Baghdad, Sep. 12 (AKnews) - The Iraqi parliament on Monday faild to give a controversial national Council for Strategic Policies law a second reading due to ongoing political disputes.

The law, if passed, will allow the establishment of the council that has been seen as a power-balance in the power-sharing government of Nuri al-Maliki who has been accused of tending to monopolize all powers. The council will be headed by Ayad Allawi, head of the Sunni-backed al-Iraqiya list with legislative powers.

The council's powers reportedly include drawing the internal, foreign, economic, security and military policies, as well as the water, oil, gas, and energy policies and a range of other issues as food quality control and environment. The council will also enjoy maintaining a headquarter, a brigade, and a budget which will be allocated from the fiscal year's budget.

The discussion on the law on Monday was postponed due to lack of political consensus among the political blocs, MP Mohammed al-Khalidi told AKnews. This is the second time the discussion of the law is being postponed in less than a week after it was postponed on Thursday.

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's State of Law bloc vehemently opposes the law because, as it says, it violates the Iraqi constitution by giving power to the council.

The National Council for Strategic policies was a concession promised to the elections' front-runner bloc, al-Iraqiya, to settle an eight-month dispute over who should head the government. AMMAN: Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region halted oil exports on Sunday, a move that will result in "big losses" for the national economy, Iraq's oil minister said.Kurdish government officials were not available for comment.Oil minister Abdul-Kareem Luaibi said in a statement the Kurdistan Regional Government had given no reason for the move, adding it would mean "big losses for the Iraqi economy, which will be reflected on its revenues, on the people in the region specifically and the Iraqi people in general".

Iraq's central government and the KRG have longstanding disputes over control of Iraq's northern oilfields.

Citing government sources, Reuters reported on Saturday that Kurdish crude exports had declined sharply in recent weeks to 50,000-60,000 bpd from 160,000 bpd. The sources did not know the reason for the decline.

Earlier on Sunday Luaibi confirmed the Kurdish export decline. He said exports had dropped to 50,000-55,000 bpd in the last two weeks but were rising again, without giving a current figure. He said he had been told by Kurdish officials it was due to "technical and maintenance work" in oilfields.

Iraqi Kurdistan halted exports in 2009 due to disagreements with the central government over contracts the KRG signed with foreign companies to develop its oilfields. The central government deems the contracts illegal.

The region resumed exports in February, boosting Iraq's total exports.

The OPEC producer exported a total of 2.189 million bpd in August, including 461,000 bpd from northern fields.

Iraq's current oil production is 2.75 million bpd, the first time it has reached that level in 20 years.

Finance parliamentary reveal a deficit in the budget for Iraq in 2012 $ 35 trillion dinars

Baghdad, 11 September / October (Rn) – The Chairman of the Finance Committee in
the Iraqi parliament on Sunday that Iraq’s budget for 2012 of $ 180 trillion
dinars will see a deficit of $ 35 trillion dinars, while economists emphasized
the need to form a financial to reduce the fiscal deficit in the annual budgets.
He said Haider Abadi, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the

Iraq to hold key oil field talks

Iraq expects to resume talks with oil majors this month on a
multi-billion-dollar oilfield water injection plan after disagreement over costs
suspended the project for months, a senior oil official said.

ExxonMobil
was picked on behalf of foreign oil firms to lead the mega water-injection
project, needed to boost crude production rates from Iraq’s southern
oilfields.

International oil companies that won contracts in southern
oilfields include Royal Dutch Shell, Lukoil, BP and Italy’s
ENI.

‘ExxonMobil, with other companies, have reviewed their position and
returned with new suggestions and ideas that agree with the oil ministry’s
demands,’ head of the ministry’s contracts and licensing directorate Abdul-Mahdy
Al Ameedi said.

‘I can say we will reach an agreement with companies this
time.’

Al Ameedi said the oil ministry would start studying a revised
version of a ‘heads of agreement’, which governs the principles for starting the
project, along with new proposals submitted by ExxonMobil and the other
companies, after a three-day roadshow from Sunday to Tuesday in
Jordan.

Iraqi oil officials will present protocols for its fourth energy
auction, scheduled for late January, to potential bidders at the meeting in
Amman.

‘We are busy with the fourth auction roadshow now and after
finishing it we will straightaway start studying the new proposals and the
revised heads of agreement. We will resume meetings with ExxonMobil and other
leading companies after mid-month,’ Al Ameedi said.

Iraq has signed a
series of deals with oil majors to develop its largest oilfields and is seeking
to boost production as the country pulls back from years of war and economic
sanctions.

The water injection scheme would help raise extraction rates
and maintain reservoir pressure to overcome production declines at fields such
as West Qurna, Majnoon, Zubair and Rumaila.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) has sold 211 million US dollars in its Sunday auction for selling and buying foreign currencies, on an average rate of 1,170 Iraqi dinars per dollar, registering a higher figure of Saturday sales that reached 200 million, the CBI’s daily bulletin reported. “The total size of the demand on the US dollar on Sunday had reached 211,735,000 dollars, covered by the CBI on an average rate of 1,170 dinars per dollar,”
the bulletin, received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency stressed. The CBI’s previous session had registered 200,780,000 US dollars. “The CBI’s today’s cash sales reached 7, 690,000 US dollars, on AN average exchange rate of 1,183 dinars per dollar, including the Bank’s interest rate of 13 dinars per dollars,” the bulletin added. It pointed out that the CBI’s today's foreign transfers had reached 204,45,000 dollars, on an average exchange rate of 1,183 dinars per dollar, including the Bank’s interest rate of 13 dinars per dollar. The bulletin repeated its daily comment that none of the banks that attended the sessions, including the 24 banks that attended it today, had offered any dollar for sale. Sulaymaniya (NINA) – Representative of the Kurdistan Region Government in the US, Qubad Talabani, announced that the discussions taking place now are not about the extension or departure of the US troops, these discussions are about the legal form of their stay.

In an interview with the Kurdish (Asu)newspaper published in Sulaymaniya, Qubad Talabani said “the US is not withdrawing, we have passed the stage of withdrawing, the discussions ongoing now are about the form the US troops are staying legally,” without naming the negotiating parties.

Qubad, President Jalal Talabani’s son, went on saying “we have always said that in case the US wanted a base inside Kurdistan, then, we are ready for that and we have a place for them,” describing the relations between KRG and the Americans as developing.

Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani hinted during the KRG representations abroad conference that was held in Erbil last week that the US troops’ withdrawal from Iraq could open the door for a civil war in Iraq, demanding the central government to strike new deal with Washington for the US troops stay.

As I sit here tonight at the midnight hour, I reflect on how we got where we are and what it actually means to the people of the United States and the people about to receive this blessing.

10 years ago, we watched as the towers fell and the whole world changed.

Now, we are sitting and waiting in anticipation of completely different kind of change. This event will bring many things:

1. We will see a balance of wealth that has not been seen in this world for many many years.

2. We will see the opportunity for the United States to become the World Power that it was for most of our lives but had slipped away from.
3. We will see well over a million new wealthy families emerge.
4. Housing markets will soar, automobile sales will soar, Trillions of dollars will be pushed into our economy.
5. Well over 2 million jobs will become available literally overnight.
6. Churches who have been struggling will see the collection plates overflow like never, ever before.
7. Countries from all corners of the world will be able to sit down and bargain and trade on equal levels like never before.
8. Iraq will emerge as the wealthiest country on earth as a democracy.
9. Families will be able to spend more time together like never before.
10. God’s work will flourish as people will be helping people all over the world like never before.
11. Our political arena will change for the better as both parties will have to come to terms with the fact that together we can prosper,

People will be praising God more. This will effect the investors and the non-investors in huge ways. Unemployment will plummet and businesses will flourish like never before.

In order for all of this to happen, we will all have to remember how this happen and why. Christian people banned together and emptied their pocketbooks to buy dinar to help out the Iraqi people in their time of need with taking worthless currency that MIGHT someday be worth as much as 50 cents per dinar if that. Little did we know that we would see it come back at a much higher rate and make some or most of us wealthy beyond our wildest dreams.

So, tonight as we sit and wait, please remember this is much bigger than you or me. This is OUR CHANCE to make a difference!

"Question" So How MUCH Dinar does one own?

Well I'm not sure if this question has been asked before or what but I wanted to ask....so how much is alot when talking about the Iraqi Dinar?

How much do you guys own currently that you yourself would consider it to be alot? I know alot of this has to do with when/if it revalues and what it RV's at...but its just a question.

The reason I ask also is because lets just say you only have 100,000 IQD would you invest in something to help you save more? Like and offshore account etc. platinum service here at DV? Or would you be happy with what it RV's at pay the taxes and call it a day?

I don't mind telling you all how much I have. I have 3.5 MIL Hard Currency and 3 MIL in Warka. Would you consider this alot?

I'm not sure what to really think... I tend to feel that I'm just little change compared to others.

I'm generally not one to take a negative stance on this "investment". However, something changed my perspective as of late, and I'm uncertain exactly what it was. It's possible that I'm seeing things with a bit more clarity in regards to the day-to-day saga of the IQD...

First of all, let's be clear about these "three zeros" articles. The articles are, in fact, describing a RD. It's as plain as day. Now, I'm not subscribing to the RD camp, but let's be honest about it. Perhaps I'm just a bit tired of seeing folks grabbing on to a few words and manipulating them until it means "RV". Are we growing blind to non positive Dinar news?

I dont know about everyone else but I find myself sometimes ignoring posts that dont say what I want them to. As much as we all want to see this RV thing happen, I cant help but feel like its a pipe dream. I have a ministry that has been full time by faith for ten years and have watch as we have been provided for time and again. However, I see that time has been dwindling as we speak. I want to believe this Dinar thing is going to happen, but with every positive post I have seen, I see an opposite contridictive post.
The deleting of the zeros, by some accounts is a good thing, by yet another account the news article says, that it will not affect the Exchange rate of the Dinar. I hear RV RV RV soon and then see an article that says 2 to 3 years away. I hear that it has RVed in Iraq, Then I hear that there is no way it has rved for whated=ver reason. This roller coaster is making me insane. I have done much research on my own and what I read in some of the articles is not at all what others interpret it to say.
Somebody give me something solid. I believe its going to happen, but how soon remains elusive at the very best. I would like to know if I need to exit my current status, in ministry, or try to hold on for the RV miracle. My life as well as those around my very well depend upon it.I just want to know, if I keep going I not only will be broke, but possibly homeless as well.
