Since the engine has been sitting in the engine stand in my shop for an extended period of time, the engine would need to be primed or pre-oiled before starting it. This would prevent unnecessary damage to the rotating parts requiring lubrication and may have dried up.
The Bothwell car show and swap meet / flea market is a good event to attend. It is in the small Southwestern Ontario town of Bothwell in Victoria Park. I have attended this event many times in the past years. Bothwell is about 50 kilometers or approximately a 1 hour drive from my house.
Here is a short video showing some of the tools required to polish aluminum on your hot rod, custom car, or in my case, engine parts from my 1987 Corvette convertible. This is the first in a series of how to polish aluminum.

Everything about building a hot rod. Currently working on a 1929 Ford Roadster Hot Rod using C4 Corvette suspension components. Lots of good stories & build information including chassis drawings & plans

The C4 Corvette suspension that I removed form the 1986 Corvette Indy Pace car convertible has found a new home in the 1929 Ford Model A hot rod. Everything is just about complete on the hot rod chassis. My first attempt at designing and developing an upper shock mount for the coil over shocks just...
