Hip Hop Recording Artist, RAMPAGE has been highly respected in the hip hop/rap arena for over two decades. He exploded onto the hip hop breeding ground of Brooklyn, NY in 1994. He partnered with his first cousin, hip hop legend Busta Rhymes to form one of the most successful hip hop/rap entities to enter the music game, “The Flipmode Squad”. RAMPAGE, went by the moniker “The 1st Lieutenant” aka “The Last Boyscout” of the Flipmode Squad. The group consisted of a collective of rappers which included Rah Digga, Spliff Star and Baby Sham with each of the aforementioned making a cameo on Busta Rhymes first solo offering titled “The Coming”.

With the success of “The Coming”, Rampage aka 1st Lieutenant was offered his own solo deal which resulted in a RIAA “Gold” certified album titled “Scouts Honor, By Way Of Blood” from two hit singles “Wild for the Night and “Take it to the Streets”. Since his meteoric rise with Flipmode Squad and his own solo endeavors, Rampage has been instrumental in penning numerous chart topping hits which garnered Grammy and MTV award recognition including “Woo-Hah”, “Wild For The Night”, “Flava In Your Ear Remix” and “I Know What You Want”.

Rampage has worked with some of the most prolific and profound hip hop and R&B talent on the planet over the years including Alicia Keys, LL Cool J, and Notorious B.I.G. to name a few. As CEO of Deep Freeze Entertainment, RAMPAGE is definitely making power moves in the realm of entertainment. The Legendary Rapper/Music Executive is on a mission to bring true hip hop back to the forefront. We now go to Johannesburg, South Africa to hear Lunga Sithole aka Rytious. Raised in Umlazi N-section in Durban Kwa Zulu Natal, he was given the name “Rytious” by his dentist who looked up the meaning of his name "Lunga" which means Righteousness

Mpire comes back with another dosage of the track "Smack" with a remix on the Scram Jones produced beat with Murda Mook and AG Da Coroner. With the same energy, pulsating beat and new MC's on the track, this has prolonged life and still bangs hard in the whip!

Miami Florida's very own Lex One comes in with a A dope re-edit of Commons classic "I Used To Love H.E.R". The new re-work of this timeless classic is called "She Used to Love Me" Featuring Lucian White.

Upcoming NYC artist Taj Mahal gives us the 411 on a powerhouse track called "211" featuring Rrose Rrome & A-Mafia. This is going to appear on the upcoming mixtape "Power"

Ben iLLa blesses us with another track from the free downloadable "Soldier of the Universe" with a song called "Universe Heart Beat". Keeping the track pulse flowing is of course production by Atlanta's own E. Smitty

Nomis from Ipswitch, UK provides us with "Raised Up"
Nomis has already released plenty of new music and and is currently working on his new project entitled"Diamonds EP". The release date is yet to be announced.

Dro Pesci always delivers a banging track and fresh lyrics. This time it's a new single from "Groundhog Day" called "Time to Win", produced by Sensei Walingh from Germany.

Stef Owens from Champ City, Ohio brings us a track called "Whats Up (Dollar Bill)" Little is known about Stef Owens, and given "Champ City" sounds like a Super Hero city name, there is a great chance that Stef is incognito by design.

Spit Gemz from Queens New York gives us "Legacy" feat. Kool G Rap (prod by Jordy Simons). This song is just astounding in it's composition, sound, and delivery. Kool G Rap and Spit Gemz create a very formidable duo. Don't sleep on this one!

If New York sound Hip-Hop has a savior, the name would be Frank Castle, with a song called "Daily Word" Feat. Kool G Rap (Prod. By Soe95). Born and raised in New York City’s very own Chelsea Elliot projects in the westside downtown section of Manhattan,comes an underground artist with incredible lyrical wordplay,and story telling ablilty his name is “Frank Castle”
Castle hopes to fufill his dream as a MC and as a hip hop artist and give him and H.O.O.D.Billionaires (H.O.O.D. Brothers) the exposure they deserve, and bring that “New York sound” back to hip-hop.

With another E.Smitty produced opus, we have Struggle the Blind Chemist and a track called "Rugged Times". From North Carolina, Struggle doesn't break a sweat on the pounding drums and soundscape created by the Atlanta beatsmith. We can't wait to hear more!

Dj Flatline closes up the show with a sick a** mix, again, reinforcing why he is the "Chosen One". As we enter into DJ Flatline's operating room, we are blessed with choice cuts and all the expertise that a Hip-Hop DJ must possess. Prepare to be amazed!

Today we bring you an extra special, micro-podcast that is all about something we are completely proud of.

One day, MissFortune and KendeR got in the lab and put together some beats.

KendeR brought over his equipment and record stash and MissFortune started to pull together drums and samples and came up with a bunch of beats.

When the beats were put together we had hoped for nothing more than to get some work done with artists who we profile on our little show that we call 1520 Classic Radio.

Well...we heard Mr.Phormula on a track called "Hiphopishiphop" with the legendary KRS-1.
What struck us about Mr.Phormula is no just his rapping, but his beatboxing, something that MissFormula and KendeR are in awe of as an art form. On top of that, Mr.Phormula raps in Welsh, which sparked our imagination.

So, we hit up Mr.Phormula on Twitter after listening to Cymud, his album and several other tracks he's put out and we could only say...he's worthy of blessing us. With hat in hand and an earnest tweet, Mr.Phormula passed his email address to us and we filled up his inbox with some heat.

Within the day, we had a beat selected, and fastforward a week or two...BANG! We have a track that Mr.Phormula not only rapped and beatboxed on...but also enhanced with a Mr.Phormula twist of warming the track up and amping up some elements.

With 3 brains working in unison we birthed a fantastic track. We can't thank Mr.Phormula enough.

Today, we bring you some of the freshest, newest, cleanest and leanest Hip-Hop tracks that you will hear. Forget top 40, forget whats 'popular', as we live underground and below radar.

This week, we have a bunch of tracks coming from all across the globe. We go to Australia, to visit a world class artist, dip to Utah to and then bust over to England.

Trife Diesel and Termanology set off the episode with a 1520 Classic Radio produced track called "Trife & T". Trife is from Staten Island, NY and Termanology is from Boston, Mass. The Beat is produced by KendeR of (ahem) Bowmanville (look it up son!) and co-produced by the legendary DJ Flatline of Mississauga. Shout outs to Clockwork Music on this track!

Leaf Dog, one of The Four Owls and renowned beat maker sends us a Quincy Jones sampled track called "Sweet Thing" all the way from South London, in the UK. High Focus is the label that Leaf Dog runs, and has worked with many legends within Hip-Hop.

Fliptrix, another member of The Four Owls shot over a new track freshly released called "The Warning", Produced by Molotov. We gotta hand it to High Focus, they are consistently putting out AMAZING tracks that set a high standard.

Boston Producer Statik Selektah and and New Hampshire MC Chatham bring us a track called "Something For You" Featuring Mr. Cheeks.

Rob Carney is an Instagram find, who sets the tone with his track called "Go Big". This New Jersey native shot on our radar with his album you can find on iTunes or Google Play. Be sure to check out his website too.

Hopping aboard a big Jet Liner, we check in with 4thEye from London England with a Youtube freestyle and track from his album (on Bandcamp) called "Soul Rich". This MC's flow is flawless and creative. 4thEye is a must hear!

Flipping a classic sample, and coming all the way from Ogden Utah, Linus Stubbs produced the track "Commercial Kingz" for Wildelux (of no fixed address).

Of course, DFlowetry, the precocious, ambitions and talented MC from Las Vegas Nevada brings a banger called "Nice as I am".

Let's go to the land where everything wants to eat you. Perth Australia is where Kid Tsunami hangs his hat, but make no mistake, this beat maker is a BEAST on the beats and production. Kid Tsunami brings "No Guarantees", and be sure to check his catalog as he has worked with many including Sean Price and Masta Ace. This guy is simply amazing.

Dro Pesci from New York hit us up with a bunch of bangers, and this week we played "From New York", ft. Infamous Haze. This raw MC is so talented and real that we just can't get enough. We hope to do some work with him soon.

King Mean isn't that mean, and in fact, he sounds nice on the Mic. King Mean sends us "Broken Diamonds" through Twitter.

Lil Doodie from Baton Rouge, Louisiana holds it down with a banger called "Intro", which is the intro to the mixtape THC. This track also has a video on Youtube, so please, check that out too!

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada bred MC, producer and Juno nominee Muneshine teams up with KendeR of the 1520 Classic Radio Show as we put our "Best Foot Forward". This track drips with chilled out drums and a plunking bassline. Shoutouts to Muneshine for repping this, as it was a Japan only release on his album "Status Symbol".

"Long Live" is an homage and dedication to the memory of Justine Aristide (10-31-1996 to 12-30-2014). Thank you Skylar And Lamb for bringing this to us.

Tinman needs not to see the Wizard, though, he still is heartless with the track FWT (Fuck With This). Tinman is an actor and rapper from Los Angeles California.

Someone call the dogpound, Stray the Rabid Dog from Madrid Spain is on the loose again with his pal Snud from Scotland on a track called "The Rap Undead" featuring Ikue and Kapes. Snud brings banging production while Stray holds it down on the mic. More please. The tracks coming from this pair are incredible.

Topping up the show, we have Venemous2000 from Planet Rock, England (couldn't find that on Google Maps...) with a track called "This Ain't It" produced by Layzee D. This track swings with a dope flow.

In this episode, we take a trip around the globe from the UK to Canada, Germany, USA and even Spain!

What you hear is literally what is happening in the streets all across the world!

Illa Ghee blesses us with a 1520 Classic Radio produced track called "Incredible Math", The arithmetic is correct on this equation as Illah Ghee spits hot bars over the 1520 Classic Radio produced beat, Shout outs to DJ Flatline! You may have heard Illa Ghee on "Hold you Down" produced by Alchemist on 1st Infantry with Nina Sky, and on Mobb Deep's "Hell on Earth".

Illa Ghee also hits us up with an insane track with an equally insane title "Razor Blade Vomit". Go grab "Social Graffiti" on iTunes now and support this MC, who, in our opinion is the epitome of true Hip-Hop!

If you like true Hip-Hop, don't sleep on this MC from Paris, France who, has a venomous flow and lays it down in French. Venom,  brings us to justice with a track called "Punisseur".

ConciousQuis  brings us the "Best of Both Worlds". This Jersey City, New Jersey native is a Renaissance man, and brings us this song through our Twitter handle.

We love this name, and we love this track....Mr. Muthafuckin Xquire  has "Conversations With God" in this Mr. Len produced epic.

Strolling across the street from 1520 Classic Radio Headquarters, we hook up a beat and rhyme from Malvern's (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada) own Abaddon and he get's sick on a track called "Swine Flu". Abaddon is wears both the MC and Producer hats having worked with Gee Wunder, Madchild and a host of other artists.

1520 Classic Radio throws a way back track from their library of songs as Atlas Da African wears his crown proudly. An African Prince, Atlas brings us a 1520 Classic Radio produced banger called "Quarter Past One".

Hassani Kwess & The Kings declare to us "I Can Rap On Anything", produced by Scarecrow Beats. This collaborative project between Pittsburgh's Mr. O2tha, Nick Lewis and DC's very own Hassani Kwess blesses us with proof of microphone prowess.

Cortavious Vaughn pens a "Letter to America". Cortavious Da'Rell is from Cleveland Mississippi, USA and started rapping at the age of 16. Coming from poverty, racism and other of life's challenges, it's his hope to leave a legacy of hope.

King Piff opens his dictionary and provides "Definition" on a track that slid through to the 1520 Classic Radio Show on Twitter. Originally taken from a video on Vevo, this short taste of this MC's talent defines King Piff's elegant flow.

True Vintage declares every day "My Day", with a track that features Pep Love of the legendary collective "Hieroglyphics". Hailing from above the clouds in Denver Colarado, True Vintage are an outfit that brings true Hip-Hop to the core. Find them on Kickstarter now, and fund some real deal music.

Marc Vinyls, an alumnus of "It Came From the Streets", and in fact appeared as our very first artist featured, sends us another banger on a more conscious tip. The track is called "Winter Dayz", produced by Nick Gallow, featuring Yung $.K.R.A.P.

Juxx Diamondz is a raw Brooklyn, New York MC who has teamed up with the legendary Royal Flush from Queens, New York to bless us with a track called "Strapped Up". Miss Fortune declared this beat to be DIRRRRRTY, mad grimey. And she's right. This pair have produced a video for this track as well, and can be found on YouTube.

Jumping across the globe, we land in Madrid Spain, where the streets has produced a dude by the name of Nano, who paints a Spanish picture over Inolbeats with a track called "Turbio". The flow is smooth, the beat is sick and the video makes me long for warmer weather - this is the epitome of what "It Came From the Streets" is about. A world ghetto, speaking only one common language - music.

Sinartistix does a "Driveby", produced by SCNTST and delivers this track in German - a first for our show and definition of what this segment is all about. The Beat, The Flow, the feel is gritty and real. This is What Hip-Hop is!

Lock up your kids, Stray the Rabid Dog is on the loose as "The Drifter" kills the speakers on this rich flute driven beat produced by SNUD of Glasgow, Scotland. This Spanish/Scottish mixture is pure underground with a gritty sound causing Miss Fortune and KendeR to nod their heads like some one having a stroke - Well done! Dirty Dike on the High Focus Label from the UK gets "Agitated" and features Skuff on the track. This one is another head nodder, from same folks that brought us "The Four Owls" on Volume 3 of "It Came From The Streets".

It's another episode of the 1520 Classic Radio Show, and Miss Fortune and KendeR celebrate the lives of those who have passed on.

Though we didn't know these artists personally, their bodies of work have left an indelible imprint on ~~Hip-Hop~~ Music History.

We could talk about ODB, Notorious BIG or even 2pac, but wanted to pay respect to those who have shuffled this mortal coil who may not get the moment that they deserve.

Some are famous, some are infamous. Some met their fate through natural causes. Some were unfortunately murdered in their prime.

So let's not cause any Trouble T-Roy, and take it Eazy-E as we sit back and puff a Big L.

All of them have left impressive bodies of work, to which we raise our O.E., and pour some on the ground.

They may be dead and gone, but their legend lives on.

We also celebrate that Miss Fortune steps up to the mic and firmly asserts herself as the one half to the 1520 Classic Radio Show that completes the ensemble.

BigLo brings us "Judas" and tells us that peace is for Buddhists. This video is amazing too, and really deserves to be on "It Came From the Streets".

Coming all the way from Liverpool, England (but not from the Cavern Club) Royzy puts on his track "Tom Ford Cologne" . This track came to us in a care package from the man himself, and Royzy has a bright future holding the Hip-Hop torch firmly in his hands!

Don't get twisted, Nitty Scott MC draws us a freestyle called "Bath Salts Freestyle" and proves why her skills brought her to the BET awards!

Hip-Hop isn't dead. Buxaburn makes a "Skeleton Walk" by resurrecting the 4 elements with phat lace Adidas. The track's concept is truly original, and proves what NaS declares "dead wrong".

Cpistola found us on Twitter and thogh our exchange of broken English was comical, there's nothing funny about this Chilean MC's track "versos a quema ropa feat delirioh"

We continue our world tour and head over to Spain to see if "Words Are Like Knives" by Shaun Alejuandro.

Heading to Uganda, we meet up with Royalty, Atlas Da African and a MilkCrate (1520 Classic Radio) we hear "Never Fake Moves"

Es from Toronto Canada brings us some very inspirational words, and shares his outlook on life, as a father and a career man. The Posse Cut spans all points of the Hip-Hop spectrum, with messages of raw lyricism, story telling and terrible terrible math skills (Ahem - Foxy Brown) as you will find out in this podcast.
1520 Classic Radio went combing through the catacombs of the record library to bring you the most posse-est cuts, and we may need to do a part 2, since there are several that we could discuss.
