A friend told me that she frequently reads about shopping on my blogs. I don’t think so. But I must say that I do blog about that and many other not-so-serious stuff. I prefer to share anything light and happy, a new discovery, something that can inspire and good finds like these Las Vegas hotels I came across online. I really am not so comfortable blogging about personal stuff, for the whole word to read, not that a lot of people read my blogs. But that’s just me. Even with friends IRL, we have to know each other better before I get to open up.

Quite uneventful but fun.

Friday was a dinner with M before she leaves for Canada. She has been here for months and it was only now that we got to see her, just when she was about to leave.

Sunday was merienda with M again and my former boss. I thought it wasn’t going to push through as I already texted M that I’d have to pass as DS was not feeling well. They decided to drop by the house by late afternoon.

DH was busy with his painting job in the house. Our front door is now all red!

DS is still not his usual self. Might bring him to the doctor tomorrow.

I was talking to a friend last night and she told me that she is indeed feels that she isn’t getting any younger. While I believe that age is all in the mind, I must say that is certainly normal to feel little aches here and there as we age. So living a healthy life is the key. There is this new exercise gadget that I came across that looks promising. It’s called Kettlebell. It claims that you can achieve total body fitness in as little as 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week. This I got to try.

I’m still not over my train.

I was supposed to be looking for Anoretix online when I just decided to look at my wish list. I have a few train sets on my list. I just don’t know if it’s possible to have that big thing sent over here so I am choosing from a few sets that don’t come with a table. I’ll just probably have a table made here instead if I decide to proceed with the purchase. Hay, I really want that train set right now so I can give it to DS.

DS missed few days of school last week. He was having cough and colds so we decided to let him stay in the house. I am also afraid that the teachers and even parents will get paranoid if they hear DS coughing in school. It was a good thing that school was suspended for 2 days last week due to typhoon so DS really didn’t miss much. Anyway, his pedia has already seen him last weekend and gave the go signal to go to school. The cough was just some sort of allergy. Anyway I will surely miss those leisurely days as I was able to accomplish a lot things during the break - decluttering, some chores, plus I got to have some more online time which I usually spent at free online auctions, window shopping and browsing stuff.

We finally brought DS to the dentist last week. I keep putting it off for a while. Good thing, his teeth are still ok. The dentist just cleaned them and applied fluoride afterwards. There were times that he would resist and cry a little during the checkup. But all in all it wasn’t a bad experience for him.

Of course, we had to take pictures.

{I have been using the treadmill and I have just purchased Solo Slim. I wonder if the results are obvious. I don’t think so. Maybe in a few more weeks. }

Another Project?

We had some minor renovation/repairs done in the house a few weeks ago. Now that it’s finished, I am thinking of doing some changes in our front yard. I really want a garden so I was telling DH that I want to change the flooring of our front space and then maybe create a little space for a garden, too. I saw some really pretty gazebos from Summerwood Products and I think I want one. I am just not so sure though if a gazebo will fit in our tiny space.

Finally, we brought DS to the dentist this afternoon. I originally planned of bringing him yesterday, but when I called the clinic I was told that the sked for the day was filled already. So we came in today. The pedia-dentist first introduced the tools to DS, then she left for a while probably to make DS more at ease on the chair. When the dentist came back, she counted DS’s teeth, and then she brushed them using the toothbrush DS chose. She then cleaned the teeth and applied fluoride. We were told to come back in 4 months for fluoride application. Since DS still refuses to try out toothpaste with fluoride, his next visit will be much sooner than usual. The visit took 30 minutes. I will post pictures later.

I noticed that DS is not so interested anymore on the usual games he has been playing on the computer. So I have been searching for other kid-friendly sites, like educational games, fun activities and even about museums and libraries. I’m happy to have found a few sites featuring his current favorite characters. I do hope he likes these sites as I don’t want him to be playing his daddy’s games. I was as always watching TV while in front of the computer and I just heard about a certain celebrity who just got out of a drug rehab center. They showed a portion of the center and I was just amazed at how grand the center is. It isn’t like hospitals or other treatment centers out there. It actually feels like you are checking in a fancy resort.

Something Organic.

I grabbed a brochure of organic products being sold by a parent in my son’s school. The products are organic, with no harmful chemicals and surprisingly cheap. I might try their organic facial care as my skin badly needs tender loving care. I haven’t been diligent when it comes to skin care that’s why. I am likewise searching the internet for an effective acne skin treatment. I came across TopAcneTreatment.org, a site that reviews the various acne treatment products and ranks them. I do hope to find the best regimen for my skin.
