I've been meaning to post this clip for a while now.....my mind isn't what it used to be. Life and Samaria thought it would be a good idea to have our meeting on the golf course that sit right behind LIfe's new crib. I was all for it. What you are about to witness is a a possible trailer for what could be the sequel to the movie Disorderlies because while our intentions were good we could have thought our presentation through a bit longer. Life is wearing hospital scrub pants with a polo shirt and receiver gloves since he didn't have the proper gloves for the sport. You will also notice that Sam J is sporting a dashing pair of Panama Jack Shorts with a powder blue polo to compliment the tricked out design of the trouser like garment and then there's me....Until now no one has ever been known to wearing Chuck Taylor Converse onto a golf course....I accept that award. Notice the cuff in the jeans which was a sign of respect for the green to prevent dragging any foreign objects onto the course. We are no Wilshire cadets, but our game is improving.

I like to call this piece: Where the hell did the ball go?

If you had a chance to read this letter from my son to me then I am sure you thought as I did that it couldn't get any funnier than that.....Well...It does. Friday night I was suppose to stop home for a really brief moment before heading out to a show. They say an idle mind is the devil's playground, but I don't think that was the case with my son because not even the devil would tell a kid to do this to himself.

I know the video isn't the greatest it was taken with my Iphone.

Hilarity ensues!!! My 9yr son strikes again & I'm still laughing

So here's the setup:

Last week my son came home with his progress report and he had some less than favorable grades so I restricted him from TV and especially wrestling (he's a fanatic) until he regains his focus. This past Monday was the first day of the floods so my kids were home all day. At one point I called to check on them and my daughter told me that he was watching TV......Violation!! I told her to have him turn it off and "get into those books". Well I guess my disciplinary tactics and me having him lay out his own punishment sometimes prompted him to write me a note.

Here's a visual:

The note was on the banister at the top of the stairs with a belt hanging over the rail. Everything was strategically placed for me to read the note in that very spot.

Here is what he wrote. I like to call this piece "Wupen":

Punishing him after a 5hr commute home was the last thing on my mind and even if I were planning on "beating" him (I DON'T BEAT MY KIDS BY THE WAY) after reading that he would have earned a free pass anyway.

Aside from the gut busting comedy of the note I think it speaks volumes on how he is maturing and owns up to his mistake and was ready to accept his punishment for the violation. Afterwards we sat and watch T.V for a while....I was very proud of him.

I finally got off my island (Paulding County GA) pics of flood....

In case you didn't know I live in Paulding County Georgia, one of the worse hit areas as a result of the flooding in Metro Atlanta. It was a very surreal experience for me because even though I knew we had a thunderstorm that sat over our house for 12hrs (6pm Sunday until 6am Monday) I never imagined seeing what had become of the city.

This is the road that I typical take to work every morning. Underneath this bridge is a creek that on a normal day is about 8-10ft wide and a foot or two deep....not today!

CRAZY!!

This is a neighborhood near a school.

All over the city you see roads that are completely washed away like this one which used to be a train track.

Here's a video of the Highway I use for work going in the opposite direction:

The two cars that you see in that video....a few hours after this video you could only see their roofs.

This road is literally right behind my neighborhood so we are very thankful to avoid flooding. On my 5 hour commute home Monday evening (typically takes a little over an hour) I made it to the other side of this bridge and had to turn around and go an hour out of the way to get to the other side.

This video I took with my Iphone evoked two feelings. The first was amazement and the second was major frustration because this is where my commute home took a bad turn (or 20!). On the left side of the screen is/was a baseball field and public pool. In the distance you can see the roof of the concession stands so that's about 10-11ft of water. On the right side is a business that sells custom sheds and play sets.... That's completely gone! I don't know of any body of water remotely close to location.

Underneath the water seen here is a brand new bridge (I think it's still there) and just like in my neighborhood that was a really small creek that ran underneath it.

Below is a video of the neighborhood next to that bridge shown above: Whoever the lady (CNN news anchor) was she really pissed me off with her mocking jive talk to the black camera man "They are going to the store...I mean the 'sto' to get a 'drank'" anyway that was a sidebar.

The water got deeper on the backside of the subdivision. I had video of that but it was corrupted somehow.

So far I heard estimates of 250,000,000.00 in damage between the 17 counties that were declared disastor areas, but I think that number will go way up. I was tripping about missing money since I couldn't get into the office then I thought about the people who were probably already out of work and lost their cars and houses. In the grand scheme of things what I missed it absolutely nothing compared to these families and the majority of them didn't have flood insurance so they are really in a bad position. Hopefully Sonny "Sonny Boy" Perdue (our governor) and FEMA will take good care of the people and they don't get caught up in a political stage show called stimulus package.

Remember when Hip Hop had a balance? Everything needs a balance even mother earth. We need the Sun just as much as we need the rain. Too much of either can be disaterous. The golden years of Hip Hop had such balance on the commercial side of things. We had PE to balance NWA, we had The 2 Live Crew to balance Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince so on and so forth. Well this artist is one that provided a balance for me. I played this vinyl so much that I rubbed the ink off of the label....

Religion >< Politics...two conversation that never end with a "maybe you're right". I came across this video today and first let me say that I find it suspect enough to say that I think this conversation was staged for the cameras, but it's still disturbing because this really goes on everyday. My military dog tags read Christian non-denominational and this is because even though I came up in holiness church I've always been open minded and curious about all religions. As a teenager I read several books on these religious cultures including the Right Knowledge which I found very interesting i must say.

Getting back to this post...These girls are trying to convince the "Indian one" that her beliefs will lead her to hell. Classic case of the blind leading the blind into a religious battle against someone who is steadfast in her beliefs. I will stop talking now because like the the title reads it will never end.

It was 1980 something and I was putting in a lot of work with my cousins (and the beautiful Carol Ann) for the local talent show at The Blakely G.A Civic Center a.k.a The Cenna. I was prepared to lip sync my ass off to Everybody Say Yeah, but I still needed outfits for the crew.....Maxway downtown! that's the ticket and there was no better unisex material than that of spandex. I was decked out in black spandex with the yellow stripe on the side and the shirt to match. I was COOOLD BLOODED, but this post is not about me it's about Le Juan Love.....Where is he today?

In this 1st of two clips he shows some turntablism I'm assuming he picked up from Dj Scratch and he also shows some Olympic worthy skating when asked about the E.rick A.nd P.arrish M.aking D.ollars break up. 16yrs later it's apparent that E Double was the brains of the organization as he was able to maintain some solo limelight for the majority of seperation, but I am still I fan of the duo first! Pick up the new EPMD album and support the legends of this culture.
