In other news, yesterday 2nd Take is delivered over R73 986 worth of clothing to the SABC as a contribution towards Good Hope FM’s charity drive to be handed over to the good people at Community Chest. We were lucky enough to also be given a slot on the radio to talk a bit about 2nd Take and what we do. If you have any old clothes, why not donate them to charity so that they can benefit the less fortunate? Some of the trends mentioned include layering, vintage-inspired chic, knitwear, metallic and street style, all of which are looks which have been seen on international catwalks. Our lovely models strutted their stuff, showing off these looks in beautiful 2nd Take garments. After the runway show, our guests enjoyed some snacks and drinks and were able to look peruse the rails and do some shopping- and some serious shopping was done!

2nd Take would like to extend a massive ‘thank you’ to The Make-Up Issue- the hair stylists and make-up artists really made our models look fabulous! We would also like to thank our two sponsors for the night: Pat’s Beauty Studio donated a manicure voucher to the value of R100, and Harvey’s Restaurant at Winchester Mansions for donating a R200 meal voucher for our lucky raffle winner! Lastly, we would like to thank our six models- they really rocked our clothes and we could not have done it without you!

The event was undoubtedly the most successful customer evening fashion show that 2nd Take has hosted and we are confident that this is a sign of great things to come! This year ‘The Good Food and Wine Show’ saw Gordon Ramsay in Cape Town. The man himself was part of the event being the main attraction for many Cape Townians that were ready to get their fill. With over a 100 stalls of Food and Wine, this year the event kept to its reputation of being tasty! The fashion style of the event was comfortable and chic.

The headline chef was the Hell’s Kitchen Master, Gordon Ramsay (left) demonstrating and displaying his culinary skills in the food theatre. Needless to say that there was uproar as the King of the kitchen made his appearance.

From a fashion perspective, the Good Food and Wine Show was an event that needed comfortable pants and shoes. With the walking and weaving between delicious stalls and the endless tasting of scrumptious testers of the food and wine, comfort was the key look found at the event. 2nd Take offers exclusive designer items that are perfect to be comfortable and fashionable.

There were many stalls that made their presence known, from sauces and pestos, to meats and cheeses. The Good Food and Wine Show had an ambiance that was fun, festive and fabulous. The aromas of international food and the buzz of foodies moving through the stalls set the perfect atmosphere for the Good Food and Wine Show.

Although this tasty and taste bud exploding event has passed in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg are still to have the Good Food and Wine foodie experience. What people have most been anticipating is the appearance of the terrifying and foul-mouthed celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay.
