Wee Hamish is 10 today (Death Of The Oil/Power Companies)

Hamish heard his granddad call him ,so grabbed his jacket and leapt down the stairs he loved days out with Tam.

Come on lad ,lets get going ,we have a good 2 hours before we reach the transport museum.

Sitting there Hamish was so happy ,he had wanted to visit the museum to see all the old cars etc and listen to his granddad tell him about when he was younger.. for so long

Toady was special for so many reasons he was 10 “nearly a man” his dad would say ..

Eventually they pulled up to some huge gates and a portly man leant into the car smiled, and handed a small brochure with tickets etc To Tam then stood back .

then the gates slowly began to open .

Tam watched and smiled as Hamish’s eyes nearly fell out.his mouth dropped as if in mid question and frozen it seemed for ever ,

In front of him he could see a huge ship and some massive buildings so much to take in and he could feel the questions bubbling up and turned to Tam

Ok lad ?. aye granddad this is amazing and with that he shot out the car and headed to the strange building with some even stranger looking square things with long pipes hanging of the edge of them.

and the first of many questions

What what what is this place ?

Well,it’s ,what we used to call a garage forecourt ..

you had to pull into it next to those square things and with that he took Hamish over to the car sitting next to one and pulled the hose from its resting place and with a smile opened the flap and inserted it into the hole

What are you doing ?

this is how we used to fill up our cars .

what ?came the next question and face screwed up in total bemusement

well you pressed this and with that some liquid flowed out the pipe and began to fill the tank

with a click ,Tam explained that is it ,full ,

can we have a drive in the car ?

I.m not sure son

then he noticed a sticker

IT IS ILEGAL TO START THIS CAR WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING A LICENCE

did you just drive off then?

Noooo, then we would go to that wee window and pay

What ???????

aye we used to have things called wallets

Wallets??? aye and in it you would carry your cash or card to pay

What ????

Tam looked inside the brochure and found some old fashioned money and with Hamish holding his hand went to the door and with a swoosh they entered and headed to the woman sat behind a desk in the corner

As he handed the money over

What are you doing ????

Well after you filled up as i said you then came here to pay for the fuel ,ahh granddad your just joking that’s silly !!!!

you mean you used to work to get money then hand it over the counter ???

Aye son

wow,you had it rough didn’t you granddad

aye !!!!!!!

Tam asked the lady if they could take the car for a drive and with a face like a slapped arse she grunted “NO”

Hamish looked at her and with a visible change she said

sorry no one has been allowed to start up a petrol car for over 10 years but if you are quick i will let you start it but only for a couple of moments

THANKS MISSES

Tam was pulled out the door towards the car and with the words

hurry granddad ,he looked for the key and turned it

with that the engine roared into life Hamish jumped back completely startled

its ok son

then Hamish gathered himself and went to the rear of the car what’s that he asked ?

puzzled at first then he knew what the boy was pointing to

ahh that is the exhaust pipe

phheeeew it stinks !!!!!! granddad

The woman in the garage started to bang on the window and Tam could see she was scared

So with a smile and a wave he quickly switched the engine off..

Wow Wow

and with the attention span of all children worldwide they were now heading over to two huge steel erections standing alone reaching high into the sky

what, what ,how ,why ,is that ,woooow

eventually Hamish asked what are they granddad ?

Looking up at the old Pylons started to try and explain what they were

He noticed a small board with some pictures attached and explained to Hamish

These are what we used to call Pylons they were all over the countryside and in towns ,there were millions of them and they were used to carry electricity around the country to homes and business’s

see those huge cables stretched across them

Tam looked up and said aye granddad

Tam then saw Hamish look at a single picture and with a familiar face of disgust and with the straight forward talk off a child

he said wow they were so ugly

you all had it rough granddad,, they were so awful stretching out and destroying the views ….

crazy crazy granddad !!!!

Aye son it certainly was crazy

and again Tam noticed a huge Ship and off they went

The ship stretched out in front off them 1/4 mile and longer

Tam guessed the next question and started to explain that these huge ships and there were thousands of them plying the ocean they were used to carry crude oil

and yes they were dangerous and many times they ran aground and destroyed the ocean and the beach and killed millions of birds and wildlife of all kinds

Hamish pointed to some building to the right

they are what we used to call an oil refinery with fake smoke coming out the many chimney’s

He looked at Tam

The boy was just standing there in shock

are you ok lad

no granddad can we go please

this is horrible

i know what you mean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thankfully Humans had stopped and some years ago had started to look around and realise the complete madness of the oil and power companies ,

“energy is all around us and is infinite throughout the universe “

the sheer disregard to the planet and more

Now Hamish and his kids would grow up on a world much cleaner

No more Pylons

No more huge oil tankers

No more oil refinery’s

No more garages

No wind farms

The planet now had changed beyond all recognition

A small project called self power generation had started in Scotland and spread across the world

the idea was simple

that each and every building ,lamppost’s etc etc generated its own power from wind solar and much much more

simple clean and freed us all from the grid and endless power bills which the companies imposed on us all ..

Low energy bulbs not as bright ?????

Are we being ripped off once again by big business ?

why do we have to have bulbs with mercury in them however small the amount?

energy saving bubs are dim in so many ways ,why is it that when i get in my car and switch on my headlights

2 little bulbs can show me the road ?

the headlight bulbs are 12v and about 4 watt strange eh?

we all must stop believing these huge companies and take control ourselves ..

not only is it complete madness to switch to a huge production off these useless bulbs it is also damaging to the earth.

in mercury

a small amount soon mounts up when billions of bulbs are made :

we have to switch from outdated thinking and begin to look to the future in cleaner and clearer way

Switch The Mains Off the only way to make an immediate impact

Self powered homes and buildings the way of the future

so this week turn off the mains if not in the whole house then at least

one room and with solar etc generate light and power the tv etc for free

The major problem facing us all at the moment is out total reliance on power supplied by huge energy companies we have been lead down a deadly dead end by their complete greed and disrespect of mother earth and all her beauty.

There is an abundance of power all around us from the sun to the wind ,the universe is pure energy.

in fact all of us are energy all living souls create power .it is only when we open our eyes and minds will we be free from the abusers the huge oil/power companies……..

For example A simple thing that came to me was the amount of energy created at say a school or a shopping arcade by that mass off people moving through it and how is the shop and school powered ,yes via the mains madness….complete madness

Why not simply install flooring that as you walk on it generates electricity and sends it to a power bank batteries etc (this technology is already here ) and thus by the fact of all those people moving about they will in fact generate the power to light up the very building they are using another public building off the grid

A public swimming bath could simple have small wave generators that send power to the power bank of the pool complex thus ,while everyone is enjoying the day they are in fact taking another building of the grid .so with added solar panels on their roofs and wind turbines not the huge great things we now see jumping up all over wrecking the countryside, but turbines that are blended into the building invisible generation

swim ,shop and walk to save the world ?

We all must come together and switch the mains of,tear down those ugly pylons and say no to the grid and the power companies

We must all start to take control off ,and responsibility for our own power generation via solar wind and the multitude of new technology at our finger tips if we only look beyond those companies and there eternal race for ever more profit.they show us endless tv ads telling US that they are changing nonsense

They still have the same mental block they think that the only way to supply energy is via some enormous grid with all the pylons endless cables and all the transport to keep the grid going .

My belief is that in the future every house and public building will be self sustaining thus doing away with all that cabling

imagine a world without those god awful pylons ,no more tankers travelling our oceans with millions of gallons of crude oil (ticking bombs) that have on many occasions gone off with huge consequences to the environment both animal and planet the true victims in those massive companies endless greed.

No more oil and gas refinery’s

And not to forget one off the main advantages to us all

NO more bills aye imagine never having to work to get money to pay some company to supply you with over priced energy …..

and what a gift to give our children a world cleaner and the countryside rid off all those eye sores our children will we free to explore more of this wonderful life free from the burden of bills

so take control

Turn your home into its very own power system buy solar, wind and above all be creative and we will leave behind a wonderful clean home called EARTH..

another benefit NO MORE WARS OVER OIL.

No country will ever be able to hold another country to ransom

look around us at nature she is telling us all the way ahead ….

as one electric company in my country says “the future is bright” and it will be even brighter without you greedy sods..

we must start to think different and not rely on the state or worse some company

Flying Bobbies/if you have done nothing wrong don’t worry?

Sitting by the window the man couldn’t help but wonder how things had changed almost beyond all belief.and over such a small amount of time…

He had as always been busy during the night getting the day drones ready for that day’s operation..

He had been a helicopter pilot many years ago but the rapid increase in technology had made that way of life redundant both from a monetary and time point of view ..

Now his job was to oversee the drones checking they were air worthy ,ie cameras and guns all ok..

Looking back from the window he settled into his chair along side his 30 fellow officers and looked up at the huge bank of screens

“LAUNCH”

and with that 1500+ drones headed out from the Police headquarters

and into the early morning sun..

From the room they could direct the drones (flying bobbies) to any part of the county

If someone had not paid their parking ticket it was now so simple to punch in their details and the drone would hunt them down via their phone signal or if they were at the local tesco’s buying shopping a signal would be send directly to the drone which would zoom in on them ..

and with people around watching the drone would hover in front and instruct them to procede to the nearest payment station..

once it had dealt with that i could be sent to the motorway to follow people going over the limit and track them to their home issuing a fine ..

In the old days one helicopter could cover a huge range but looking back now that was so stone age ..

BUT as we have always been told if you have done nothing wrong then you have nothing to fear … BULLSHIT the hermit say’s..

took a wee while to answer but hope it makes sense.

All i can say in response is that it is my belief that we must all stop relying on governments ,emergency authorities etc which even now are stretched to breaking point when a crisis occurs..

for example i am laughed at for carrying spares , food ,shovels etc when i go out driving,but i think you must be daft if you travel mountain roads without essentials for your own survival the weather can change so fast ..

Just as the teacher that brought 30 kids to Aviemore in the mountains in t-shirts could have almost through their stupidity caused the death of those kids..

We all have to take control of our own life’s and think for ourselves to start to open our eyes and minds and start to do things in unison with nature..

I often imagine being aboard the Titanic and how i would manage ,and it is my belief that we are all aboard the Titanic and rushing head first to our own iceberg. but as then, some people will survive ..

with regards the cities flooding i think that we will end up with huge cities not un like Venice but on a global scale.

I have seen places flooded and the damage it has caused not to mention the emotional damage to people’s life’s.

But it has always amazed me that the insurance companies move in and if you are lucky they will help to build and replace all the things almost to how they were before

then it happens again and again the cycle repeats itself, madness then the insurance company refuses to cover you anymore…

Surely if you live in a place that has the threat of flooding you have to look at it in a different way, if you live in a flood plain it WILL get wet and throughout the country hosing has been built on ancient flood plains, madness unless you prepare.

why not :

1. Have a boat ready (this could be a simple blow up boat)

2. Tile the lower floor so if you are flooded the water will pass through the house easier ,in cities the first few floors could have this done

3. Move your main living area to the top floor

4. Build houses that rise in floods ,crazy eh ( the Dutch already do this )

5. Make sure you have an emergency pack containing essential supplies. food candles radio solar panel for power etc etc

5 Don’t rely on the massive electric companies as they WILL fail at the time of an emergency

6 Don’t rely on the gas companies as they too will fail also

7. Be prepared that way it isn’t such a shock

I guess that we have to STOP fighting our planet and go with it especially as we are the ones that have and will cause so much damage as the population increases and increases

We live on a planet that is almost 80% covered in water and this will rise therefore by it’s nature land will be reduced throughout the Earth.

so i guess in the future we will have to adapt to living on it or near it in a different way from what we do now.. A global Venice rather beautiful sorry i digressed..

To this dafthermit i just don’t understand so much of what i see ,we live on a special lump of rock in the universe called Earth.

But i believe it is our destiny to travel the universe , on the planet now less then 1% of the people are nomadic , we settle in our wee house and never move ..

People laugh or sneer at travellers in their buses, trucks ,boats etc .

Are you never going to settle ?

No, not while i am still breathing …

But we are all travellers aboard the great ship Earth as she hurtles through space so even the most adamant static soul is in fact travelling faster than they can imagine..

But just as the first person that headed out the cave and wondered across to the forbidden lands with shouts of doom etc ringing in his or her ears,

Ii believe we will one day be ready to head off on the true journey , but i suppose we are not ready looking at the state of things now , and just as you have to have lessons before you can drive a car we have to learn to become a better species before we head of and inflict our crap on another world..

2050 sea level

By 2050 most of our major cities will be under severe attack from rising water levels .

Throughout the modern era we have carried on expanding our cities on the coast, this i believe will cause major problems as we battle to save them, but throughout history we are taught that mother nature will win the battle

The complete disregard and arrogance towards our planet as we are lead by our greed towards bigger and bigger ,and of course the never ending head long race for the profit above all else will as in the past destroy this civilization.

If we were alive at the time of the Roman empire or the Height of the Egyptians ,no one at that time could or would believe that a global power would one day with all their armies and wealth disappear back into the dust and sand..

Why is it then that we in the modern era believe we are so superior to them and the countless civilizations that have come before us.

As on Easter island if taken as a small example of the way we treat the planet they destroyed all the resources which led to major battles between the island tribes.

As when scientists were puzzled by signs of a massive sunami and fallout from a volcano that had spread across the world could not for years find out where it was situated ,they had a rough idea it was somewhere in the yellowstone national park and hunted and hunted for it..

Only when we entered space and with the use of satellites was the answer revealed and the true horror or complete awe visible.

The whole of Yellowstone Park was an immense crater ..

Sometimes we have to take a stand back to really get a picture of what is going on

as is my belief about the rat race not until one day when i said to myself enough did i finally understand the complete madness of it..

Energy local self generated power

Energy Shortage EH ? Local self generated power the way of the future…

We are told constantly to conserve energy save the planet ..

Just a wee thought , but is the universe not full of energy ?

Surely it should be just change the way we create the energy for our use..

I live in a bus miles from the grid but we don’t sit at night in the dark and wait for the rising sun to cast some light on the bus (as some people think..)

I create the energy both from solar and when i go out in the truck by the time i get home i have stored that energy from the journey ..which then runs my laptop and lights for several days

I look at schools where the head teacher complains of elecrticty costs to run the school

BLOODY HELL where is our education going …

He has hundreds if not thousands of kids moving around the building all day , even i can remember all the extra energy i had as a kid ……

Simply tap all that energy into running the school :

You could place simple movement generators under the flooring so as the pupils pass over them electricity is then converted from them moving along the corridor into a storage unit, this then could be used to power computers ,lights etc

also all the doors that are opened and closed all day could be wired to generate electricity

with the resources that we have in our schools in the form of our children we could easily if we wanted to get rid of the electric bill, this then would enable that money to be spent on the kids..

this same idea i believe will one day ensure all our public buildings are energy free

And if we all take control of our own homes instead of relying on massive power companies we will also benefit from free clean power.. NO ELECRTIC BILL …..

In the future people will look at us with our massive pylons and power stations etc etc in total disgust that we allowed it to happen ,all there to enable the customer to switch on the kettle.. and watch coranation street..

As people head to the supermarket the very act of shopping as we wonder up and down the isles again generates energy if you don,t believe me just watch my wife Mel fly round the shop looking for goodies..

Drive down any motorway and see the lights after lights powered by some company

why not use the energy from all the passing cars to power the lights simple

free and no need for cables

A land free of Pylons , wind farms ,tidal barriers etc EDEN…

2050 thoughts from the dafthermit

The world by the year 2050 will have changed beyond all our wildest dreams & fears , we are going to face enormous issues both moral and practical that we have never as a spices had to face ,but throughout our time now ,we watch films created by talented writers and directors and marvel as science fiction is turned ever quicker into our everyday reality ,the speed of so called progress is both frightening as well as awe inspiring .

We joke that when you buy some high tech gadget in a shop by the time you get it home and unwrapped it is already out of date ….

The damage we have caused mother earth WILL come to haunt our children and their children’s children just as those children of the future are already racking up enormous debt before they are even thought off ,

which to this old dafthermit is hard to understand that we can be so selfish as to live a life of take and more take and sod the future..

I have not been blessed with a child but i find it hard to take in as i watch the endless greed of our generation both in the rape of mother earth and all her bounty and beauty..

I watch and listen to people far more educated than myself spout complete and utter crap…

They use words to tell us it is ok to carry on living this way and everything will be ok ,nonsense

The kids of the near future will have to visit virtual zoos to see the wonders that how ever precariously still manage to survive today on our amazing planet

the thought that no tigers elephant and all the way down to small butterflies will disappear is truly sad beyond words

But as has always been the case life will find a way but it is my belief that NATURE WILL teach us all a very hard lesson..

In The Year 2050

This is some of my thoughts on where we will be as humans by the time the year 2050 is here..

I think as we draw further and further away from nature our arrogance will lead us to a world I am glad I will not be around to see.

Technology as we all see both good and bad has enveloped all our life's and as we grow to depend on it more and more the true effects of this will become ever more apparent as time goes by.

If we simply stepped back 100 years with the knowledge we have at our finger tips and tried to explain what was coming and what we would be able to do in the next 100 years we would be laughed out the room or worse..

The world we live in now changes almost daily, with new medicines and technology being announced the sheer speed of it all sweeps us all along , never having the time to stop and question and if you do ,you are looked at and shouted down as an old dinosaur ,progress progress is shouted louder and louder , but maybe one day we will under stand that progress can be achieved by stepping sideways as well as back on some occasions..

I believe that our sheer drive towards the body beautiful and longer life will lead us down the path of true horror .

I believe by the 2050's we will be transplanting the human brain as commonly as we now transplant hearts ,lungs, kidneys etc etc .

The weak point some people believe, in our life on this awesome planet is the human body with our joints etc wearing out and disease able to attack it, will one day I believe lead us to the point were we decide to do away with it all together and this WILL lead us to transplanting our brain into sleek body robotic beautiful .

The sheer common sense in it in their eyes :

Take for example flying ,planes now are getting bigger and bigger to transport ever increasing numbers of people across the world just think how many more humans could be loaded onto the plane if the brain could be detached at the terminal and loaded onto the plane into a small box and stored for the flight. ( and while on holiday your daily robotic body will be taken to a place not unlike todays Kwik Fit for a complete upgrade while you relax abroad)

The box will take the shape of the black box we often hear found at crash sites undamaged today,

this will lead to claims that even if the plane crashes you will survive .. perfect sense..

Just think you could leave your daily robotic body at the terminal and on arrival you are given the choice of various bodies (robotic) as if picking up a rental car like Avis

no need for sun tan oils or hours of sitting under tanning machines

see makes perfect sense and saves the planet

Slight drawback the cost of our new bodies several millions but hey never mind buy today and get the first year free followed by a 2000 year 0% loan.

With a guarantee that if a fault develope's simply come to the shop and it will be replaced or even better upgraded..

far fetched not anymore than if you were to sit with someone from 19^th century bloody hell you dont have to go back that far ,go to 1970 and talk with someone about what we are able to do now and they would NEVER believe you ...

don't fret if you think you would miss smells touch etc new and vastly improved sensors will mean that you are able to see further and smell scents and taste tastes hither too unreachable with the old noses and eyes..

So don't delay come on down to Comets and step into the future

Help the Government save money they have to spend needlessly at the moment telling us all to stop smoking stop eating to many cakes etc etc

be a responsible human and get transplanted TODAY.....
