IE8 Partner Build Readme, Wednesday December 10th, 2008

Versions:
- Windows Vista x86

- The builds are only available in English

Some changes:

- A new option allows users to put as many items on the Favorites bar as they want. The size of Links bar items can now be set to long (default), short (5 characters), or simply the favicon.
- New InPrivate Blocking button on the status bar. This can be pressed to turn InPrivate Blocking on and off.

Known issue:

- The Facebook friends list program has a known issue with the IE8 Partner Build. When you use the “Add to list” box from the friends list it causes the browser to hang. At this time, there is no known workaround.

When using the Internet for such activities as checking e-mail on a friend's computer or shopping for a gift on a family PC, some users prefer not to leave any traces of their session. The InPrivate Browsing feature of Internet Explorer 8 prevents the browser from saving session history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and usernames and passwords.

The GeForce 180.70 driver is dated November 18, it includes the version 8.10.13 PhysX software, has support for the GeForce 8800, 9 and GTX 200 series cards as well as for the GeForce 9300 and 9400 IGPs and comes with performance boosts in numerous 3D applications. Compared to 178 series drivers, the 180.70 brings:

- Up to 10% performance increase in 3DMark Vantage (performance preset)
- Up to 13% performance increase in Assassin's Creed
- Up to 13% performance increase in BioShock
- Up to 15% performance increase in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

The internet has been way too generous today but owners of GeForce cards shouldn't mind as two new sets of drivers can now be tried out.First up, we have the leaked GeForce 177.40 betas which can be used by anyone who has a GeForce 6 or newer card.
