Throughout both songs he seemingly dropped the N Bomb and managed to get it through the audio censors in both racially charged songs that surprisingly didn't seem fit for the music performance on SNL. "Black Skinheads" had Kanye screaming over the images of snarling dogs. New slaves was performed in front of a projection of his close up face. This has also been done in many other locations for the premier of New Slaves on the side of buildings. 66 Buildings in 10 cities.

Regardless Kanye is a genius and I hope to feel the same way I always do after listening to this new album. We will all see soon enough.

Probably one of the best movies that will hit in 2013 is going to be the new Gatsby movie. Right along with the movie is probably going to be the soundtrack for the movie. With tracks from Jay Z, Lana Del Rey, Gotye, The xx and many more this soundtrack is destined to be one of the best selling albums of the year.

If you have heard the rap song by Jay Z on the commercial for the movie trailer and was wondering who sings the song then that would be Jay Z and the song is called 100$ Bill. The song is definitely a hit and should climb the charts quick.

Another great track from the Gatsby movie soundtrack that has been released is the haunting "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey.  This is just one of those tracks that you can just close your eyes and listen to and it will take you to one of those places...She is an awesome artist.

So were you wondering at one point who sings that thrift shop song and now you are hearing a new song by the same guy taking over the billboard charts? If you live under a rock the artist is Macklemore and his new album features Ryan Lewis. The new song is "Can't hold us" off of the same album as Thrift Shop

So I have been a fan of Macklemore since around 2011. I heard a few of his tracks including wings, the town and some others and thought he def brought something different to the game. When i saw that he paired up with Ryan Lewis for the new album to add to his unique ability and style I was pumped to hear what they came up with. I honestly wasn't much of a fan "Thrift Shop" but that was obviously the song they created to help create a big buzz and they were def on the money with that one.

This song is much more of a tribute to the actual skillz that these guys have to create a great song that still packs some punchy lines and a very catchy hook. Make sure to give this album a chance and support the artist! Buy the music.

I know this isnt classified as a hip hop track but i wanted to show you all that I do more than just beats.. Alex clare is a artist that is just starting to blow up on the music scene. His first single was called "Too Close" that most of you have probably heard on the internet explorer commercials.. (You know - that one with the dubstep sounding bass wobble over the hook) If you havent heard of him then you should check him out no matter what genre of music you are into. This cover is a version of treading water acoustic. In my opinion this is one of the best tracks on the album. You guys thought I just made beats.. I became a huge Alex Clare fan lately and have worked threw quite a few of his tracks on the acoustic. Here is a mellow acoustic cover version of "Treading Water" off of his album "Lateness of the hour" (Prob one of the best albums of the year - so go get it!) I left this pretty raw and uncut and just added a bit of reverb to the final product. Hope you guys can dig it!

Invest in yourself as a rap artist

So this is going to be a quick public service announcement about something that never ends.. Here is the questions at hand... Why would I ever give you free beats to use if you have no recorded songs I can hear.. No Facebook, youtube, or twitter page promoting your music.. Yet you claim you are the next big thing and i should be honored that you are reaching out to me to try and get something for free.. Here is the deal.. If you dont work in studio with me, you havent ever heard from me before, or you are not crazy talented and able to give me some return promotion then please do not ask me. There are a few free beats on my youtube and facebook page that you can use. New artists need to learn the concept of investing in yourself before asking others to invest in you. Believe me - I have always been willing to help artists that have purchased beats from me and have kept in touch and I have heard their improvements. I am always down to work with talent and motivated people who are talented.

So here was the deal.. I was annoyed at the abundance of people asking for free stuff the other week in the studio so we made this track basically to see how long it would take someone to ask to get on it for free.. The dam hook says "Dont ask me for nothin.. If you aint trying to pay" You know how long it took?? 4 hours and I was asked on facebook. To me that is just ignorance. Of course I was very polite as always and referred to "artist" to my free beats section but this just goes to prove how clustered the rap game is with no talent wannabees that must have no one close enough to them to let them know that they sound like garbage! Invest in your self.. Hot beats, hot tracks, and hot visuals/videos is what you need. Keep putting these out consistently and people will start to talk about you. Oh yeah.. Always take constructive criticism with an open mind and try to understand where the criticism is coming from. Everyone has an opinion and they all count!
