Stephany & Kris // Paradise // Same Day Edit

Stephany & Kristopher had a wonderful wedding at the Cambridge Mill in Cambridge. The weather was beautiful. They were lucky to be surrounded with so many wonderful, loving & truly caring people. Some of them traveled a long way just to spend this one day with them.

From the early morning Steph was pretty calm and ready to walk down the aisle & the only thing Kris was nervous about was his speech he had to give at the reception. You can hear about it in this Same Day Edit.

The speeches at the reception were very emotional . Everyone had some great things to say about close family & friends. Even we couldn’t hold it together at times. There was so much love, joy & thankfulness.

We had a blast getting to know both Steph & Kris including their families & we loved working with Sweet Pair photography again.

Carolina & Kyle // Highlights Film

Carolina & Kyle a successful couple at running their own planning company “The event firm” and successful at love. These two are head over heels for each other. The whole day was so emotional starting with the card reading where they both knew the exact words that would touch the others heart. We wanted to share this in the film because it shows the specific little things they adore about one another. The heart shaped bracelet symbolizes how Kyle feels about Carolina and how she is the only one for him. Carolina loves that he makes her laugh when she is angry.
When Carolina who is a post graduate of opera singing came down the stairs & started singing to Kyle all you could hear in the room was sniffing . Kyle was just blown away.
Since both of them are into planing & decor they really put so much time into details that the wedding hall looked stunning. (btw you should hire them)

We are very fortunate to have met both of them and we are happy to share this film with you.

Robert & Christina have known each other since teenage years. They actually met at a wedding rehearsal & ended up marring each other several years later. When Christina gave him her photo while they were kids Robert had kept it ever since in his wallet & was waiting to meet her again... Well the time had come & Robert decided to reconnect with Christina & since then it has been their love story...
Robert filmed the proposal & the day before the proposal "rehearsing" to ask Christina to marry him but nevertheless you can see that in their Love Story video below. MAKE SURE to watch Love Story b4 you watch their wedding film!
We are grateful that were part of their special day & wish them both happiness and love.

Vannesa & Peter // Inside beauty // Highlights

Vanessa & Peter are young and in love. Having a strong support from both family and friends they decided to take that next step on their journey together. What surprised me is them being so relaxed in the morning just like it was another regular day. This shows how in love they are and how used to one another they have gotten. For pictures we went to a beautiful farm here in Kitchener. This is where the reveal happened, they were really cute when they saw one another. As good as they looked (you can hear this in VoiceOver when they meet) it’s really all about the inside beauty that the pastor is talking about in the beginning of the film. Congrats Vanessa & Peter.David

Jelena & Alex // Better Together // Same Day Edit

Being a part of another traditional Serbian wedding was an honor but also a privilege. An honor because we get to hang out with bridal party we mostly already know pretty well (3 bridesmaids we already shot weddings for) and a privilege because we understand the culture if you know what i mean :)
In most cases scenario plays out in 3 huge parts that make a traditional wedding. Buying of the bride /negotiation, blessing at the church and the party. When we say the party we mean the PARTY :)
In this case when grooms family & friends came to buy Jelena they tried to offer several things in exchange for her. The Swiffer with pads didn't work. Fancy house slippers didn't work either & electrical tools for her brother did not change his mind even tho he is an electrician :) Basically the big price had to be paid no matter what. After the negotiation was accomplished we were headed to church were the lovely couple saw each other for the first time that day ( We love this tradition it just builds so much anticipation and the moment when the groom see's his bride is priceless!) & than the celebration took place until the end of the night!
Hanging out with them showed us how much they care for each other how relaxed and comfortable they are with each other.
Their love is another example that long distant relationships actually can work! For Alex it was never too hard to take a few trips down to Kitchener to see his soulmate. They are not just the soulmates but simply they are just better together. :) Enjoy their Same Day Edit!

Ljilja & Mladen have truly a great love story... They knew each other since their childhood. If fact they were friends all the years before even considering each other in that chemistry kind of way. When they were teenagers Ljilja came in after breaking up with someone else and in agony went up to Mladen & said "listen Mladen, when I turn 30 & if were still not married your going to marry me & i promise you, you will have a great life!" So after some time they did get married in fact Mladen was 30 now Ljiljo its your job to keep ur promise :) As we see it they are off to an amazing future together! We had an incredible day with these two. We have known Marlise for quite a bit and when she booked us we were really happy to be a part of her special day. Her and Randy met online and they are perfect fit for each other. Who says internet love is not possible? God uses various way to bring two people together. Their wedding theme was exactly about God who brought them together: "For His Glory"...
Everything about this wedding was sincere even their own vows written for each other. Right after the ceremony the ice cream truck & rolls royce was surprise that Randy had booked without Marlise knowing about it. Her reaction was priceless! We wish them the best of luck in their future together.

Leanne & Dan // Highlights // Today Was a Fairytale

It was such an incredible experience to be a part of Leanne & Dan's wedding day. They are both so young and very excited about marriage if fact they were high school sweethearts that met at the christian camp and ever since then continued their relationship. Being apart for little while, going to different school,living in different cities, writing letters to each other always keeping in touch made this relationship stronger & ready for the next big step-marriage. Both Leanne & Dan's family were so happy to finally give their firsts away. From an emotional card reading by Dan to Leanne's fathers emotional speech this day was beautiful in so many ways. The ceremony was held at beautiful Whistle Bear Golf club in Cambridge & reception followed at the Pines, Cambridge.

Cate & Matt... what a wonderful couple these two are! Truly a couple in love and on top of the moon :) This July 30th day was a beautiful summer day Cate & Matt couldn't have picked a nicer day! Everything seemed to flow so perfectly from the "getting ready" to the decorations to the final detail preps at the reception was beautiful. Every little detail just tied it all together! Every little detail at the reception had a meaning to both Cate & Matt. Wonderful job Cate for putting it all together! It looked beautiful. Just as beautiful as the reception details so were Cate's words to each one of her bridesmaids, sister, mother, father & husband her words touched their hearts. Matt the excited father to be was extremely caring & loving to his beautiful bride. They looked so great together and excited for the baby that's on the way! Tommy & Saska // Love is Patient // SDE

Wow, whatta great wedding this was! First off i have known Tommy for over 7 years now, we have been good friends and he is my wifes cousin. When he fell in love with this girl Saska back home (Canada) he couldn’t stop talking to her. Bills were flying each month. 1 Day wouldn’t pass that he didn’t talk to her. His brother, sister, family everyone was complaining how Tommy is always on the phone or Skype (THANK GOD FOR SKYPE).

They met about 2 years ago when Saska came to visit her sister that also got married to Tommy's cousin. When Tommy saw Saska he fell in love with her right away. Last year he flew over to propose on which she said yes and up until this July they have been planning their wedding over the phone and haven’t seen each other for 1 year! Whoa! too long! Love is PATIENT :) I asked Tommy if I can come before he flew over to get some footage from him and to capture his feelings about her. He was so excited that the day has finally come he couldn’t stop talking about it.

He flew me over last minute and he didn’t make a mistake, that’s for sure. I was there a total of 10 days which was amazing to see my family again, but nevertheless I did miss my wifey and my son over here in Kitchener.
If some of you don’t know this is my home town (Novi Sad, Serbia). It was so great to be there again and see my home town from a different perspective., I knew where I want to go and what I want to record to give you an idea of how beautiful Novi Sad and Serbia really is. Not that its my home town but really it’s 1 of the most beautiful places to be at.:) (wink)

I have to say big thanks to my brother Sasha and my really good friend Vladimir for helping me out on this shoot. Its always great to have a hand to help. HVALA MOMCI-NAJBOLJI STE! :)Enjoy their Same Day Edit played at the reception. I added subtitles in post so you can hear what happened.:)

Michelle & Steven //Only You Can Love Me This Way //SDE

Michelle & Steven had a beautiful wedding at the Hockley Resort in Orangville! From the bride that took everyone's breath away to the groom who looked so stunning to the bridesmaid's who were looking smashing in their pink dresses, to the groomsman who were looking so stylish with the Oaklie's shades. This wedding day was filled with laughter, joy & emotions...it did start out cloudy and we must admit did scare us for a second but it quickly turned around and the sun came out!
Both Michelle & Steve were very emotional reading the card they both prepared in advance for each other. Michelle was impressed with the Tiffany's necklace Steve got her and Steve was even more impressed when he turned around to see his bride at the first meet at the golf course!
As the day continued we got to know Michelle & Steve a lot better and their family & friends. Both Michelle's & Steven's family are jokers & it was a very entertaining day for us. Bassim the photographer was incredible as always making this day even more fun with his comments & goofiness. You can check out his work at www.bassem.ca .
The SDE was prepared just in time before their first dance and everyone at the wedding raved about it.

Mandi & Jimmy have an incredible story together. From spending a day with them it feels like I knew them for a very long time and through their wedding and emotional speeches that were shared at the reception I got to know their life journey. Their life was full of challenges and their love for each other proved that those challenges can be overcome if you keep fighting & loving. I felt prompted to start this video with a prayer that would echo and fulfill their lives now & for year's to come. These two are so in love which you can clearly see in the video and their day at the Harbour Banquet & Conference Centre at the lakeshore was just perfect. Congrats guys and remember together you are stronger to overcome any challenges that come your way!

Kristina & Daniele’s stunning July wedding took place at the Golf Country Club in Woodbridge, ON. Absolutely gorgeous day and gorgeous couple! Originally Roxana & Luci booked us for the Main Feature package but changed their mind last-minute adding the Same Day Edit. They definitely did not regret it!:) Luci was very relaxed in the morning having breakfast at Cora, playing golf with the guys & getting ready to meet his bride. Roxana had fun with the girls at her place patiently waiting for her man to arrive. From the moment they met you could see that they were true soul mates. Everything about this wedding was perfect except the limo breaking down on the way to the ceremony but it was beautiful little later to hear their wows come from the heart. We had wonderful time downtown Cambridge filming at the river side. The reception followed at beautiful Galt Country Club. Enjoy this Same Day Edit!

Alexandra & Flavius// The Convenant

"Covenant is a solemn and binding relationship that has been established by God" said the pastor.
Spending our day with Alex & Flavius was very enjoyable. We love to capture the moments where the couple has their first meet prior to the wedding ceremony, this way the couple is more relaxed and less stressed coming down the aisle or waiting at the altar. Also its a great opurtunity to spend some time with the couple alone and get some great footage. From the moment Flavius saw his bride he didn't take his eyes off of her. Alex had a very supportive bridal party who was there to hold the dress when needed, carry the flowers, encourage her and be there for her at anytime.. she also had her man holding her hand, hugging her and smiling at her telling her she looked stunning. You can notice that Flavius's focus for the entire day was Alex :)
In this short highlights video you can see that the exchange of the vows and the rings happened in Romanian language but I felt the need to put it in because the rings do represent the biggest visible symbol of that covenant relationship. Wishing you all the best Alex & Flavius.

"The Journey" Miss University Canada 2011

Miss University Canada is the competition that will surpass your every expectation. Their mission is to revolutionize the pageant world and show what women are truly capable of. Through their focus on education, determination and philanthropy they encourage their contestants to be the best that they can be.

We had a privilege to film last 10 contestants that were going to be a part of the big finale on 5th of May 2011. It was great to see what girls had to go through to get there. "The Journey" was at times fun, stressful, emotional but it payed off in the end. It really is "beyond beauty".

Krisi & Djordje//Highlights

What a great way & with an amazing couple to start off our season! This winter wedding started off with a big snow storm & ended up sunny. As I arrived at the Djordje's place everyone was already celebrating traditionally & supporting Djordje's decision. While at girls place the morning was much quieter with the hair and make up but it certainty got loud when Djordje came with the guys to buy Krisi. The buying of the bride lasted about 10 minutes when Krisi came down the stairs into his beloveds arms. From then on celebration seem to just have gotten started and it continued till the early morning. The highlight of this wedding was definitely the grooms overwhelming joy that this day finally came which he shows really well on the dance floor. It was the first dance to remember for a long time. We want to wish you the best of luck together, you guys are truly a great couple that make each other just shine brighter.

Anda & Danny (wedding film) Autumn is here

Day started out with Danny, his cousins and friends having fun, eating and getting ready at the apartment. I think it was only Danny that was a bit nervous expecting to see his bride. Anda was also nervous but she didn't show it much. She was happy that she had her beautiful dress and yellow shoes to show off to her husband to be. Anda & Danny had been civilly married in Romania since the begging of this year and Danny came from Romania recently . I didn't see such a happy couple in a long time. They were just smiling and snuggling like two little love birds that couldn't get enough of each other. This day turned out to be a gorgeous autumn day and we had a blast at the Via Rail station climbing the fire routes at the near by building. We had a blast working with two very cool photographers that came all the way from Windsor. (Arica & Joshua Klassen Manifesto Photography) Reception was again at out favorite venue Victoria Park Pavilion and all you could see is beautiful fall colored decorations everywhere. Danny & Anda are very young and have a very bright future together. We wish them the best of luck!

Zumba-World Record Attempt!

KITCHENER — 350 people sweated their way in an effort to claim a Guinness World Record Saturday at the first ever Zumba-thon in Kitchener.

Zumba fitness is a dance-themed workout using Latin music and dance steps, intended to make it a fun and easy workout.

The attempt to cha-cha into the record books was organized by co-ordinator, and lead Zumba instructor, Luann Skovsgaard, who said the official record is currently 250 dancers.

Skovsgaard said there have been other record attempts with up to 850 people — which haven’t been officially confirmed — so the Zumba-thon aim was initially an ambitious 1,000 people.

“We’re trying to get a handle on whether we actually broke the record or not,” said Skovsgaard.

Once the application for the record is processed, Skovsgaard said she will know if Zumba-thon beat out the other unofficial attempts.

While the actual record-breaking status was murky, Skovsgaard said “the energy in the building was incredible,” and the event did raise more than $4,300 for Donna’s Kids: The Donna Weber Sponsored Children’s Program, co-ordinated with the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association.

The sponsorship program helps parents pay for their children to play minor hockey. Donna Weber was an advocate of the program before she passed away in March 2010.
