Quase me machuquei seriamente, uma corda que estava usando para me ajudar estourou por conta do peso.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Por sorte a peça estava a poucos cm do solo e também não caiu no meu pé. Apesar disso um toco de madeira me acertou e fiquei com um galo na testa por alguns dias. Consegui colocar a peça no lugar depois de muito trabalho. Não liguei-o na parte elétrica pois pretendia testa-lo separadamente da caixa reguladora de voltagem antes de ligar tudo e correr o risco de queima-lo novamente.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Para testar eu pretendia dar a partida no motor e medir a carga gerada em marcha lenta, conforme indicado no manual que encontrei, porém não consegui dar partida. A bomba de gasolina começou a vazar razoavelmente, e creio que precisarei trocar a junta. Talvez tenha estragado porque fiquei mais alguns meses sem poder utilizar, enquanto aguardava o dínamo ser colocado no lugar.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Além deste vazamento, que atrapalhou, porém não impediria deixar o motor funcionar por um tempo curto, a bateria estava descarregada e deu apenas algumas voltas muito fracas no motor.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Já estava cansado e fiquei um pouco decepcionado por novos problemas surgirem antes mesmo de eu poder dar uma volta tranquila. Acreditava que estava "quase lá". Decidi seguir o conselho do Saldanha, que diz que no momento em que deixar de ser uma atividade de lazer é melhor parar. Resolvi que estava na hora de dar um tempo.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Aproveitei para me dedicar as pendencias que tinha com o apartamento (resolvi montar, eu mesmo, alguns dos móveis), casamento e também descansar alguns finais de semana. Decisão acertada, pois já estou sentindo falta de gastar mais algumas horas na restauração. Mas talvez ela tenha que esperar, a proximidade do casamento está fazendo com que eu precise dedicar-me a resolver algumas questões. O trabalho também está um pouco mais "puxado" e trabalhei durante&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Neste último domingo levei as peças para a empresa, mas, como estava com pouco tempo e sozinho, não pude instalar o dínamo. O filtro de gasolina que havia sido jateado estava começando a oxidar na parte externa, que não está coberta de resina. Aproveitei para limpar com uma escova de aço e aplicar uma camada de &lt;i&gt;wash primer&lt;/i&gt;. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Os pneus ainda não baixaram desde a última vez que calibrei, faz uns 2 meses, ou alguma boa alma está mantendo-os calibrados.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
No sábado eu fiz um teste com o dínamo, aparentemente ele está funcionando. Pelo menos consegui acender uma lâmpada com a energia gerada por ele. Vou me esforçar para montar neste próximo final de semana. Ainda quero verificar se o regulador de voltagem está funcionando, pois estou com medo que ele possa ser a causa do problema com o dínamo. Quando chegamos, o Luciano, que está novamente em Curitiba, já estava aguardando.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Colocamos o escapamento no lugar, mas acabou demorando mais que o previsto e não foi possível soldar tudo no tempo que tínhamos disponível. Por conta disso precisaremos termina-lo amanhã.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Durante a tarde eu e o&amp;nbsp; Luciano aproveitamos para retirar o dínamo da comando e o motor de arranque do Studebaker. Também prendemos 2 braçadeiras que estavam soltas na linha de combustível dianteira.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Abrimos o dínamo e realmente está queimado e precisará ser enrrolado. Estou preferindo recuperar o que já tenho. O problema é que não sabia como iria adaptar filtro moderno dentro dele, também não encontrei um elemento filtrante antigo para colocar no mesmo lugar.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Como estaria trabalhando sozinho novamente, não poderia mexer com o dínamo. O escape novo está pronto, mas as abraçadeiras necessárias para instala-lo ainda não.&amp;nbsp; Então não restou muito a fazer a não ser trabalhar com o filtro.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Escolhi para esta primeira experiência o filtro mais barato disponível no posto de gasolina que parei, um investimento de R$6,50, e fui até a oficina. Desmontei o filtro e ví que a solução é aparentemente simples. O filtro tem um furo na parte superior por onde o combustível sai, e o restante e fechado.&amp;nbsp; Comecei aumentando este furo, pois ali eu preciso passar o parafuso que fecha o filtro da comando.&amp;nbsp; No outro lado, abri um furo do mesmo diâmetro do parafuso e pronto. Encontrei alguns anéis de borracha para vedar os pontos de contato do filtro e pronto.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Deixei o filtro com o Agostinho, ele vai fazer o favor de jatear o interior do filtro e fechar os furos com solda. Depois faremos o mesmo tratamento aplicado ao tanque de gasolina. Isso deve garantir que a gasolina não irá atacar o metal novamente.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Aproveitei para medir a pressão do pneu que eu havia "consertado" na semana passada. Não é que ainda está com a mesma calibragem! Meu remendo, feito com uma pasta de vedação meio ressecada que encontrei funcionou. Agora posso ficar um pouco mais tranquilo com o pneu, sem medo de encontra-lo rasgado.&lt;br /&gt;

A fresta é minima, mas foi suficiente para encaixar. Conectei o flexivel novo entre a linha e a bomba, e já dexei os flexiveis que ligam ao filtro montados no lugar. A última peça que falta agora é o filtro de combustível. O meu está furado e sem o elemento filtrante. Comprar um novo é um pouco caro e ainda estou estudando se consigo uma solução "caseira" para o problema.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Montada a linha de combustível, aproveitei para desmontar o pneu trazeiro direito que estava murchando rápidamente. O bico está com problemas e o borracheiro já tentou consertar 2x sem sucesso. Desta vez resolví que eu mesmo faria uma tentativa. Quando fui embora o pneu ainda não estava murcho. Veremos se aguenta cheio até a próxima semana.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Com isso montado, resolvi colocar sobre a viatura a capota e as portas. Quando possível vou fazer uma capota e bancos novos. Por hora como tem ficado muito empoeirado na fábrica e sentar no banco é garantia de sujar a calça. Espero que com a capota "jogada" na viatura a poeira acumule só por fora.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Queria tirar o dínamo para levar arrumar mas, como estava sozinho e ele é muito pesado e o espaço para movimenta-lo é restrito, resolví deixar para outro dia.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

Instalei também o bocal do tanque. Porém quando fui instalar a linha de combustível dianteira deparei com um problema, não consegui colocar a mangueira no local correto de maneira alguma. Talvez seja necessário retirar o radiador, e mais uma série de peças para conseguir acesso ao local correto.&amp;nbsp; Segue uma foto que mostra onde a mangueira ficava originalmente...&lt;br /&gt;

Já faz vários dias que o Luciano e eu temos trabalhado em muitos deles, mas ainda assim faltam muitos. Não consegui cumprir a meta de inaugurar a viatura no 7 de Setembro, principalmente devido ao problema do dínamo e também aos documentos não estarem todos prontos, mas ainda tenho uma lista de coisas para fazer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sábado foi "oficialmente" o último dia que o Luciano pode ajudar. Ele já viajou domingo para resolver as questões dele, depois de muito lutarmos para entender o que estava errado com o dínamo.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois de apanhar muito do dínamo (que é pesado e difícil de manusear) no sábado, voltei para a empresa hoje com o teste final em mente. Ontem eu havia deixado a bateria carregando uma vez que ela "morreu" porque fazia tempo que não ganhava uma carga.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hoje, cheguei e instalei a bateria no lugar, colocando-a com a moldura e já deixei a caixa da bateria parafusada, como deve ser. Feito isso, montei a mesa de mapa traseira e dianteira. Ontem eu havia deixado as chapas de 18 mm (a que tinha feito antes era de 23 e ficou muito grossa, a que o Luciano cortou, ficou um pouco pequena e eventualmente saia do trilho) já cortadas, então hoje foi só fazer os furos e parafusar a ferragem na traseira. Na mesa dianteira cavei o sulco usando a "makita" e lixei as bordas para ela deslizar melhor.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois do almoço montei o amperímetro para testar o dínamo. Uma das dificuldades que tivemos para testar é que os multímetros que tínhamos em mãos suportavam somente 10 amperes, e o dínamo pode gerar 50, ficamos com medo de queima-los. Para resolver isso e ter uma conclusão definitiva se o problema é o dínamo ou algum outro componente, montei em uma tábua com mais 3 cabos e um amperímetro antigo que tínhamos "tapando furo" do painel antes de iniciar a reforma. Com a engenhoca em mãos, eu pude testar somente o dínamo, com o carro em funcionamento, mas com todos os cabos desligados. A conclusão é que tem um curto circuito no dínamo, pois bastava ligar o dínamo na bateria e além dos cabos esquentarem rapidamente, o amperímetro saltava para 50 amperes negativos de descarga. Uma lâmpada de 60W, não chega a 10.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Feito isso resolvi lubrificar o cardã traseiro, que estava sem graxa nas cruzetas. Por conta das engraxadeiras não estarem no ângulo correto, foi mais fácil tirar o cardã, lubrifica-lo e devolver no lugar. Pretendia trocar o óleo dos diferenciais, mas acabei deixando de lado pois já estava um pouco tarde e fiquei com medo de não conseguir acabar durante o dia.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Aproveitei para cortar e colocar no lugar umas tiras de tecido verde que comprei para colocar entre o capo do motor e a lataria.&lt;br /&gt;

Nas ultimas semanas ajustamos uma série de coisas: O óleo, que estava vazando e agora está resolvido; a instalação elétrica; a tração nas 4; e diversos detalhes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Aproveitamos o dia de hoje, depois de instalarmos algumas peças e resolver uns detalhes da instalação elétrica das lâmpadas traseiras para fazer o motor funcionar e testar a tração 4X4.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ainda precisamos instalar a capota, o escape, retocar alguns pontos da pintura, trocar o lubrificante dos diferenciais, caixa de marchas, engraxar os rolamentos da roda, consertar um pneu que esvazia todos os dias, trocar 1 sealed beam que queimou, as mangueiras do combustível... Será que conseguimos terminar tudo até o 7 de setembro?&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
- Chave para o voltímetro;&lt;br /&gt;
- Conversor 12 -&amp;gt; 6v para o marcador de combustível e luz B.O Drive;&lt;br /&gt;
- Chave para colocar o pisca-pisca na barra de direção.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Encontrei algumas peças que não gostei muito e uma chave para o voltímetro que não serviu no painel.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois dessa busca fui até a empresa e o Luciano já estava trabalhando. Não lembro exatamente em que momento sugeri que a meta deveria ser fazer o motor funcionar, e validar que a parte elétrica está funcionando corretamente.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois de corrigir algumas horas e de corrigir alguns problemas, além de revisar boa parte da fiação conseguimos fazer o motor funcionar.&amp;nbsp; Dai foi o momento de descobrir aonde vazou óleo, água, etc... Precisamos re-apertar diversas mangueiras.&lt;br /&gt;

Uma das travas do para-brisas quebrou, porém já deixei no soldador para que faça o conserto.&lt;br /&gt;

A fiação elétrica do painel está quase pronta, a armação do para brisas está pintada e instalada. Aproveitei que estava por lá e coloquei no lugar as "fechaduras" das portas.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
O filtro foi aberto, veio muito bem embalado dentro de 2 caixas e embrulhado em papel coberto com cera.&lt;br /&gt;

O parafuso quebrou de podre, mas não consegui soltar em 1 mm a porca. No final, acabei substituindo-o.&lt;br /&gt;

O resultado não podia ser diferente, muito progresso.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois de muita preparação e algumas dificuldades, o Luciano conseguiu pintar a carroceria de verde e retocar o tanque de gasolina. Com isso o caminho fica livre para colocar a carroceria no chassi. Ele já aproveitou e montou algumas pequenas peças que fazia muito tempo estavam guardados, como por exemplo, o suporte do espelho retrovisor.Dentro de alguns dias a carroceria deve voltar para seu lugar, sobre o chassi, e então a Dodge volta a tomar forma.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Como tenho acompanhado o trabalho somente pelos relatos e fotos gentilmente enviados pelo Luciano, passeio o dia me questionando se foi possível progredir.&amp;nbsp; Imaginei que ao final do dia a carroceria estaria pintada, porém,&amp;nbsp; a realidade é cruel e algumas atividades da empresa interferiram no trabalho de pintura. O Luciano foi impossibilitado de seguir conforme o plano. Como sempre ele não ficou parado e encontrou outra forma de prosseguir com o bom trabalho que vem fazendo, o que me deixou muito feliz e tranquilo. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
Eu aproveitei para encontrar os buracos corretos para a dobradiça da caixa de bateria e desengripar as fechaduras da tampa traseira. Confirmei que a chave H700 que vou usar no painel e cadeado do pneu reserva abre as fechaduras do porta malas, que são quase certamente originais. Uma delas só precisou de uma limpeza e um pouco de grafite em pó para funcionar. É a dobradiça da caixa de bateria, eu havia encomendado duas, uma para mim e outra para o Saldanha, só veio uma. Uma vez que estamos com o equipamento de solda e todas as tintas na mão, vou ficar com ela para mim, e o Saldanha terá que aguardar mais um pouco.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Novamente, dia de trabalho, o mérito das fotos, descrição e também os resultados do trabalho são todos do Luciano.&lt;br /&gt;

Na sexta o tempo frio e húmido continua interferindo na pintura. As primeiras mãos de tinta nas peças maiores foram aplicadas. Finalizar ainda não é possível.&lt;br /&gt;

Na quinta feira, algumas peças ainda não tinham sido totalmente cobertas com fundo. Foi aplicado.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O tempo bastante frio e húmido (chuva fina ao longo do dia e noite) tem interferido no trabalho, foram pintadas as primeiras mãos na parte inferior das peças e carroceria com tinta verde, porém não é possível finalizar, pois a tinta fica levemente esbranquiçada. A cor é apropriada para esconder o vermelho, porém precisaremos aguardar para dar a ultima mão de tinta com a cor certa.&lt;br /&gt;

Ontem quando cheguei recebi uma caixa, dentro dela estavam os cabos de acelerador de mão e afogador, com a "empunhadura" de metal. No primeiro pedido eu recebi as de plástico indevidamente, e o John da Midwest military enviou os corretos depois que reclamei.&amp;nbsp; O acabamento dos cabos não é do mesmo padrão do feito pela MV Spares, e a tinta é um pouco diferente. Mesmo embrulhado em plastico, a tinta já veio um pouco lascada. No final do trabalho, se o Luciano ainda tiver paciência, podemos antes de instala-los dar uma mão de tinta.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hoje, acabaram as férias, mas tive que faltar o trabalho. Ontem a noite o pessoal da construtora informou que a caixa iria avaliar os apartamentos hoje pela manhã e que teria uma vistoria. Precisei ir até o apartamento e combinei com o chefe de só trabalhar amanhã. Aproveitei o final da manhã e parte da tarde, para terminar um trabalho que preciso entregar amanhã, almocei lá pelas 15 e depois estudei para uma prova do MBA que teria hoje. Depois da prova, fui atrasado, para a primeira reunião de condomínio. Sem janta, comi um cachorro quente na rua. O clima da cidade ajudou a esfriar a cabeça, e os pés e mãos e tudo mais...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O Luciano, que vinha deixando as fotos e relatos por minha conta é que enviou as fotos de hoje. Disse o trabalho com a solda e retoques, aplicou o fundo nos retoques e peças que ele deu acabamento. Também colocou o dínamo no lugar.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Pretende começar a pintura. Imagino que ele vai precisar, também, durante a manhã fosquear algumas peças e somente no final do dia de sexta ou sábado é que carroceria volta para o lugar.&lt;br /&gt;

Durante a manhã engraxei tudo que precisava desta graxa exceto o eixo dianteiro e o cardã trazeiro, que ainda não está instalado. Tive que sair as 11 pois tinha um compromisso.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois do almoço voltei e pretendia engraxar o eixo dianteiro. Peguei as ferramentas necessárias e acabei com 1/2 kg de graxa em um dos eixos e nada de "vazar" conforme indicado no manual. Comprei mais um 1kg de graxa e depois de mais um pouco de trabalho consegui completar o eixo direito. Muitas bombadas depois e 1kg de graxa depois, consegui completar o lado esquerdo também. Aproximadamente 1,5 kg de graxa somente para o eixo. Espero que tenha ficado tudo certo. Segui as instruções do manual, mas o ponto onde vazou não era o mesmo que eu esperava. Pode ser que ainda falte um pouco de graxa para completar, mas pelo menos "seco" garanto que não está mais.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Para completar o dia, troquei a válvula do pneu que ainda insistiu em vazar. Preventivamente eu havia deixado o chassi calçado, então desta vez o pneu não baixou muito, mas estava sem pressão alguma.&amp;nbsp; Calibramos o pneu e amanhã veremos o resultado.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;Aproveitamos os últimos minutos do dia para completar o óleo do motor. Um pouco menos de 5 lts de oleo SAE 40. O indicado no manual é o SAE 30, porém este óleo não está disponível no mercado...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Dos 39 itens que o manual indica que precisam ser verificados e lubrificados realizei somente 14.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ainda falta lubrificar uma dezena de pontos com óleo do motor. Preciso encontrar a graxa correta para a bomba de água. trocar o óleo da caixa de transferência, transmissão, diferenciais. Engraxar com graxa n.2 os rolamentos...&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O Luciano ainda não se cansou de preparar a carroceria. Está sendo muito cuidadoso e esta deixando tudo "zerado". Hoje, ele soldou e lixou diversos pontos onde haviam pequenas trincas e outros defeitos. Quando planejei que usaria minhas férias para trabalhar na comando, meu plano era "jogar uma tinta por cima". Ele se comprometeu a me ajudar, mas jamais imaginei que iriamos desmontar tudo e consertar tantos detalhes. O que está sendo feito é um serviço completíssimo que vai muito além do que eu imaginava possível fazer.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mais um dia sem fotos. As soldas, lubrificação e troca de válvulas dos pneus são praticamente imperceptíveis nas fotos.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

O final do dia, a pós-graduação. Entre 10:30 e 16:30 algumas coisas para a comando.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;Cheguei e os pneus estavam baixos novamente, ví que todos haviam perdido bastante pressão. Troquei as valvulas dos pneus, tomando o cuidado de calçar a comando antes de esvaziar o pneu para eles não baixarem. Aparentemente, 3 pneus não perderam pressão durante o dia. Amanhã cedo verifico novamente. É um detalhe pequeno, mas importante. Com a dificuldade para conseguir um pneu novo é preciso muito cuidado com os que estão instalados nela. Com o final das minhas férias, preciso estar tranquilo que eles não ficaram com pouca pressão depois de alguns dias sujeitando os pneus a mais rasgos e rachaduras. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois do almoço sai comprar o óleo e graxa para lubrificar a comando. Será bom aproveitar que ela está sem a carroceria para fazer toda a lubrificação mais facilmente.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Depois que comprei o óleo, mais tinta, lixas e thinner, retornei e ajudei o Luciano a fosquear algumas peças.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
