2kSports is back once again this year with their installment
of the popular NBA video game series NBA2K8. All new this year is a feature
called 'BlackTop' where you can play in the Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest,

It can be argued that there are a few ways college football is better
than the NFL. For one thing, players are fighting not for a paycheck,
but for school spirit and pride, which inspires them to win every game.
The atmosphere surrounding each game is highly charged as boosters,
alumni and fans try to propel their school to victory with their force
of will. But perhaps one of the best elements of college football is
the feeling that any player at any point during a game can be a

Sony appears to have blinked first in the current video game console war.
The company that dominated the battle among the PlayStation 2,
Xbox and GameCube announced Monday (July 9) that its current model of
the eight-month-old PlayStation 3 will drop in price from $599 to $499
in North America, effective immediately. Neither Microsoft's Xbox 360
nor Nintendo's Wii have dropped in price since the systems' respective
launches in November 2005 and November 2006.
Sony also announced plans for...<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/24hourhiphopGamingCentral/~4/LcvLpSDFGnc" height="1" width="1"/>

&nbsp;Rockstar Games North does it again, after the release of GTA
III, Vice City, and San Andreas; years later, finally we get to see a glimpse
into the new Grand Theft Auto.
On Thursday night, March 29th, RockstarGames.com released the trailer to the
most anticipated 3D game of 2007, the unveiling of Grand Theft Auto
IV. The one minute trailer puts you in the streets of NYC, where the
franchise first started its reign; the backdrop is impeccable with images of

Icon claims the ground where beat-down and beat-box meet.
Once you get by the inexplicably minimalist interface and start knocking out
teeth, Def Jam Icon flashes you some of the snazziest next generation graphics
you've ever seen. From the convincing fiery explosions of a gas station/car
wash combo, to the teeth-shattering electrical effects of an L.A. rooftop's
broken circuit box, Def Jam Icon is simply the most beautiful brawler ever to
hit the pavement. But as pretty a...<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/24hourhiphopGamingCentral/~4/LLLoKfkcm8o" height="1" width="1"/>

Remember in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when Charlie finds the Golden Ticket,
and everyone's so excited that they forget all about the sweet, sweet candy that
the Ticket came with?
That's sort of what Crackdown is like: everyone's so busy salivating about
the inclusion of a Halo 3 beta code that they're overlooking the deliciousness
that's sitting right under their noses.
Day-Glo Disaster Area
 By now, we're all familiar with the go-anywhere, do-anything style of gameplay ...<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/24hourhiphopGamingCentral/~4/Z0PHzlYuTgI" height="1" width="1"/>

Lost Planet could have, would have, and should have been a Game
of the Year contender. The visuals are amazing; the action is fast and furious
and has that slick new-gen sheen everyone is clamoring for. I didn''t even mind
the nonsensical sci-fi back story, which involves a frozen planet, aliens that
bleed valuable thermal goo, and a shadowy organization that''s up to no good. Why?
Because the cinemas are done so well.
But ultimately, it falls oh so short. Over time, the gorgeous gra...<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/24hourhiphopGamingCentral/~4/TodynkbBMgE" height="1" width="1"/>

Owners of some gaming systems have to wait years before they get a true &quot;killer
app,&quot; but PlayStation 3 users get theirs on day one. Insomniac\'s Resistance:
Fall of Man is far and away the most impressive title on the console -- delivering
on everything that it promised with a strong single-player experience, plenty
of kick-ass multiplayer options, and stellar gameplay mechanics that equal those
found in other elite shooters. But being like &quot;other elite shooters&quot;

For years EA's FIFA franchise has played second fiddle to Konami's Winning Eleven
franchise, at least in the eyes of true fans of simulation-soccer. But EA is no
dummy and in recent years the FIFA franchise has done its best WE-imitation in
terms of gameplay while also putting to use a record-number of licenses -- something
Konami's title sorely lacks. In FIFA 07 on current-generation platforms, EA has
put together its best playing soccer title to date, and, thanks to a few pleasant

What does a Duke student and a North Carolina student have in common? They both
applied to Duke. Yes, college basketball is back. Let the heckling, face-painting
and "Oh" chanting begin.
The solid brand of basketball gameplay returns in College Hoops 2K7, along
with everything else from 2K6. In fact, aside from some minor control tweaks
and a few updated menus, the latest offering from 2K Sports is practically identical
 to 2K6. That's a good thing, in a way, considering 2K6 was...<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/24hourhiphopGamingCentral/~4/ovuBWE90hfc" height="1" width="1"/>
