I have frequently referenced "Endurance,'' a book about Ernest Shackleton's great voyage to the Antarctic in 1914-1917. His boat, Endurance, was trapped in pack ice and crushed, but Shackleton saved every member of his crew and got them back home. I am asked which Endurance book I read. It is the one by Alfred Lansing.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/1500espn/blogs/joesbookshelf/~4/m2SxmMLnSDE" height="1" width="1"/>
