<description><![CDATA[This review explores cross-cultural management practices in international sports federations, with a focus on communication and decision-making frameworks and their impact on governance and team effectiveness. A narrative literature review was conducted through a comprehensive search of multiple academic databases, identifying 1,044 publications from 2020 to 2025. Following systematic screening based on quality criteria, 50 studies were selected for detailed analysis. Findings indicate that multicultural leadership and intercultural competence substantially enhance team performance in diverse contexts. Multi-paradigmatic, context-sensitive approaches are more effective than ethnocentric models. The use of digital technologies and cross-cultural training supports communication, though implementation remains inconsistent. Persistent challenges include cultural misunderstandings, underrepresentation of minorities in leadership roles and structural governance constraints. The review highlights critical research gaps, notably the scarcity of Longitudinal and intervention-based studies and limited exploration of minority leaders&rsquo; experiences. It emphasizes the importance of inclusive and adaptive frameworks to address the complexities of global sports governance, ensuring equitable representation and effective cross-cultural collaboration.]]></description>
