I love how Kora looks like she’s going to ask, “What’s so funny?” while Logan is looking mischievous in the background. So cute now, but it was definitely a mess to clean up then!

We both really like salsa so when I saw Chi-Chi’s Snackers, I knew they would be a great new way to enjoy a mid-afternoon snack.

That’s why I was excited to come across Okabashi Shoes and Sandals. As soon as I saw their Wave Sunshine Print sandals I knew they would always remind me of the sun, sand, and surf.

The cookies look a lot like a regular Oreo on one side and then on the other is a tribute to the first Oreo cookie design with a thin wreath on the outer edge and the Oreo name on a plain surface in  the middle. This side also has a birthday candle and the number 100 in celebration.

As you can see the creme in the Birthday Cake Oreos is a bit different, it’s got sprinkles and a birthday cake batter flavor! Delicious!

Recently I made a really wonderful grilled cheese that I’m very excited to share. I topped thick Italian bread withVELVEETA® and Ro*Tel®.  I also added buffalo chicken for a little extra kick.

The sandwich was amazing!

It was crispy, cheesy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of zest. I look forward to adding this simple sandwich to our list of family favorites. Here’s a quick video that Kora took of me preparing the sandwich.

Not only is easy to make, but the ingredients are simple enough that it’s a snap to grab all 4 at the grocery store too. This is great because I’m not much of a grocery store planner. I will make a list of essentials and then pick up whatever inspires me when I peruse the aisles. Does anyone else do this too?

That’s enough about shopping, let’s start cooking! On to the recipe we go!

Zesty Grilled Cheese

1 serving

Ingredients

• 2 slices thick Italian bread
• 2 slices VELVEETA®
• 2 tbsp RO*TEL®
• 3-4 slices buffalo chicken lunchmeat (or any flavor of your preference, oven roasted turkey is delicious too)
• 1 tbsp butter

Directions

1. Heat skillet on stove at Medium heat.
2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
3. Place bread on skillet butter side down.
4. Add turkey, VELVEETA® and RO*TEL®. Top with other slice of bread.
5. Heat until bread turns golden on one side and then flip. Once the second side is golden brown remove from skillet, serve warm and enjoy!

Kora had to decorate a bag to hold her Valentine’s cards and as you can see she loves Hello Kitty, Logan thought it would be fun and festive to hold the heart-shaped measuring cups. Creative kids!

They bought cards and they signed their own names and attached lollipops to them. They also bought small heart boxes filled with chocolates for their teachers.

We also attempted to get creative and dip pretzels and marshmallows in chocolate and top them with Valentine’s Day sprinkles. But it ended up being a disaster. It doesn’t sound that difficult but for some reason everything went wrong – it too forever, things kept getting spilled, my numbers were off, etc.

So we stopped and opted to eat our delicious failures ourselves. This was a great silver lining and makes Kora and Logan very happy!
