I made another video for the college group, this time in the style of old sitcom intros from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It was the answer to our question of “what’s a way to start off College Hill each week with a video introducing the leaders of the group that would be memorable, funny, update-able and would never get old?

Astute readers should recognize my introduction as a spoof on a scene from a favorite 2P START! comic.

When I saw this, I just had to post it as it relates to our Little Big Zone comic from last year. Sonic Sackboys are arriving on Little Big Planet and I must say, Ray wasn’t too far off in his version of the Sonic costume. The other thing to note is who is included in this Sonic pack. We’ve got Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, and…is that? Could it be? No way. WEREHOG?!? *sigh* Oh, Sega, when will you learn…

We harped on the idea of Toad being a big player in the ’seedy underbelly’ of the Mushroom Kingdom back in our Real Estate in a Virtual World comic, but since New Super Mario Bros. Wii is so much like SMB3, it seemed appropriate to give the idea a full comic on its own. Also, since Mario and Luigi are of Italian descent, why wouldn’t Toad be too? I liked the idea of him being a mafia-type thug. That’s why Mario ain’t gettin’ no favas…fuggedaboudit!

Jon Watts joins us again to discuss stories of hilarity while in line for Modern Warfare 2, Sarah’s reaction to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a fanbase that doesn’t know when to stop, Tim’s glee over Excite Bike takes a u-turn, and DUDE, DUDE, DUDE, YOU GUYS, ITS THE BEST iPHONE APP EVER!!!

Not only did I get New Super Mario Bros. Wii for $46.99 instead of $49.99, but I didn’t have to pay tax, got a $10 credit for a future game (Spirit Tracks anyone?), and got free shipping too! Of course I figured the free shipping would mean I’d get the game a week later than everyone, but how about a day AHEAD of release? Heck, I even get an error when trying to register the game on Club Nintendo because it says it’s not out yet!
