Benarkah Facebook Akan Ditutup? Ini Jawaban Pendirinya!

Isu yang beredar mengenai penutupan Facebook pada 31 Mei 2010 jam 13.23 yang sempat beredar luas di kalangan pengguna BB sempat meresahkan pengguna Facebook. Berita yang belum diketahui kebenarannya itu beredar via BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), aplikasi chat bawaan BlackBerry.

“Kabar ini bukan sekedar informasi! Jika kamu mempunyai foto yang pribadi, silahkan simpan. Tidak ada lagi Facebook, ini nyata!”, demikian bunyi pesan singkat itu. Diluar benar tidaknya isu penutupan tersebut, ada berita mengejutkan yang bisa jadi menjawab isu yang beredar saat ini.

Mark Mengaku Salah
Mark Zuckerberg selaku pendiri Facebook mengaku tidak terlalu ambil pusing dengan tuntutan agar Facebook lebih memperhatikan sistem keamanan pemilik akun. Namun, sikap lelaki 26 tahun itu saat ini berubah. Mark mengumumkan akan memperbaiki kontrol privasi situs jejearing sosial tersebut.

Dalam surat terbuka kepada harian The Washington Post, Zuckerberg mengakui melakukan kesilapan untuk masalah privasi. Dia menambahkan, kontrol privasi Facebook nanti sederhana dan mencakup cara menghindari masuknya pihak yang tidak diinginkan dalam akun pengguna.

Mengapa Perlu Kontrol Keamanan?
Facebook yang kini memiliki lebih dari 400juta anggota, mendapat kritikan pedas dari ahli-ahli kemanan. Bagaimana tidak, seseorang dengan mudah bisa mengakses detail seperti tempat tinggal, nomor telepon hingga daftar teman. Apakah pengakuan Marck yang akan memperbaiki bahaya di sistem kemananan Facebook menjawab isu penutupan Facebook? Benarkah Facebook akan ditutup?
