Regarding the green clip. I wish there was a diagram of the clip with more detailed instructions so I'd know exactly where to press. I pushed on the "obvious" notch, but I don't see any movement on the clip or hose/cable. Would be nice to know if I'm on the right track.

Thanks much for these instructions. Changed blown passenger side bulb midafternoon, Easter Sunday. OK, so Iâ€m 61, and the space down there behind the headlight in my 2001 Civic is minimal, eyes not great. But, was able to pull plug device, weather seal, and with yank from pliers the hold-down wire. AKA F***ing hold down wire. Got bulb in, went to replace hold down wire in slot. Slot? What slot? Why doesnâ€t this flashlight work? When it works you either look, or block light with hands. OK, itâ€s starting to rain. Found your article, gave good look at what inserted hold-down wire looks like. OK, went back, pulled bulb out, played inserting hold down wire. Now skilled, went back to put in bulb, found I had been putting it in upside down (the 2 meager looking grooves at bottom ARE for the two pringers, the big juicy slot down there is extra, only there as a distraction. With bulb in correctly, and now well-practiced in hold down wire insertion, rest was easy. Putting back weather seal was a snap once I re-examined. Plug was easy. Lights work! No injuries were life-threatening, no animals were harmed in the replacement of this headlight. I decided on a Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA.
