Flower Blooms

Hi Friends!

After getting all the right tools & ingredients for my cupcake project yesterday..and so today early in the morning after taking my breakfast and exchange hugs & kisses with my boo..I started my flower bloom project!! I was so excited & enjoyed every moment of it.
Few days ago while thinking bout this current project,wasn't quite sure what type of cupcake flavor I would like..as I would not want these cupcakes to be lovely on the outside only..but rather in the mouth too! I was thinking vanilla is easy as A B C..but it's kinda boring..in the end..why not adding abit of something to the vanilla cake..then I came up with Vanilla with chocolate chip & crushed walnuts! Superb!

So peeps..without further ado..here are the final result..enjoy! =)

Hi everybody!

I'd apologize for my long absents from my cupcake blog! It has been a month plus from my last entry & update from my baking journey! I know,I know..I hope you can be so kind to forgive me :))
Well, let me start with the most anticipate Royal Wedding of Prince William & His most lovely bride the soon to be Princess Catherine Middleton! I love Kate! Don't you? I believe she is a sweet, kind & a humble down to earth kinda person. I wish the both of them an everlasting happiness!

In every wedding, besides the dresses & flowers..a bride or the guest for sure will look out for the cake! Yes,The Cake! It's one of the most essential item in the wedding list. In this entry, I would like to add that His Majesty Prince William & Miss Catherine Middleton has chosen Leicestershire-based cake designer Fiona Cairns to create their wedding cake.

I am looking forward to seeing it..I believe it's going to be grand..a symbol of power & love. Just like the Queen's mother wedding cake in 1923.

The Wedding will be shown live in Astro on the 29th April 2011(Friday) ..don't miss it!

Chocolate Orange ?

Hi all!

Can't help it but the color of red & brown stuck in my head for Valentine's day! Lol..I guess it complements together. I've decided to make something chocolaty and red..and yes! I did an orange cupcake flavor and swirl it with the delicious chocolate ganache and topped it with few words of love :) ..there's nothing better for the combination of Chocolate with Orange..here it is :)

The cake was soft & moist and it tasted delicious & the chocolate ganache was perfect!

Hi All!

Just like Christmas & New Year..Chinese New Year has also just pass by..time really do flies when you're having a great time! How was your CNY guys? I hope all of you had a great time with your family & friends..great meal & catching up with them. As for me, I did had a great time with my family..especially some of them who came back from overseas..it was a very nice time..however wish my mom came home this time of the year. Oh well..she will be coming home very soon :)

In this post, I would like to share some of my baking adventures that I've made during the CNY season! Aside from the cookies which were Almond cookies,Peanut cookies,Chocolate cookies,Sugee cookies & last but not least Pineapple tart, I've also made the Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Cream Cheese; Moist chocolate cake with ganache frosting, and some chocolate cupcakes & carrot cupcakes. My Baking Affair

Hi All..

It has been a busy & yet great on the same time for me this month! Though please do apologize for my semi-long absent from updating my site, however, I am back and wanna share what I've been up to during my absent.

As some of you may know that from my profile in facebook that I've made the decision that to give something back to society especially for those in need, as in this case..the Joy & Share charity program . What I hope to achieve from giving this specially made cupcakes for these children was to make them feel happy when seeing & enjoying the cupcakes. I heard this saying before that " to be happy is to make someone feel happy" , that is so true indeed. Just imagine yourself in their shoe, how would you feel without proper food,roof under your head every single day. It's really sad. That is why we need to re-evaluate our way of living sometimes, we intend to take things for granted in life. My best advice for you, not you exactly..but just my 2 cent opinion..at least this is what I usually tell myself..be grateful with what you have before you start complaining bout your life of something you haven't got..I am not saying don't stop to dream & attain your dreams/goals, but don't whined about everything! For example, you complain that you don't have the latest handphone,game,shoes,blouse,etc.

Anyway, here's what I gave to the great kids in St.Theresa (Kota Marudu). You guys are awesome!

Last Monday..I did the same theme for a young girl's party as she choose it from the Joy & Share cupcakes I've made earlier. Here was the final result~~

The following day I've made Red Velvet with Cream cheese frosting for my soon to-be-sister-in-law..hehehehe. I hope she enjoys it as much as we did! I had a great time in baking & frosting all these cupcakes, not even one was neglected with focus & dedication. I hope you guys like it, or better..love it!

Weekend Baking

Hi Friends,

How was your weekend last week ? I hope it was a good one, taking some rest from work & spending some quality time with family & loved ones or perhaps catching up with your buddies. Whatever it was..I hope you guys had a great time. Well..as for me I was baking cakes for an order by a customer..not just any customer..it was my aunt..she requested a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for her granddaughter; Amani, who is turning 2 on Sunday (31st October). How time flies she's already coming to 2 years old.

And so, I baked the cake in the afternoon of Saturday and made the frosting at night. This was a tested recipe so I know it's delicious and my family do enjoy this cake, I hope my aunt's family will enjoy this too!

The cookies and cream filling was my first attempt, and how glad was I to finally make it! It taste delicious, just like an ice-cream! I used Oreo cookies and cream, it did not overpower each of the flavor rather it complements each other. To put it as a filling & frosting in one cupcake was great, you get that smooth-chilling-balance kinda sweetness. It's a must try!

Hi All,

It has been weeks since my last update about my cupcake journey..I've been busy with family stuff and on the same time I was doing a research on how to revamp my site to a better look! So here it is the look, I hope you like it though there are still more rooms for improvement.
Last Thursday my nephew Ben turn 1 month old, so we decided to do his fullmoon celebration. As some of you might have known that earlier I posted an Elmo & Cookie monster cuppies which I was practicing for Ben's fullmoon..however, at the very last minute everything was so rushing I wasn't able to make him those cuppies though on the bright side..I managed to bake & make him his 1st Birthday cake!! My sister told me she wanted it to be a vanilla cake with white chocolate frosting! And so...ladies & gentlemen here I present you my Vanilla Cake with White Chocolate Frosting. It was in fact a very very great outcome.

I will for sure be putting this cake flavor in my menu from now onwards.

Hey All,

I've been busy babysitting my baby nephew these couple of weeks as my sister came to stay with us for awhile because of the kitchen renovation at her new place. Well..Baby Ben is three(3) weeks old already!! I'm anticipating his fullmoon party where he will be one(1) month old..and brainstorming what I'm gonna make for him..this is very exciting! My sister said she would like chocolate cuppies and I would like to topped that up with Elmo & Cookie monster's face from the Sesame Street's characters. I've been practicing them. Check it below. I still need to improve them until Ben's fullmoon :) Don't want to disappoint my Lil nephew..
