Now the last of the four current series of past newsletter articles: "Was Plato ADD?" It's Jerry's insight about the positive qualities of ADD/adhd in light of his discoveries from Plato's Republic written around 350 B.C.E. Plato spoke a unique slice of the population that were "different in nature and kind" than the rest of humanity. Plato called them (us) "Guardians."

Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) is a problem that can affect a large number of ADDers living in North America especially in the norther latitudes where days and sunlight get shorter and shorter in the late Fall and Winter. Jerry shares some facts and research plus some common sense ways to improve our moods when the days are short. This podcast is an oldie but goody audio newsletter article. The article will soon be in the "ABCs of ADD/adhd--Resource Guide," but Jerry wanted to upload the audio recording close to the time change.

A quick look at Spirit of Hope Publishing's Latest book. It's a gift book by Brooke Nightingale, Pastor Jerry's daughter. Brooke is a home school mother of four w/ number five due on Ground Hog Day! She's also an ADDer, who struggled with ADD throughout school. It was only in High School that her Dad, Jerry, learned about ADD/adhd and was able to help her find alternative schooling schooling which allowed her to end public High School w/ straight "A's" and a new attitude about education. The reason Brooke home schools is because of her school experience and insights into education. NOTE the homeschooling appendix in Brooke's book.
