From Andrew Spivey/GatorCountry.com

Jacksonville linebacker Daniel McMillian committed to Florida on Thursday afternoon, giving the Gators their third commitment for the 2013 class just one day after National Signing Day 2012 netted 23 new signees for Will Muschamp’s squad.

“I committed to Florida today,” McMillian said in a text message. “If you ain’t a Gator then you Gator bait lol.”

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker from First Coast High School choose Florida over Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and many others. McMillian had 20 Division I offers to date.
From Stephen Spiewak/MaxPreps.com

Yulee c/o 2013 RB Derrick Henry's verbal pledge to Georgia last Friday night surprised both Bulldogs coaches and fans alike. It also shocked Yulee head coach Bobby Ramsay.

"It took me by surprise," Ramsay said on Monday. "I think it was something that he and the other kids from this area (Bolles OL John Theus, Camden County Brice Ramsey) had talked about and maybe a couple days before. I expected them to be a school he certainly could end up at and could be down the wire for him. I didn't expect him to make a decision so soon."

When Ramsay spoke with Henry, it was clear to him that Henry felt comfortable in Athens. He bonded with Bulldogs assistant Bryan McClendon, responsible for Georgia's running backs, the position Henry hopes to play.

"He kept telling me, Coach, it feels like home, where I want to be.'"
Buzz: “Northrup is a very active player against the run using his exceptional athleticism to make plays all over the field. Has the size for the outside linebacker position at the major level of competition. This prospect has the wrap tackling skills to be productive early on as a special teams.” -ESPN Recruiting/ESPN.com

“Northrup has ideal size and we expect him to get even bigger once in a college weight room. There is no doubt that Northrop can get into the 235-240 pound range. He will be big enough to handle taking on offensive lineman. He has the ability to shed a block and make a play behind the line of scrimmage. As he gets bigger and stronger his performance on the field will improve as well. We also like that Northrop is versatile enough to play all three linebacker positions. He can come up and play the run or drop into coverage and cover a tight end or receiver.” -Charles Fishbein/EliteScoutingServices.com

1stCG Extra: Thomas Sirk has something to prove in his senior season and it is to show colleges that he can be an elite QB at the next level . After playing WR most of his junior year, Sirk is dedicated at working on his skills at the QB position. He has decent size to play QB at 6’2. Sirk zips the ball out of his hand with his quick release and being an athlete helps him stretch the pocket when needed. With a full year as QB under his belt next season Sirk will be a steal for the college that gets his commitment.
At 6'0", 265 pound, he has an opposing physical presence. Lopez's awesome upper and lower body strength allowed him to dominate opponents all season. We at SST believe that Emilio Lopez is one of the best 2-way linemen in the nation. Fortunately, he'll have his chance to prove us right this fall.” -FootballStarsOfTomorrow.com
From Bud Elliott/TomahawkNation.com

Daniel McMillian is one of the top linebackers in the state of Florida. And he is just a rising junior for First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Florida State, Florida, and Miami have all reportedly offered him. We've said that 2012 is a poor year for linebackers in the state. If there are more kids like McMillan, 2013 is going to be a lot better.

Daniel McMillian shows impressive burst in the clips. His change of direction is solid. If, hypothetically, he were able to sign now, he would likely receive a four-star rating. At 6'2" and 210 pounds, he is physically impressive for a rising junior.
Strong and physical, Kelsy Smith is a disciplined and bruising blocker...a vital component in a strong Bronco ground game. Yet Smith has the quickness, sure hands, and feel for the soft areas in the secondary to be a key player in the passing game as well.” -Mark Ortega/Action Sport Video, Inc
Buzz: This 2012 prospect from Middleburg High School completed his junior year splitting carries in a very talented Bronco backfield, yet accounted for nearly 1,000 yards of offense himself. Utilizing speed and quickness on the edge, Dillon gives his team a great change of pace threat that can also catch passes out of the backfield. With his 3.3 GPA, Donique remains committed in the classroom as well as the weight room. His goals this off season are to add size and strength to his speed and fine tune his blocking game to become the complete football player. -Mark Ortega/Action Sport Video, Inc.

1stCG Extra: Compact size player with quickness. Dillon also is a threat to the defense when catching the football out the backfield.
