Looking to buy a Fender 12 string acoustic electric guitar? This model from the company Leo Fender started out of a garage in Fullerton is a great addition to your musical arsenal.

So what’s this Fender CD-160 SE-12 12-String Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar got? Well…kick-ass tone for one. Not only ambient natural sounds, but with a Fishamn onboard electronic system it’ll sound great plugged in at the open mike or an ampitheatre.

It’s also pretty spiffy looking, with rosewood fingerboards and a snowflake inlay. (i’m not usually in for snowflake as a style but thhis actually works.)

I know most folks Fender is all electric guitars. But if you’re looking for a 12 string electric guitar then you could do far worse than picking up this Fender 12 String Acoustic Electric Guitar.

You gotta love the Rickenbacker 12 String electric guitar. No history of rock n’ roll would be complete without an exhaustive look at this fine instrument.

Made popular by Roger McGuinn of the Byrds–I’ve spent years trying to get that Turn, Turn, Turn tone right—and a young George Harrison who was given a Rickenbacker 12 string electric guitar on a West coast 1964 tour, this tome chronicles those early 60s when Rickenbacker outclassed its rivals and changed music singlehandedly.

I know what you’re saying…a book? Don’t worry there’s a ton of great pics in here to keep you ADD types satsified. Overall, a great guitar book and a great look at the impact of the Rickenbacker 12 string electric guitar.

Hey dude. Love the blog. (Though I haven’t really had any luck with the ladies like you said.)

So I had a quick question…how do I tune my 12 string electric guitar? Is there something on the computer I can use. The cheap tuner from Guitar Center ain’t working out so hot.

Hey Reggie,

What’s the old joke about tuning 12 string electric guitars: you spend half the time tuning it and half the time getting it out of tune.

That being said I’ll put up a post for my favorite tuner but if you need somethign on the computer try this . It’s a good resource for a quick tuning of your 12 string.

It’s designed for 12 string acoustic guitars, but it will totally work for your 12 string electric guitar.
