork for a 12 to 18 months.

A friend was denied a permit to own a gun. He lost his gun. The NGR snoopers called his ex-wife, a woman who had been shown to be a liar in court, and she claimed he had threatened her with a gun once, sometime, not sure when, but ... They had no particulars and they didn't have to give my pal an explanation. No permit. Turn in your gun tomorrow.

You could be denied a permit if you just lost your job or had been ill. The government claimed you'd be mentally unstable. There was no provision to challenge a ruling.

The Liberals claimed most guns were registered but any gun owner I ever knew either did not register or registered only one shotgun or rifle so they would have a license to buy ammo. Friends would agree to buy shells for each other.

The law made criminals out of law abiding citizens who simply didn't trust government.

Not a single crime was deterred. The ganstas of Little Jamaica, Toronto's inner-city, continue to kill each other with unregistered handguns. Handguns have been very restricted in Canada since 1935!

No word yet if the NGR is merely discontinued or if the old files will be destroyed. My guess is that the files will continue to float in the ether.

Stand up. Obama has a similar scheme for gun owners in the USA. It won't work and will be expensive. I didn't have to tell you that, did I?

The Revolution Begins!

The night was about the rejection of Obama, the usurper, and his socialist i.e. unconstitutional policies.

Republican Bob McDonnell has easily won the Virginia governor's race a year after Virginia went gaga over Obama and the Dems.

Republican Chris Christie took the New Jersey governor's race.

One fly in the ointment. Conservative Doug Hoffmann in the 23rd district of NY lost to the Dem. This would have been the biggest victory in the opening round of the Second American Revolution. However, it was a good night for Americans.

A bad one for Obama.

Of course, the State Approved Propaganda Persons (SAPPs) contended that the losses had nothing to do with Obama. The usurper was so unconcerned he was watching the Chicago Bulls game.

The proof that America is not Amerika came for Maine voters who repealed same sex marriage laws. Same sex referendums have failed in all 31 states which have held them, but Maine is the first state to repeal same sex marriage legislation through a referendum.

It is time that normal people stopped being PC (practically comatose) when the subject of sodomy marriage is broached. We should tell homosexuals to draw up a contract dividing their property and enumerating their responsibilities. There is no need for homosexuals to be wed.

I think Christians should eschew legal marriage. Pastors would no longer need to have a license from the state to marry people. Government would have no reason to interfere with the practices of a church. Homosexuals would back off this marriage nonsense then, since it is only a ploy to destroy religious values.

I'm going to predict good things for conservative values in the elections today. I may be just a hopeless optimist but I think Americans, and Canadians, too, are folks who prefer freedom to Big Brother.

I also predict that Tingles, Madcow, Dobermann, and Her Perkiness will downplay the results. As usual, they will be wrong. The Man-Child usurper has scared a lot of Americans. More than we know because of the complicity of the State Approved Propaganda Persons (SAPPs) in their adoration of Obama which hides the amount of fear and rage among Americans.

We must thank Sara Palin, Fred Thompson et al, for sinking the RINO in NY 23rd District. That was a gutsy move for Ms Palin. I like the cut of her gib!

New Jersey voters must be stupider than wallboard if they re-elect Corzine. The man is a pathological tax and spend idiot. He should be put out of our misery. Come on Jersey, can this tuna!

Things ain't gettin' better

The touted increase in GDP for the last quarter is due to government spending with BORROWED money. That's not real growth.
On Friday, FDIC took over nine banks. The biggest daily haul during our current economic troubles.
Food Stamps are feeding over 29 MILLION Americans and illegals.
Costco is accepting food stamps for the first time in its history. No sense in turning away a lot of business.
In December 2008 economists estimated that unemployment in December 2009 would be 7.5%. It will be over 10%. Unemployment benefits have been extended for the third time this year. It doesn't sound like Obama has any faith in his own ideas. (I still assume he is not trying to destroy the country. On purpose.) Estimates for unemployment in December 2010 is now 10.2%. These are government figures! You know things will be worse.
Welfare is on the rise. Naturally, the biggest increases are in states with some of the worst jobless rates. Oregon up 27% in May from a year earlier; South Carolina 23% and California’s 10%. A few big states that had seen declining welfare caseloads just a few months ago now are seeing increases: New York is up 1.2%, Illinois 3% and Wisconsin 3.9%. Welfare rolls in a few big states, Michigan and New Jersey among them, still are declining, largely due to population losses.
Cash for Clunkers was a botched program. House sales are off.
The deficit is still growing.
Tax revenues are falling.
Stand up on your hind feet. Don't count on big government to get us out of this mess!

Republican Death Wish: On Hold

Republican state Assemblywoman Dierdre Scozzafava has more sense than the GOP leadership. She dropped out of the race for New York's 23th District for the good of the party! ConLIb and RINO in most aspects, Diedre decided to release her supporters to vote for Conservative Party Candidate, Doug Hoffman.

So on Tuesday, we should know if the constitution has at least a fighting chance. This could be the slamma-jamma in the smug face of Obama that America needs to survive.

I wish I were overstating the case.

Hoffmann supports lower taxes, fiscal responsibility and opposes Pelosi's agenda of government-run healthcare, more government and less jobs.

We look forward to welcoming Doug Hoffman into the House Republican Conference as we work together for the good of our nation, chastened GOP leaders announced.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele said in a written statement that he "respects" Scozzafava's decision that will allow the RNC to endorse and support Hoffman.

I wonder why Mike didn't insist on a real Republican in the first place!

Owens, the Dem, used the announcement as an opportunity to drop a load of drivel about socialist care and to bash the Bush administration. Nothing new or helpful there.

The district has been Republican since the Civil War. Republican John McHugh held the seat for years until President Obama chose him in June to serve as Army secretary. Nice try Obama! McHugh, what were you thinking?

We must win this. I know Tingles, Madcow, and Dobermann will say Those people in that district would elect a dead horse so long as it was a Republican!: but, this can be the shot across the bow of the foundering ship of state which puts the usurper on notice.

Hillary to Pakistan:Where are the terrorist leaders?

It is a sad day for the world when Mrs Slick Willy Clinton, is the only straight shooter in the US administration. But, I must admit, not having Hillary right now would be an even sadder thing.
Hillary, who knows a lying bastard when she sees one, says she can't believe no one in the Pakistani government has any idea where the leaders of al khyda may be hiding.
We have questions that we are seeking answers for, she said.
According to Pakistani analyst, Mosharraf Zaidi, Hillary has angered some Pakistani politicians.
I think things are pretty much as bad as they are going to get in terms of US-Pakistani relations, he said.
Hillary tried to soften her comments by praising the Pakistani military for its efforts against militants in the Taliban heartland of South Waziristan.
But she called for more action.
It is just a fact that al khyda sought refuge in Pakistan after the United States and our allies went after them because of the attack on 9/11, she said.
She's calling a spade a spade. And I think she smells Obama's crippling fear of decision. And, I think, is ready to be fired.
She was the best choice for President out of the very bad choices we had last November.

The French back-peddle on Multiculturalism

The French have long prided themselves, not completely undeservedly, on their acceptance of other cultures, but even gallic tolerance has a limit, and that limit has been reached.

France's President Mr Carla Bruni, aka Nick Sarkozy, is introducing measures to put the French back into France. His right-hand man is Eric Besson, Minister of Immigration, who said:

...it would be good for all young French people to have the chance to sing The Marseillaise at least once a year.

Besson is half Lebanese and was born in Morocco. That should alleviate part of the backlash. (Naw! Muslims can find hate anywhere.)

Kids will be taught that France has a Christian history. New arrivals, as they are called in France, will be expected to learn French! And native Frenchmen are encouraged to make sure new arrivals speak good French.

Also, Mr Carla Bruni plans to ban the burka and other offensive clothing.

At the time these goals were announced, it was also revealed that deportations continue at ever increasing rates.

Lower immigration quotas are also in the offing.

France is about to engage the enemy. There is NO certainty that these measures will work. At best it is a plan for a generation of educating little French heads full of mush and finding the political guts for this over the next twenty years.

A few days ago, Paris police could not enter a Muslim tenement, despite a barrage of tear gas and a small army of French SWAT members. The police had to retreat. Muslims 1 French cops no score.

Last month, a Toronto grocery store owner and two employees chased a suspected thief. They caught him and tied him up until police came.
When officers arrived they arrested the owner and the two employees, charging them with kidnapping.
The suspect was arrested and charged with theft.
The crown attorney, Canada's version of the D.A. refused to drop the charges and in fact, upped the ante, by cutting a deal with the thief!
Canadians have no right to property. By extension you have no right to protect your property. A citizen's arrest can only be made during the commission of a crime. Once the murder is complete, you can't touch or detain the culprit. God help you if you pull a gun on the misguided lad!
So it's official. Lunacy has replaced reason in the Ontario Court system.

The Province of Ontario storms into the future with an operating deficit for the 2009 fiscal year of $25,000,000,000, and falling tax revenues. To this mix Premier Dolt (perceptive naming by honest parents) McGinty is adding an 8% tax to a lot of previously untaxed goods and services and full-time junior and senior kindergarten, for which he has no money nor plans to raise money.

This is about the silliness of full-time school for 3 to 6 year-olds but I wanted to you to know that our liberal premier's brain-deadedness extends beyond education.

Junior and senior kindergarten are babysitting programs, not educational ones.

There is no rigorous study which proves the value of kindergarten, junior or senior.

In 1965, 4% of 3 to 5 year-olds were enrolled in preschool. Now it's 40%. Moms are leaving their natural job for professionals to do.

During the period 1965 until 2009:

Academic scores have gone down.

Cost of education has gone up.

Juvenal crime has gone up.

All dictators seize control of education, not to improve academic skills, only to inculcate government dictates.

Stand up. Home school your kids for the sake of freedom.

Obama: AWOL

A vote for candidate Obama was either the result of racial prejudice, liberal white guilt, or an unreasoned belief that the untried man had leadership qualities.

Well, it wasn't unreasoned for nothing. Obama has been pushed aside by General Stanley McChrystal and the generals of NATO. The man who is supposed to be the leader of the free world, sent his lackey Secretary Gates to the NATO meeting to listen. How metrosexual! Meanwhile McChrystal et al made the decision while Obama was out golfing with a woman.

Liberals are trying to spin this. Obama already made up his mind, they claim. It took six weeks to decide which kind of dog he'd get for the girls!

If Obama has already made up his mind, he should have told the NATO generals. It would be more opacity from the most secretive and divisive administration in the history of the USA and the ensuing interregnum, if he has made up his mind.

But he hasn't. He dithers. He can't make it on the world stage. He is focused on talk show hosts, a white cop who dared to do his job, the cleverly manufactured swine flu crisis, and the audacity of Fox News and the Chamber of Commerce.

This emperor has no clothes!

General McChrystal has revealed the paucity of leadership and he should be awarded the Medal of Honor for that. Obama tried to shut him up but tin pots and a skinny man who sends deadfish by US Post don't faze a true warrior. Neither did the VP. McChrsytal said Biden's ideas would lead to Chaos-istan.

Sounds like MacArthur when he went rogue in Korea and was sacked by Harry Truman. Obama is no Truman. He lacks Truman's guts.

Obama is not the leader of the free world and that's good because he clearly lacks the character and intellect necessary. But a world in the hands of generals, even those on our side, is likely to be more dangerous than we dare dream.

Breaking News: TV is a boob tube! Even on DVD!

The Disney Company, makers and distributors of Baby Einstein products is offering a full refund of $15.99 to anyone who purchased a DVD between June 5, 2004 and Sept. 4, 2009.

Apparently a kid stuck in front of the boob tube didn't turn into Einstein. The kid didn't even turn into normal public school fodder. Ouch!

I guess it isn't that easy to win a Nobel Prize, except the Peace Prize of course.

Technology has not made students smarter or more diligent. In fact, I would argue that the Baby Einstein experience has been reprised many times with many products, starting with stories on filmstrips and self-teaching machines. The biggest failure in education through technology has largely flown under the public's radar--Sesame Street! Its targeted audience, inner-city kids, has performed worse every year since the program began.

Becoming educated will never be easy. It requires effort. Sitting passively in front of the boob-tube won't make you educated even if you watch Shakespeare and MIT physics lectures.

I've told parents for years: Let your kids watch cartoons but keep them away from Sesame Street and every other program which purports to be educational. At least that way you won't convince yourself the kid is learning something.

Pakistan delays the inevitable

Pakistani forces recaptured a town in South Waziristan from the Taliban, at least momentarily. Kotkai has changed hands three times in the last week.
AIthough the town has some strategic significance, it is important symbolically, since it is the birthplace of Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud and the home town of Qari Hussain Mehsud, a senior commander known as the mentor of suicide bombers.
The victory may be Pyrrhic. The Taliban launched a series of suicide bombing and commando raids that have killed more than 150 people.
Military spokesman Major-General Athar Abbas:
Kotkai was a stronghold of terrorists. A majority of households were turned into bunkers. The insurgents have abandoned their weapons and shaved their beards to try to blend in with ordinary civilians and avoid capture.
Still the West dithers. Increased forces in Afghanistan would help cut the supply lines to the Taliban in Pakistan and perhaps greet the newly shaved terrorists with good old American ordinance. If you think these men have quit the war, you are mistaken. This is just a skirmish in Islam's 1400 year battle with everything non-Islam.
The Taliban must be crushed. Crushing defeat is the only thing Islam respects. Such a defeat would cause Islam to withdraw for a time, but only to get ready for another battle. Modern Western politicians are squeamish about overwhelming victory, and so, the Taliban will win this war. Eventually.
Stand up. Call your Rep and Senator. Obama must commit troops to Afghanistan. This is the renewal of the battle for civilization. The irony is that the West is in the hands of Pakistan and a Muslim in the Oval Office!

Pelosi: Traitor

A Canadian Prime Minister once dismissed a reporter's question about the constutionality of a proposed piece of legislation.

Oh, we'll get around the constitution, Jean Chretein said with a laugh.

At the time I thought how typically Canadian the response was. No Canadian seemed to be bothered by a PM who held our constitution in so little regard.

It would be different in the USA, I pronounced.

Maybe not. Princess of Botox Pelosi dismissed a similar question about constitutionality.

The exchange with Speaker Pelosi on Thursday wen like this:
CNSNews.com: “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?”
Pelosi: “Are you serious? Are you serious?”
CNSNews.com: “Yes, yes I am.”

Pelosi wouldn't even deign to fabricate a lie such as, It's covered under the general welfare clause! To Pelosi the question was so stupid and irrelevant she just shook her curled and dyed locks in disdain.

Now that the constitution is officially just a piece of paper, and dead white guys' paper at that, we can solve the economic crises very simply: Mandate that everyone buy a car and a house. The government owned banks would supply the loans. Why fight it? Let's all become serfs of Princess Pelosi

In a truly law abiding country, Pelosi would be marched to the brig awaiting trial for breaking her oath to uphold the constitution. Alas, this is modern hand full of gimmee America, where no one is worried about anything politicians do so long as the freebies keep coming.

What was that Franklin said? A republic, if you can keep it!

Pay Czars: a great idea-- for government!

I like the idea of a pay czar. If you take tax payers' money, then you should be on a leash. If you are living on the dole, you should not be living the high life. Dole should cover bread, not caviar, and a mini-van, not a Maserati. Those delights must be earned in the free market.
The problem I have is that the pay czar's power doesn't extend to the greatest recipients of tax dollars-- government bureaucrats and politicians.
I suppose we cannot hope that any bureaucrat would accept what he is worth. He sought a position in the bureaucracy because he could not compete in the free market. And in any case, a worker is not likely to pay for the privilege of working!
By any objective measure, government is woefully inefficient. It is thus by design. Do social workers really want everyone working? Do teachers really want self-directed learners? Do road crews really want to use better road building methods?
I once was contracted to do an educational survey for Canada Employment, really Canada Unemployment, since this is where you go when you lose your job. Anyway, I met with a young woman who laid out the job.
I was a little disappointed. On the phone she had led me to believe the contract would take six weeks to complete, but what she showed me was about three days work.
Is this all?
Oh, yes, you have only six weeks to complete it.
Minimum wage was $5.25 an hour at the time. My contract paid me $1000 for a 20 hour week plus telephone expense without receipt for $500 a month plus 1000 kilometres of car use at $2.00 a km, again without the need for receipts, and $50 a day for meals which oddly required receipts.
What a lovely six weeks that was! I was slightly depressed when I went to meet the young lady a month and a half later.
She noted my look. Do you need more time? I knew that was too much work. We have more money, now. Could you finish in six months?
I looked dumbfounded. Before I could answer she added:
I could raise the rates to $1200 a week.
And she did and increased all the other benefits, too. Have you ever tried to spend $750 a week on meals? It was fun. To this day, waitresses speak of my generosity!
The extra six months came to an end too soon but because I had taken a three day job and turned it into a 210 day job, I got a bonus of three months pay and expenses.
To my credit, I did tell the woman that I had finished the job in three days, but she said that I should check everything. If she didn't spend the money she had, she would lose funding in the following year and would be seen as a poor performer. She was a single mom and blah, blah, blah, you know the story.
Stand up. Insist the pay czar regulate the bureaucrats!

He's a little bit Muslim, she's a little bit Western!

Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 48, is chubby, like a lot of Americans from too many ribs and buckets of beer at Hooter's and he drives an SUV, both macho and American. Yet, he didn't want his daughter, his 20 year-old daughter, Noor, to adopt the American way.
So he tracked her down in the most American of all places, a shopping mall parking lot and mowed her down in his American-as-hell, Jeep Cherokee. He didn't succeed in killing her, but he severely injured her. Surely, Allah will be most merciful. At least, Faleh tried to follow the Koran.
The decision to kill your daughter is one that is not made lightly. Male family members are always consulted. That's the Muslim way. Some of the women may have been consulted. Their two cents worth would be worth one cent, of course. That's the Islamic way. I mean if you can kill them, what can their opinion be worth?
Noor lies in an Arizona hospital fighting for her life. Faleh is on the lam (no, not LAMB though that is permitted, according to the Ayatollah Khameini). I guess Faleh wasn't sure of Allah's protection.
Keep your eye for him. Call the cops and DON'T step in front of his silver Cherokee.
Stand up. Muslim women must be protected from Muslim barrows. Western men must step forward!

Dumb and dumber

The dumbing down of education becomes clear to even the staunchest of public school supporters once they read text books from a hundred or more years ago and compare them with present day offerings.

When you use a Participle, as "walking," implying "when,"
"while," "though," "that," make it clear by the context what is

That's from an 1840s grammar text for 12 and 13 year-old boys. Today's 12-13 year-olds must puzzle out if the the proper nouns in this sentence are capitalized.

A year later students are required to identify the misspelling of plural nouns. They are not required to know the correct spellings.

Ann uses special flour mixs when she bakes loafs of bread for bakerys.

And in grade 8, when the darlings are nearly ready for high school, students are required to identify more incorrect spellings of plural nouns.

Obama's proposal also urges the adoption of

(a) No one shall be required to perform forced or compulsory labour; (c) which shall not include: (iii) Any service exacted in emergency or calamity threatening the life or well-being of the community; (iv) Any work or service which forms part of normal civil obligations.

Barack Obama's Youth Service (BOYS) would be exempt from any allegation of being illegal compulsory labour.

There are many more problems with this proposal which I will discuss in future blogs. But don't sit around. The Second American Revolution must begin now.
