Welcome to 22 Weeks Offseason! This is a series of podcasts that will be dedicated the larger world of sports while Pro Football is in it’s off-season! Our first episode focuses on the the Late, Great Ernie Banks.

Mr. Banks passed away several weeks ago and we remember him with the author of the most recent biography on him Ernie Banks: Mr. Cub and the summer of ’69, Phil Rogers. From Ernie’s impact on the game, to how important 1969 was to baseball, and will we see a new Wrigley Field one day. We discuss it all with Mr. Rogers who is a columnist for MLB.com and can be followed on twitter @PhilGRogers

We also dip into the GSI Media Archives to share the story of when Ernie Banks pitched Marvin Williams the idea of playing first base for the Chicago Cubs… IT also involves Patti Lebelle, you do not want to miss that story!
