Hillary’s using a private email server was not only ridiculously shady to begin with, but what the hell is wrong with our government when they don’t have a policy in place preventing states’ business from being communicated over private email. I can’t think of a company I know that allows business to be communicated outside of said companies own secured servers. That aside, she HAS been proven to send classified information, each count of which is a felony; So why is she still running for President? Why are her and Barney…err Bernie laughing about it in the debate?

Some local issues in business, Waterbury hospital scaling pay down…for the little guy but at least their CEO still gets 20% increase. Not everyone loses at least. ESPN doing some sizable layoffs with, at least somewhat a focus on management. Likely due to our show…OK, maybe not. But possibly because of how much media is available outside of TV subscription services? Not sure, we do note it’s existence though.

This week in “You can’t stop the crazy!” We talk about the Swedish School Samurai Slaying. We can only imagine the endless katana control laws that are going to go into place now.

Do you vote? Does it matter? We have a discussion about your impact on voting in national elections considering the electoral college; how manipulated the candidates are for the 2 primary parties are. Remember though, that voting is a Right and if you don’t exercise it, what will you do when you can’t?

We finish off with discussion of Local elections here in Bristol, CT where the race for Mayor is close AND heated! A brief mention of some the jabs going back and forth between the current Mayor, Ken Cockayne and Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. Ellen, having clearly out shined Ken during the local debate in regards to polish, but not necessarily in substance. This is of course up to opinion and the sides appear to be clearly drawn betwixt the two opposing forces. Rumors and scandals abound between Ashley Madison accounts and a local write-in candidate

Bobby Michalski’s fake run for the position. It’s heated and will come to a head November 2nd! Good luck and may the best candidate win!

Among other things, we discuss a number of situations, address 1 very important question. When should you act? Should you ever act? At the UCC shooting in

Oregon there were two armed individuals at the gun free campus. Neither acted…and that was smart. They weren’t in a position to act safely for themselves and those around them. That’s good decision making and firearm ownership.

At the Waffle House in Charleston, SC a robbery was stopped when an armed citizen outside of the store confronted the armed robber on his way out. The robber drew his weapon and fired and was subsequently & fatally wounded by the citizen. Was this wrong? We, nor the law, seem to think so. Others think he was a cowboy and should have minded his own business.

We also help dispel the myth that regular, every day citizens that carry a firearm do stop the bad guy at times and that it’s important to remember; The bad guy is rarely the good guy, legally carrying a legally obtained firearm that just loses his mind and decides to hurt a bunch of people. We discuss more than a handful of real life situations where a regular armed citizen has stopped a mass shooting which is above and beyond the regular occurrences that DO stop the bad guy very frequently. If anti-gunners think these guys don’t exist then the mass shooting stopper is almost a unicorn.

economy, were not only threatening to leave but were being called upon publicly to do so by other states! NOW – He’s cutting the budget by $103 million. This includes cuts to medicaid, further jeopardizing many hospitals that were affected when it came out initially, education and MENTAL HEALTH! One of the major issues that seems to link those responsible for mass murders. Yah, let’s cut that budget

and make up new laws for gun restrictions rather than tackling the problem. For the record, we are ALL for the government spending less…but do it the right way. Stop wasting money, be transparent and ease up on the taxes. They jack our taxes, they jack up our freedoms and we’re supposed to sit back and smile. Thanks Malloy…looking forward to your removal.

More proof that the government does what’s best for government, not it’s constituents. “Smoking is bad…you should quit smoking” then they raise cigarette tax by .50 every 6 months. They don’t want you to quit…they want your money. They don’t want incidents like these mass murders to stop either…they want your guns. They never address the problem(s)…they pass legislature to hinder our rights more and more, little by little, like a frog in a frying pan and we all just sit there and get warm and comfy.

A sad it was in Oregon where a maniac attacked many at Umpqua Community College in Oregon killing 10 and injuring 9 others before taking his own life. Th

is took place in a Gun free zone though the press is pushing hard that it was NOT. Many are adamant that it was not a Gun Free Zone…technically, they’re right. In the Shall Issue state of Oregon, it is ruled that community colleges cannot prevent carrying on the school property however as shown here – the school policy, visible on the website itself states that it is prohibited. The government is admittedly politicizing this and ignoring the causes as well as all of the evidence showing their [nothing more than gun grabbing] laws and hype they push do not change things.

Prepare to Act has in fact pulled their proposal for the Gun Range but not permanently…they’ve done so in an effort to ensure they can fully address, and have enough time time to do so, the concerns of the opposition to the range. With all this talk about our environment – we aren’t arguing about the next ice age…I mean global warming,…I mean climate change. We do note that the science, regardless of what EITHER side says, is not settled on whether man is creating negative climate change but we also note that it doesn’t really matter. Isn’t being cleaner, less wasteful, more efficient a good thing for all of us anyway? Let’s stop getting government in the way. Don’t protect a company that buys up technology to prevent it from coming to fruition. That’s not capitalism.

at they’re learning may not….correct. Take a look at this story from our FB page where a young man is punished for knowing and exercising his rights in school. Was he right? We don’t know. We know he knows his rights and advocates them. That’s important. Listen to another story about how a local school here was caught teaching false information to our students about the 2nd Amendment. Local parents and Councilmen took action. The assignment was pulled, but no discipline made. Remember, it’s your responsibility to know what your kids are being taught in school.

Concerned supporters are wondering at rumors of Prepare to Act‘s submission status for the Wolcott Road Gun Range. Owner Chris Marciano sheds some encouraging light

First let me say that I apologize for the delayed update about what is happening. Some uncontrollable circumstances popped up over the weekend that took some of my time.

That said, to confirm, we did in fact pull our special permit application for the property located at 82 Wolcott Road in Plymouth. We did this in the interest of time and will be re-submitting our new application very soon.

There is a lot to get done. We have made several changes to our site plan and added attorneys and experts from around the country to be sure this is done correctly. We have had a gigantic amount of support from many local Plymouth residents and from influential people across Connecticut, for this we are very appreciative. Please stay tuned for more updates

Paying taxes is a responsibility we all have to endure. If we don’t pay, we are penalized. In Bristol, CT they fine you an additional percentage for being late and also prevent you from registering or re-registering your vehicle. Oh, they also hire thugs to sneak onto your property and immobilize your car IN your driveway at 2:00a.m. Pretty standard. The town council is ‘confident’ it’s legal. BMAK & Trav get into a somewhat lengthy and definitely passionate discussion as to the legality of this and what will happen when someone ends up hurt or killed because of the city’s mob like tactics. Can you prove Brother MAK wrong on this issue? He’s been waiting for someone to give him opposition that has any real validity.

Meanwhile, the SCOTUS has protected same sex marriage in the 14 Amendment, section 1 based on jurisprudence in case law. They should’ve likely given the states a this or that but right now, this is the ruling. #KimDavis is a staunch Christian (well…now anyway) and truly believes that same sex marriage is wrong. It’s a good thing be steadfast in your religious beliefs whether we all agree or not. Standing up for what you believe in is important…except when your beliefs override the rights of another. Kim’s job is to issue marriage licenses and she has refused to do so for same sex couples (and eventually everyon

e). Rather than step down from office to support her beliefs, she decided to hold steadfast in her job defy a court order by continuing to refuse signing. She’s now in jail. YAY! Right?! FINALLY the system upholds a government official for violating the rights of another. No…everyone is complaining instead.

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence wishes for everyone carrying a firearm to have the police called on them unless you’re a mind reader and know for a fact they aren’t filled with evil intentions.

We spoke with Chris Marciano from Prepare to Act and he gave us the following update regarding the Wolcott Road Gun Range that we discussed last week and don’t forget to sign the petition. They’ll be using it at the hearing to show the overwhelming support:

Our new hearing date is September 10 at 7:00 pm. We’ve been getting an unbelievable amount of support and we encourage people to come to the hearing to make that statement.

We are in the midst of making some changes to the original proposal in response to the concerns of the community members. We are very reasonable people and understand what we are doing is a volatile issue. With that said, the sad trend of “gun talk” being a bad thing, needs to change. Prepare To Act building up this property to more than a gun range will get some positive attention brought back to the sport of shooting. Our range design will give professional, responsible, educated shooters a clean, safe place to come and shoot.

Brother MAK makes a confession. Don’t be too disappointed when you hear it. There’s some great content for the show that will come from it. As a result, one great point discussed that everyone should consider when it comes to not only gun ownership, but freedom, liberty & rights in general; You needn’t advocate or exercise your rights to respect the choice that others do.

Travs responds to a ridiculous statement made by the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. His response reflects not only how silly their question is, but the numbers (corrected in entirety from the post in the show) tell a much different story than they’d care to admit.

Continuing with our numbers discussion, Brother MAK denotes some interesting facts about the U.S. compared to the rest of the world in terms of numbers of guns per capita and number of murders per capita. The evidence seems to support the anti-gunners….at first anyway. Listen in to hear the discussion and watch the video below for ALL the facts.

With sadness we discuss the untimely death of young Jamyla Borden of Ferguson, MO. With all the news and hype this town has gotten of late, how has the drive by killing of this 9 yr. old girl gone virtually unreported? Because it lacks the political agenda of bad policing or any racial flares.

Why open carry? Mother’s Demand Action evokes a fantastic response to open carrying of firearms. People have been desensitized into being afraid at the mere sighting of a firearm in the hands of any non-authority figure. Same thing can be said about exercising any of your rights and/or not complying 100% with authority despite your rights in the circumstance. Change this deliberate evil perceptions!

What do you do

if you’re requested (demanded) to comply with an unlawful order? Comply or Die like with what happened with Sandra Bland? Allow your rights to be trampled and only fight back later? What if we all exercised our rights on a regular basis? What’s the REAL cause of these mass incidents of civil unrest with LEOs? Training. They expect compliance. Not complying (and this is the real key) when you aren’t legally required to, does not make you a criminal. Want to change the people’s opinion on “Police State” mindset of today’s government? Train them to know, recognize the execution of, respect and defend our rights.
There’s a local issue where a group, dancing the libel line, is looking to shut down the opening of a gun range on Wolcott Rd in Plymouth, Connecticut called Prepare to Act, and they’re not your every day gun range. There will be many community and family safety programs (and not just about firearms) including the really cool Action Hero School for the kids. You can take part in supporting their efforts by going to the zoning board meeting, August 13th, 7:00pm in the Community Room in the Plymouth Town Hall. After the show I had the pleasure of speaking with Chris Marciano and he said that the venue may change due the levels of support they are getting. We applaud the effort of all for taking part in their community even though we clearly fall on one side of the fence in this particular situation. We ALL need to take a part in our community. This situation shows a few way you can do the same.
