St Malachy and the Prophecy of the Popes 2012

source: Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia

St Malachy or Máel Máedóc Ua Morgair (Modern Irish: Maelmhaedhoc Ó Morgair; 1094 - November 2, 1148) was the Archbishop of Armagh, to whom were attributed several miracles and a vision of the identity of the last 112 Popes. He was Canonized by Pope Clement III, on July 6, 1199, the first Irish Saint to be Canonized.

The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy, is a list of 112 short phrases in Latin. They purport to describe each of the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few anti-popes), beginning with Pope Celestine II (elected in 1143) and concluding with a later added pope described in the prophecy as "Peter the Roman", whose pontificate will end in the destruction of the city of Rome.

Some sources, including the most recent editions of the Catholic Encyclopedia, suggest that the prophecy is a late 16th‑century forgery. Some have suggested that it was created by Nostradamus and was credited to Saint Malachy so the purported seer would not be blamed
for the destruction of the papacy.

Separate doubts are raised about the last entry, describing Petrus Romanus. Some claim that this was first recorded sometime after 1820 and so is often considered not to be part of the original prophecy. If this is true then we are currently on the last Pope. Here are the last few prophecies.

1.

Pope John Paul I(De Medietate Lunae)

"De Medietate Lunae" translates to "of the half-moon". It could also be interpreted as "De Media Aetate Lunae", meaning "of the average age of the moon".

* Albino Luciani, who later became Pope John Paul I, was born in Canale d'Agordo, diocese of Belluno, which name is similar to bella luna or beautiful moon.

* He was elected on August 26, 1978, the day after the moon reached its last quarter, and reigned for 33 days, approximately five days longer than a lunar cycle. He died the day before the new moon.

2.

Pope John Paul II(De Labore Solis)

The prophetic motto corresponding to Pope John Paul II is "De labore Solis", which literally means "Of the Labour of The Sun". But "labores solis" or "travails of the sun" is a common metaphor used to mean solar eclipse.

* Karol Jozef Wojtyła, who later became Pope John Paul II, was born on 18 May 1920, the day of a partial solar eclipse over the Indian Ocean, and buried on 8 April 2005, the day of a rare hybrid eclipse over the south-western Pacific and South America.

"De Gloria Olivae" or "glory of the olive", is the next phrase following "De labore Solis".

* Prior to the papal conclave, this motto led to speculation that the next pontiff would be from the Order of Saint Benedict, whose symbols include the olive branch.

Ominously, the longest and final motto reads:"During the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, the seat will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed his sheep in many tribulations; and when these things are finished, the seven-hilled city will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End."

December 21 2012 – The End Of The World

2010-03-13T06:28:00.000-08:00

Since the beginning of recorded time, people have been thinking about the end of the world and making predictions about how and when it might happen. According to a 2007 article in The New York Times: “Gnostics predicted the imminent arrival of God’s kingdom as early as the first century.” The Shakers thought the world would be over in 1792, while the Jehovah’s Witnesses pegged various years between 1914 and 1994 as an end date.

More recently, some doomsday forecasters have focused on the year 2012. Citing the conclusion of a lengthy cycle in the ancient Mayan calendar, certain theorists anticipate the end of life as we know it on December 21, 2012. These theorists believe that on December 21, 2012, the Earth will experience unprecedented, cataclysmic disasters ranging from massive earthquakes and tsunamis to nuclear reactor meltdowns. In order to prepare for these events, some proponents of the 2012 prophecy have already begun stocking up on survival supplies.

The planet’s major religions each have their own beliefs about the end of the world, the triumph of good over evil and Judgment Day. In Christianity, the Book of Revelation, the last chapter of the Bible’s New Testament, mentions Armageddon, the final battle on Earth between the forces of God and Satan. The word Armageddon is thought to come from the Hebrew for “mount of Megiddo.”

Located in present-day Israel, Megiddo, an ancient, strategically positioned city, was the site of a number of battles. Some Christians interpret the Book of Revelation as a roadmap that lays out exactly how the world will end. They contend that Judgment Day will take place on Armageddon and Jesus will save the true believers, while non-believers left behind will face enormous suffering.

2012: Science or Superstition ( Video Documentary)

2010-03-13T06:19:00.000-08:00

December 21, 2012: the end date of the sophisticated Long Count Calendar created by the ancient Maya in Central America. Countless books and websites, magazine articles and newspaper headlines debate its meaning, with enthusiasts in two camps: those forecasting apocalypse–the end of time–and those who see a coming renewal, a rebirth of consciousness.

Adding fuel to the debate, some scientists see the increasing number of natural disasters in recent years as evidence of a catastrophic climax of events in 2012. How much of what we’re hearing is science and how much is superstition? In this film the leading researchers, writers and scientists in the field tell us exactly what this date means to them, why it’s important, and what we should expect.

Featured in the film are Graham Hancock, John Major Jenkins, Daniel Pinchbeck, Alberto Villoldo, Anthony Aveni, Robert Bauval, Jim Marrs, Walter Cruttenden, Lawrence E. Joseph, Alonso Mendez, Douglas Rushkoff, John Anthony West and Benito Vegas Duran.

Cracking the Maya Code

2010-03-13T06:09:00.000-08:00

This one-hour program is divided into five chapters. The Forgotten Maya Temples. In 1774, Spanish explorer Jose Calderon rediscovers the temples of Palenque and the ancient hieroglyphs of the Maya, a people whose culture was decimated by the Spanish conquistadors.

A Hidden History. Toiling away in the basement of Harvard’s Peabody Museum, archeologist Tatiana Proskouriakoff discovers that Maya monuments contain a decipherable history rather than mere pictures and symbols.

Political Roadblock. Working behind the Iron Curtain, Russian linguist Yuri Knorosov posits that Maya glyphs may represent sounds, but his ideas are discredited in the West.

Child’s Play. David Stuart submits his first scholarly paper on glyphs at age 12 and later becomes a major player in Maya studies with his advances in script decipherment.

Cultural Revelations. An image of the ancient Maya comes to life, and their descendants in modern-day Mexico and Central America begin to relearn their lost language and history.

Mystery of the Maya ( Video Documentary)

2010-03-13T05:57:00.000-08:00

It’s hard to believe that while the European continent was entrenched in the horrors of the Dark Ages, the Mayan culture was thriving. Not only did the Mayans create a complicated written language, they had far exceeded the Europeans in their study and mapping of the stars and planets, mathematics, and architecture. What happened to the Mayan people? How did they come to be? Why was this isolated culture so advanced? These questions and many others are explored in The Mystery of Maya.

Originally shot in the IMAX format, this film was intended to make the viewer feel as if they were actually creeping through the jungles of Mexico and Guatemala until finally coming upon the great Mayan ruins. Directors Brian Howells and Robert Rochin Naya take their cameras and crew to several of the major Mayan ruin sites to investigate and see what clues and insights can be found.

Actress Susan Glover narrates this adventure documentary, giving needed commentary on the locales and practical purposes of the structures that are seen. Larry Crosley and Dario Domingues provide the musical score. (Barnes & Noble)

Web Bot Project Predictions and 2012

2010-03-13T05:18:00.000-08:00

source: www.faqgo.com by Mary Joah

Maybe some of you have heard of The Web Bot Project, but for those of you who have not, it’s quite intriguing.

The Web Bot Project, developed in the late 1990’s, was created to assist in making stock market predictions.

The technology uses a system of spiders to crawl the Internet and search for keywords, much like a search engine does. When a keyword is located, the bot program takes a snapshot of the text preceding and following the keyword. This snapshot of text is sent to a central location where it is then filtered to define meaning.

The projects concept is aimed at tapping into the “collective unconscious” of the universe and it’s inhabitants. As well, there is an interesting time concept involved and an unusual concept of a “tipping point” regarding the past, current, and future times. It goes a bit deeper than viewing what those of us on the Internet are saying.

But in 2001, bot operators began to notice that stock market predictions were not the only matters being accurately predicted by the program. They began to take notice of coincidence with occurrences and explored it further.

One of the first accurate predictions from the bot program took place in June of 2001. The program predicted that a life altering event would take place within the next 60-90 days. An occurrence of such proportion that it’s effects would be felt worldwide. The program based it’s prediction on “web chatter” which ultimately represents the collective unconscious of society.

Regrettably, the bot program’s prediction proved accurate and the Twin Towers fell on 9/11/2001.

Here’s where it starts to become very interesting. The bot program also predicts a worldwide calamity taking place in the year 2012.

Dire Web Bot Predictionssource: www.coasttocoastam.comHere are some of their web bot predictions for the remainder of 2008, 2009, 2012 (and beyond):

2008 - In late March, look for massive unemployment to take hold.
2008 - During the summer, a backlash against the US government could involve a call to hold the elections early.
2008 - As the housing industry continues its collapse, there could be a seizure or lock-up of the ability to transfer property.
A "fuzzy revolution" could involve squatters or collectives moving into empty or foreclosed homes.
2008 - In October, there'll be a major stock market crash or a climate event that has a disastrous effect on the economy.
2008 - There could be a major bank failure, possibly involving a foreign bailout that is reneged upon.
2008 - 2 Earthquakes or Tsunami possible in December.
The governments are quietly preparing for untold future calamity while focusing media attention way from earth's real problems to trivial aspects such as politics and popular culture.
2009 - Well known people will start suddenly disappearing without explanation.
2009 - Earthquakes may damage dams and/or much unprecedented flooding may occur.
2009 - People in rural areas will begin arming themselves heavily and hoarding weapons and ammunition.
2009 - Spring or Summer - A "global coastal event" or process (possibly a tidal change) will involve a rise in sea levels that will knock out oil refineries and severely hamper sea ports.
2009/10/25 : A big crisis is kicked off. It could be that Israel bombs Iran, or that Swine Flu goes into a level of extreme lethality. 10 days later, in relation to this crisis, the Obama administration will be thrown into chaos. When Israel bombs Iran, they'll use a nuclear-tipped bunker buster that will hit something unforeseen underground. As a result, a radioactive cloud will form that will pollute and sicken Southeast Asia. This will cause much of the world to turn against Israel.
2010/??/?? : The "Death of the Dollar" will be a continuing trend, with a hyper inflationary period and banking crises/confidence losses that will begin in August 2009.
2010/08/?? : In South America, they'll be large or mass sightings of UFO-related phenomena. A video crew will interview an escapee from an internment facility. The young bald man will later be revealed to be a "non-Terran" human.
Sustainable living will be the only way to survive the upcoming economic change and food shortages.
2011/04/?? : "Global Coastal Phenomena" will be gradual, the situation could be disturbing for many people. Unusual movements of the Moon brought on by anomalies in the magnetosphere could cause coastal disruptions.
2011/05/?? : The magnetosphere problems could lead to ultraviolet scorching of food crops. Grain crops will fail, mainly in the Northern Hemisphere, leading to food riots in the winter/spring. Specifically, they'll be riots in Rome that will spill over into the Vatican.
2011 - Extra-terrestrial aliens presence and/or warfare possible.
There will be an untimely demise for millions by 2012, brought upon by some combination of pandemics, economic collapse, breakdown of health care and unknown energies from space.

Galactic Alignment And 2012

2010-03-13T05:03:00.000-08:00

source: www.alignment2012.com by John Major Jenkins

The Galactic Alignment is the alignment of the December solstice sun with the Galactic equator. This alignment occurs as a result of the precession of the equinoxes.

Precession is caused by the earth wobbling very slowly on its axis and shifts the position of the equinoxes and solstices one degree every 71.5 years. Because the sun is one-half of a degree wide, it will take the December solstice sun 36 years to precess through the Galactic equator (see diagram left).

The precise alignment of the solstice point (the precise center-point of the body of the sun as viewed from earth) with the Galactic equator was calculated to occur in 1998 (Jean Meeus, Mathematical Astronomy Morsels, 1997).

Thus, the Galactic Alignment "zone" is 1998 +/- 18 years = 1980 - 2016. This is "era-2012."

This Galactic Alignment occurs only once every 26,000 years, and was what the ancient Maya were pointing to with the 2012
end-date of their Long Count calendar

These are the astronomical facts of the matter. From a larger perspective, we can visualize the 2012 Galactic Alignment in the following way:

Position A is where the December solstice sun was in relation to the Milky Way some 3,000 years ago. Position B is 1,500 years ago. And position C is "era-2012", when the December solstice sun has converged, as a result of the precession of the equinoxes, with the exact center-line of the Milky Way (the Galactic equator). Notice that the place of alignment is where the 'nuclear bulge' of the Galactic Center is located.

Glossary:

The ecliptic: The path followed by the sun, moon, and planets. It is the plane of our solar system. The ecliptic encircles the earth and is divided into twelve constellations, or zodiac signs.

The Milky Way: The bright band of star that our solar system belongs to. It encircles the earth and is wider in the region of Sagittarius because that is where the 'nucelar bulge" of the Milky Way's center is located (our Milky Way is saucer shaped).

The Galactic equator: The precise mid-line running down the Milky Way. Analogous to the earth's equator, it divides the galaxy into two hemispheres, or lobes.

The Dark Rift in the Milky Way: A feature caused by interstellar dust that runs along the Milky Way from the Galactic Center northward past the constellation of Aquila.

The December solstice sun: The sun, on the December solstice. It is one-half of a degree wide.

The December solstice point: The precise midpoint of the sun, on the December solstice.

The Precession of the equinoxes: The earth wobbles very slowly on its axis and this causes the position of the equinox to shift backwards, or precess, through the signs of the ecliptic at the rate of one degree every 71.5 years. The full precessional wobble is complete in roughly 25,800 years.

The vernal equinox point is defined by the intersection of the ecliptic and the celestial equator.

The Celestial Equator: The earth's equator projected into the stars. It is the plane of the earth's rotation.

The Cross formed by the Milky Way and the ecliptic: Exactly as stated. There are two of these, one in early Sagittarius, the other in early Gemini. The former cross has the virtue of being located within the nuclear bulge of the Galactic Center.

The nuclear bulge / the Galactic Center: A bright and wide region of the Milky Way, visible to the naked eye and between Sagittarius and Scorpio. The more precise and abstract center-point of the nuclear bulge is the precise Galactic Center, located at about 6 degrees Sagittarius (sidereal) and 27 degrees in the tropical zodiac.

Additional Glossary of Mayan Calendar termsWe can have a more general discussion of galactic alignments in history if we consider that the solstice axis aligns with the galactic equator every half precession cycle. Likewise, the equinox axis aligns with the galactic equator every half precession cycle. Thus, galactic alignments, more generally speaking, occur in era 2012 (1980 - 2016) and every quarter precession cycle before and after era 2012.
In terms of Mayan astronomy and mythology, the Dark Rift feature (which the Maya called the Black Road or Xibalba be) lies along the galactic equator (the Milky Way) in the place where the December solstice sun will be in 2012. (More precisely, the December solstice sun will reach the southern terminus of the Dark Rift, where it touches the ecliptic in Sagittarius.) Thus, in terms of Mayan mythology, we can also describe the Galactic Alignment of era-2012 as the alignment of the December solstice sun and the Dark Rift. This entire region is targeted by the cross formed by the Milky Way and the ecliptic between Sagittarius and Scorpio. This Cross was also recognized by the Maya, and was called the Crossroads or Sacred Tree. This entire region is embraced by what astronomers call the 'nuclear bulge' of the Galactic Center—the center of our Milky Way galaxy. As any amateur astronomer or naked-eye star gazer knows, this nuclear bulge is recognizable without the aid of radio telescopes. It is wider and brighter than other parts of the Milky Way. So, in a general sense we can also say that the alignment in 2012 is an alignment between the December solstice sun and the Galactic Center. However, since the nuclear bulge is quite large, this definition is not as precise as saying "the alignment of the December solstice sun with the Galactic equator", which occurs in the range 1980 - 2016. This is the alignment zone I refer to with the term "era-2012."

The Bible Code 2012

2010-03-13T04:48:00.000-08:00

This Bible Code interpretation clearly shows earth annihilated by a comet in 2012, or
the Jewish year 5772. This prediction was from the book Bible Code II by M. Drosnin.

The Bible Code is a best-selling controversial book by Michael Drosnin, first published in 1997. A sequel, The Bible Code II, was published in 2002 and also reached best-seller status.

Drosnin describes an alleged "Bible code", in which messages are encoded in the Hebrew bible. The messages are purported to be hidden in the Torah, and can be deciphered by placing the letters of various Torah passages at equal intervals in a text that has been formatted to fit inside a graph .

Drosnin suggests that the Code was written by extraterrestrial life (which he claims also brought the DNA of the human genetic code to Earth). Drosnin elaborates on this theory in The Bible Code II, suggesting that the alien who brought the code left the key to the code in a steel obelisk. Drosnin attempted to find this obelisk, which he believes is buried near the Dead Sea.

Drosnin's book is based on the technique described in the paper "Equidistant Letter Sequences in the Book of Genesis" by Professor Eliyahu Rips of the Hebrew University in Israel with Doron Witztum and Yoav Rosenberg.
Sir Isaac Newton taught himself Hebrew and spent decades searching for the code he believed was to be found in the Torah, or old testament of the Bible.

The Bible Code makes numerous predictions and post-diction, such as the coming (at the time of the writing) of the
apocalypse in 2006, and "proof" that Lee Harvey Oswald was destined to assassinate John F. Kennedy.

Drosnin's most famous prediction, in 1994, was the 1995 assassination of Israeli Prime Minister, Yitzhak Rabin, using a Bible code technique. Drosnin made every effort to warn Prime Minister Rabin of the assassination, bu to no avail. Drosnin uses this prediction as evidence for the validity of his bible code techniques.

In this image, taken from the actual Bible
Code used, you can see Amir, the actual
assassin, will assassinate Yitzhak Rabin.

2012 And Hinduism – How Hindu religion and astrology is reacting to 2012

2010-03-13T04:31:00.000-08:00

Lot of predictions and discussions are going on around the world regarding the year 2012. Primarily, the calendar of the Mayans (Ancient Maya Civilization of South America) ends on December 21, 2012). People are also now trying to find a connection between Kali Yuga and 2012. Some astrologers are predicting that Kali Yuga will end in 2012 and Satya Yuga will begin from December 21, 2012.

Recently an astrologer and modern day guru Dattatreya Siva Baba while addressing public in Chennai said this about 2012:

The world is changing for the good now, he says. Joining the increasing numbers who are making predictions about 2012 A.D. he says from the December of that year, the world will move into a golden age, marking the beginning of Satya Yuga.

This is not a smooth process though. There will be natural calamities, financial problems, wars and global warming. This is also the time when Mayans end their calendar.

‘But our old ways of thinking, including our biology will change as the Sun, Earth and Pleides line up in space. This will cause an increase in discharge of photons from the sun which is bound to cause changes in our brain pattern,’ he says. (expressbuzz)

We will get to hear many more such comments on 2012 in the coming days. Currently one of the most popular theories going around is connecting 2012 to Kali Yuga.

In Hinduism, the universe begins in the Satya Yuga and ends in the Kali Yuga. There are total four Yugas. And the cycle – creation and destruction – is repeated.

Satya Yuga lasts for 1,728,000. Treta Yuga lasts for 1,296,000. Dwapara Yuga lasts for 864,000 and Kali Yuga for 432,000.

It is widely believed that Kali Yuga began in 3102 B.C.

Now there are several people quoting Puranas to indicate that Lord Krishna had predicted an end the Kali Yuga after 5000 years and the beginning of the Golden Era.

But traditional scriptures do not agree to this as Kali Yuga will last for 432,000 years.

Now those who are stating that Kali Yuga will end after 5000 years are indicating the beginning of Golden Age in 2012. They are scrupulously using a mix of solar and lunar calendars used by Hindus to suggest that Kali Yuga will end in 2012.

The widely accepted belief of Hindus is that Kali Yuga will see total annihilation. Creation will once again begin after total destruction. This will be Satya Yuga.

So connecting 2012 to Hinduism and Vedic astrology is done by those people who want to create fear and optimism at the same time among people – and earn a living by predictions and writing books.

Hinduism teaches that all animate and inanimate is Brahman. Doomsday predictions and 2012 are products of ego or ignorance, which hampers self realization. To the realized there is no beginning and end.

Planet X / Nibiru / Wormwood And 2012

2010-03-12T22:36:00.000-08:00

The Planet X Nibiru 2012 theory is a supposed clash between our planet Earth and an extremely large planet. Many people believe this will take place in the early 21st century. The Term Planet X Niburu 2012 has been linked to the doomsday prediction of December 21st, 2012. You will often here this doomsday event referred to as simply 2012, Planet X or Nibiru.

Where did this theory, conspiracy, prediction, prophecy, whatever you perceive it to be come about? The idea came about back in 1995 by a woman by the name of Nancy Lieder. Nancy supposedly had the ability to receive extra-terrestrial messages through an implant in her brain and states she was instructed to give a warning to mankind about Planet X Nibiru 2012. She noted that Planet X Nibiru would cause a pole shift that would destroy all of humanity. This prediction has been sweeping the internet and has now been heavily linked to the year 2012.

Planet X Nibiru 2012 is being described as roughly four times the size of the earth. Lieder said Nibiru would be closest to earth in 2003, needless to say that did not happen. Later she claimed she lied about the exact date to create an awareness of the coming of Nibiru in later years, roughly in mid-2010.

Many believers of the existence of Nibiru is Being covered up by the government and NASA. One specific incident occurred at the IRAS space observatory when they reported that an unknown object being described as a giant planet was found so close to Earth that it would be a part of our solar system.

Hopi Prophecy 2012

2010-03-12T22:21:00.001-08:00

source: Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia

"I am White Feather, a Hopi of the ancient Bear Clan. In my long life I have
traveled through this land, seeking out my brothers, and learning from
them many things full of wisdom. I have followed the sacred paths of my
people, who inhabit the forests and many lakes in the east, the land of ice
and long nights in the north, and the places of holy altars of stone built
many years ago by my brothers' fathers in the south. From all these I have
heard the stories of the past, and the prophecies of the future. Today,
many of the prophecies have turned to stories, and few are left -- the past
grows longer, and the future grows shorter.

"And now White Feather is dying. His sons have all joined his ancestors,
and soon he too shall be with them. But there is no one left, no one to
recite and pass on the ancient wisdom. My people have tired of the old
ways -- the great ceremonies that tell of our origins, of our emergence into
the Fourth World, are almost all abandoned, forgotten, yet even this has
been foretold. The time grows short.

"My people await Pahana, the lost White Brother, [from the stars] as do all our brothers in the land. He will not be like the white men we know
now, who are cruel and greedy. we were told of their coming long ago. But still we await Pahana.

"He will bring with him the symbols, and the missing piece of that sacred tablet now kept by the elders, given to him when he left, that shall
identify him as our True White Brother.

"The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been
fulfilled, and so few are left.

1.

"This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the
white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who
took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies
with thunder.

2.

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning
wheels filled with voices.

3.

"This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great
long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White
Feather saw with his eyes -- the coming of the white men's cattle."

4.

"This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron."

5.

"This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant
spider's web."

6.

"This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of
stone that make pictures in the sun."

7.

"This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair
long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their
ways and wisdom.

9.

"And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the
heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a
blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

2012 and Mayan Calendar

2010-03-12T21:56:00.000-08:00

The Solstice on December 21, 2012 ~ precisely at 11:11 AM Universal Time ~ marks the completion of the 5,125 year Great Cycle of the Ancient Maya Long Count Calendar.

Rather than being a linear end-point, this cycle that is closing is naturally followed by the start of a new cycle. What this new cycle has in store for humanity is a mystery that has yet to unfold...

2012 is also considered the completion of the 26,000 year Precession of the Equinoxes cycle, and some say it also signifies the end of a 104,000 year cycle.

As a catalyst in our collective mind, the 2012 code now reflects the convergence of universal wisdom from many cultural and religious prophecies of peoples from around the planet. However, the specific timing originates as a gift from the ancient Maya, the world's supreme timekeepers.

At their peak, roughly 1500 years ago, the Ancient Maya utilized 20 calendars simultaneously - weaving a holistic system that tracked small cycles and vast cycles. From sunspots, to eras of consciousness, Venus patterns to eclipses, agriculture to prophecy, their calendars unite biological, physical cycles with invisible cycles, earth cycles with galactic cycles - using the mathematics of Nature which shows us the microscosm mirrors the macrocosm.

The December 21, 2012 date is specifically referring to the completion of the Ancient Maya's Long Count Calendar, known as the 13 Baktun Cycle, or Great Cycle. The research of John Major Jenkins reveals the Maya birthplace of this calendar system as Izapa, which is located near the Guatemala border in the Mexican State of Chiapas.

According to this calendar, Earth entered a new "creation cycle" on August 11, 3114 BC which is written in long count notation as 13.0.0.0.0. This cycle is 1,872,000 days long, and every day from that beginning point was measured in terms of Mayan cycles called kin, uinal, tun, katuns and baktuns. Many ancient Mayan monuments are carved with long count dates as this is the way they tracked huge cycles of time and kept chronological records of important historical events.

On the Long Count Calendar, December 20, 2012 would be written as 12.19.19.17.19. At the completion of the cycle, December 21, 2012 the cosmic odometer resets and we return to 13.0.0.0.0, coming back to a sacred Zero point, re-birthing into a New Cycle.

B'ak'tun :The Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is a non-repeating base-20 and base-18 calendar used by the Maya. For this reason, it is sometimes known as the Maya (or Mayan) Long Count calendar.

"According to the Popol Vuh, a book compiling details of creation
accounts known to the K'iche' Maya of the Colonial-era highlands,
we are living in the fourth world. The Popol Vuh describes the first
three creations that the gods failed in making and the creation of the
successful fourth world where men were placed. In the Maya Long
Count, the previous creation ended at the start of a 13th b'ak'tun.

The previous creation ended on a long count of 12.19.19.17.19.
Another 12.19.19.17.19 will occur on December 20, 2012, followed
by the start of the fourteenth b'ak'tun, 13.0.0.0.0, on December 21,
2012. "

The History channel is taking it another step further by airing a weekly program, showcasing the predictions of nostradamus and current events. Take a sneak peak at the trailer. 2012 will be a focus throughout the series. The end is near. At least that’s what the doomsday predictions from Nostradamus, the Book of Revelation, the Mayan “long count” calendar and others would have us believe. Many unsettling forecasts of global destruction even pinpoint the year: 2012. How worried should we be? If these prophecies are accurate and inevitable, is there any way to avoid or at least postpone them from coming true? Michel de Nostradamus was a 16th-century French physician and astrologer whose very name is synonymous with apocalyptic visions of the near and distant future. His ominous writings appear to have accurately anticipated numerous natural disasters, plagues and wars. Nostradamus Effect examines these and other end-of-time predictions from cultures across the globe, from centuries ago, and connects the dots with current global events to separate the prophecies that appear to be inspired visions from those that are merely crackpot conspiracy theory.

NASA Claims Earth Pole Shift 2012

2010-03-07T03:32:00.000-08:00

For information about polar shift, CLICK HERE

Scientists have been observing changes in the direction of earth’s magnetic field which took place recently as well as in the distant past. NASA’s website features a map showing the gradual northward migration of the north magnetic pole in the past century and a half. The sun reverses its magnetic field like clockwork every eleven years at the peak of the sunspot cycle. The next solar flip is due in 2012.

It is not only the direction but also the strength of this magnetic field that is a concern. In the time of dinosaurs, at an estimated 2.5 gauss, it was eighty percent stronger than it is now. This may have been one of the reasons such gigantic life forms thrived. It is now accepted that a catastrophic event ended the reign of giant reptiles.

Does the magnetic field drop to zero gauss? Dire predictions follow upon the heels of this theory. Electronic devices would all be at risk: there may be damage to, or complete loss of, all near-earth-orbiting satellites and possibly the space station itself. Effects on life forms could range from migrating birds losing their sense of direction to immune system decline and even widespread die-off from radiation-induced cancers.

This event could result in the massive destruction of life on earth. The magnetic field of the earth is not an accident of natural science. Its primary task is to protect the earth against cosmic and solar radiation. Without this field, life is practically impossible and in a short time, life on our planet would be extinguished. An all-burning, deadly radioactive radiation would torment the earth’s surface.

Seven Reasons The World Can End In 2012 – Proven Scientifically

2010-03-07T03:06:00.000-08:00

7 reasons the world will end in 2012

Scientific experts from around the world are genuinely predicting that five years from now, all life on Earth could well finish. Some are saying it’ll be humans that set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it’ll be God himself who presses the stop button…

1. Mayan Calendar

The first mob to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things:

Building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and Sacrificing Virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the Earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it’s likely they’ve got the end of the world right as well.

2. Sun Storms

Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery: our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic, and it’s supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the Earth with so much radiation energy, it’s been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse, and calculations suggest it’ll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012

3. The Atom Smasher

Scientists in Europe have been building the world’s largest particle accelerator. Basically its a 27km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the Universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it’s properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They’re predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

4. The Bible says…

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn’t bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act aswell. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between Good an Evil, has been set down for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

5. Super Volcano

Yellowstone National Park in the United States is famous for its thermal springs and Old Faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple – it’s sitting on top of the world’s biggest volcano, and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we’re many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the Earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

6. The Physicists

This one’s case of bog-simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berekely Uni have been crunching the numbers. and they’ve determined that the Earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they’re claiming their calculations prove, that we’re all going to die, very soon – while also saying their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 percent- and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

7. Slip-Slop-Slap- BANG!

We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that sheilds us from most of the sun’s radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call north and south have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so – and right now we’re about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is underway, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.
