Tutorial: Simple Ulzzang Inspired Look

Hi girls! So today, I'll be showing you girls how to do a simple ulzzang inspired look. For those who are unfamiliar with the word "ulzzang", it simply means "best face" or "good looking" in Korean. Ulzzangs are considered net idols whom are well known for their good looks and fair skin (and photoshop ajajaja! :p). For the eyes, they emphasize on large dolly eyes, which gives off that innocent vibe. Typically ulzzangs will use circle lenses to make their eyes appear bigger too, which I have omitted in this tutorial. I hope you guys enjoy!

French pastry shop Ladurée and Japanese cosmetics brand Albion (who also created brands such as Paul & Joe and Jill Stuart) are launching Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée (What a mouth full!), a new line of makeup that has the most beautiful packaging ever! The line will debut in Japan starting January 29th and into Europe this fall.

Fruity Crêpe Masks

Crêpes are one of my favorite desserts. They are so light and refreshing yet still manages to satisfy my sweet tooth. Today I'm going to show you girls how to make two facial wash-off masks following our fruity crêpe theme that are great for your skin!

Berries n' Cream

Let's begin with our ingredients and their beauty benefits!

Strawberries

Has natural occurring Salicylic Acid that will help with nasty spots and the excess sebum.
Rich in Vitamin C that will stimulate collagen production in your skin

Heavy Cream/Whipping Cream

Contains lactic acids (an alpha hydroxy acid) that will gently exfoliate your skin
Soothes irritated skin
An awesome skin moisturizer!

Blueberries

Full of antioxidants!
Fights off the damages of free radicals.
Prevents aging.

Start off by mashing up 1 ripe strawberry.

Add a couple blueberries and mash those up as well.

Add 1 tsp of heavy cream or whipping cream. (NOT WHIPPED CREAM)

Add 1 tsp of all purpose flour to thicken everything up.

And we're done!

Chocolate Banana

Once again, let's begin with our ingredients and their beauty benefits!

Bananas

Anti-bacterial in nature and are excellent in treating skin blemishes.
Rich source of Vitamin A and Potassium.
Softens and hydrates the skin.

Egg Yolks

Contain vitamin A, a vitamin known for its anti-aging properties.
Reduces oil production and bacteria that can cause acne.

Chocolate

Powerful anti-oxidant properties to fight against aging and free radicals.
A great moisturizer, hydrating and rejuvenates the skin .

Taking 1/4 of a banana, I sliced it into pieces and mashed it up with a fork.

Next, I took one egg york (no whites!) and added 1 tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder to it, mixing well.

Lastly, I incorporated my mashed bananas.

And now we're done!

Apply the mask of your choice to a clean face for 15-20 minutes then rinse off with warm water. Make sure to tone and moisturize your skin afterwards to lock in the moisture!
Make sure to use up the masks in 2-3 days max! Store in the refrigerator.

And that is it! I hope you girls try these masks out and let me know how they work for you! I personally love the chocolate banana one!

So before I purchased these scissors, I was using an eyelash comb and a pair of mini scissors to trim my eyebrows and that really did not work out so well for me at all! I haven't gotten the chance to use these yet but I have a feeling they will be much easier to use to trim my brows.

Koji Dolly Wink Long Mascara

Ahhh one of the mascaras I've been meaning to test and try. I've only used it once so far and I am impressed. The formula is very wet, elongating my lashes without any clumping. (I only applied one coat, so I don't know if that will change if I apply more than one coat.)

Koji Dolly Wink Pencil Eyeliner (Brown)

After I recorded the video, I tried to smudge the swatch on my hand and it barely budge! Even after I showered there was still traces of the eyeliner left. I hope it stays smudge-proof on my oily lids~!

Etude House Red Spot Balm Set

It's suppose to help with the redness of blemishes and red scars. It also comes with a sample size of the Pink Daily Spot cream, which I also bought a full size of since I did not know the sample would be included. It also comes with a mini spatula!

Etude House Pink Powder Spot Set

Comes with their Pink Powder spot treatment and a sample size of the Red Spot Balm (also did not know this would be included...). There are also cotton buds included! The Pink Powder Spot is supposed to be a spot treatment, similar to Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion. I wonder which one works better. Must test this out!

Review: Laneige Multi Cleanser

Laniege Multi Cleanser Product Description

A 4-in-1 cleanser that removes makeup, sunscreen, exfoliates and cleanses.
Contains Papain Enzymes found in papayas that aid in exfoliating.
Ideal for all skin types

Price: Purchased for $25.00 on Ebay

Packaging

Nothing special about the packaging. Comes in your typical squeeze bottle. This is the reformulated version so the packaging is blue, rather than the old pink packaging.

Performance

This is my all time HG cleanser. It does an amazing job removing my stubborn sunscreen and BB cream, leaving little (if not any) makeup residue behind. This is actually my third tube! This is the reformulated version as I mentioned above and I feel that it actually cleanses slightly better than the original formula. Like most foaming cleansers, it gives you the squeaky clean feeling and if you were to use this as both a morning and a night cleanser, it might just dry out your skin. (That happened to me, and I have oily combination skin.) Although I do notice that it seems to be less drying when used along side with a foaming net.

I do NOT recommend you try to remove your eye makeup with this cleanser because it STINGS a whole lot. The cleanser has a refreshing citrus smell; I remember really enjoying the smell when I first started using it. Since I've been using this cleanser for so long now, I don't really smell it anymore if that makes sense. My nose got used to it I suppose. One of the things I like about this cleanser is that it gives my face an instant brightening effect; of course this is only temporarily, but it's pretty nice to see my face all bright and glowy right after cleansing haha.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this cleanser for those wanting to try something new. It is a tad pricey for a cleanser but you really only need a pea size to thoroughly cleanse your entire face (and neck too) so it definitely lasts for awhile.

Miss Tangerine Cream Choux Blusher is a cheek blusher featuring creamy silky powder designed to bring out the natural vitality of your skin!

Packaging

The packaging of this blush looks just like a lip gloss squeeze tube (jumbo sized) and it's pretty cute. Haha. Nothing bad about it.

Color

These blushes come in four shades, I picked up the pink and light peach. The other two available are a light lavender and an extremely bright orange. The colors are not the most "natural" colors since they are quite bright.

Performance

These are currently my favorite blushes and I always seem to reach for them. It comes out in a cream form but dries to a powdery matte texture. The color payoff is very good, applying very vibrant, so I have to make sure I don't over blush and end up looking like a clown. That being said, the vibrancy fades rather quickly so I do end up having to reapply it quite often to keep it bright. Although if you're looking for something that blends in more natural, the fading will offer that. I just love how these blushes are so easy to blend (I use my fingers) and it's quick too.

CLEANSERS

I cleanse my skin 3 times a day with 1 of the 4 cleansers above. The Laneige cleanser is mainly for removing my sunscreen when I come home mid-day and on the days that I have any type of base makeup on. The other 3 are used in the morning and in the evening just to give a quick gentle cleanse. (I'm quite oily so cleansing 3 times a day doesn't dry out my skin.)

Asian Skincare Collective Haul + 1st YouTube Video!

So I just had to pick up products from Kao Essential after hearing so many good reviews on their hair products. I decided to pick up the Nuance Airy shampoo and conditioner along with 2 hair mask, both the Nuance Airy one and the Rich Premier.

So as I was browsing Sasa, I can across these Silk Whitia masks that happened to be on a buy 1 get 1 free promotion. They had really good reviews and I decided to pick 2 kinds up, the Quick Action Moisturizing and the Whitening and Moisturizing.

Last from Sasa is the Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara. I've been using the Imju Fiberwig mascara for so long and it was seriously my HG since it was the only mascara that didn't smudge like crazy on me. Only complaint was that it did have a flaking issue. The Kiss Me Heroine Make mascara has not flaked on me yet and coats my lashes GREAAAAT. This could perhaps be a new HG!

Along with the mascara, I also purchased a Mung Bean/Green Bean Cleanser/Mask from a brand called Kuan Yuan Lian. Mung Bean is rich with Vitamin A, B, and C and this cleanser/mask also works as a gentle exfoliate. I love the multipurpose function!

Ebay Haul

I'm running out of my usual Laneige skincare products and I decided to try out the Skinfood Parsley and Mandarin line and the Tea Tree line. Both lines are targeted towards troubled skin and I picked up a toner, emulsion and essence.

Another Innisfree product! This Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask is also for problematic/oily skin and it's suppose to unclog your pores, sucking out the impurities. This product was one of Innisfree's top selling products in 2010 and can be used all over or as a spot treatment.

And lastly, my favorite part! The new My Beauty Diary products from their Afternoon Tea Time line! Of course, I just had to pick up the 2 new flavored masks in Chocolate Truffle and Earl Grey Tea and Macoron and a mini set that included 2 mask, 1 of each of the new flavors and smaller size of the Strawberry Amino Acid Cleanser and Vanilla Souffle Scrub. G-Market Haul #2 !

My 2nd G-Market haul came earlier this week and I am once again very satisfied with my purchase! This is the first time I am purchasing clothing from G-Market and I was VERY happy that everything looked just like the stock photos and the colors are accurate as well. Some Etude House products, a phone charm, and earrings! I purchased 2 of the choux blushes from the Miss Tangerine line (shades 2&3), the Baking Powder exfoliator and a headband thingy. o_o

The quality of these shoes are quite awesome and the material is sturdy. I chose size 250, (like I always do with Korean shoes) and these are just a tad bit loose, but nothing too major.

I love how this bag can be worn in 2 ways! Inside it's separated into 2 compartments.

The top part of this dress is really sheer, so I have to wear a tank inside. >< This was a free size, and it's just a little bit looser than I'd like it to be.

I love the buttons on these jeans and the jeans are made with a stretchy material. Although...going to the restroom must take just a tad longer with all the buttons. :p hehe.

This top also is super sheer, as you can somewhat see my undergarment in the pics. >< But that being said, the fabric doesn't feel cheap.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shorts. I was worried that they'd either be too small or too big but they fit PERFECTLY. <3

I was worried the blazer would be too big for me and would fit weird since I have trouble buying the right blazers, BUT to my surprise, it fit just right. (: Ajajaja, my measuring skills pay off. Hehehe.

The cardigan was a slightly darker oatmeal color compared to the picture, but there wasn't much of a difference so I'm not that bothered by it. It's a thin cardigan, perfect for the season right now. (For me at least xD) I'm still wearing cardigans and what-not even though the temperature is rising up to the 90s. I'm nuts. T____T

Hey ladies! Long time no post D: (As always T__T) I hope everyone is doing well! So about 2 months ago, I made my first G-Market order after drooling over the many selections of items they sell. Let's just say, I was a happy camper. (:
