Welcome to our living room.. we are all decked out for the season.. This room got quite the christmas transformation.. I changed up our Bookcases with festive decor like our sparkly stars, reindeers and even some nutcrackers.. I even added some faux trees on top of unit instead of our usual globe. Dining Room decorated for the Holidays

So in the dining room I went with a more natural vibe, more wood accents and beige and brown tones to tie into the attached living rooms brown vibe which you will soon see.. So this year I wanted a well decorated home for the holidays.. christmas-ey but not cluttered.. I love decor .. clearly! But even I can see that my home can easily change from clean to chaotic in mere minutes.. I have a lot of STUFF as my mom and aunt like to remind me ;) .. So when my house is clean I think it looks very together and amazing But if its even a little bit messy.. mostly thanks to my little monkeys it can look chaotic and yes cluttered sadly,, so back to my point lol.. so this year I really had to focus in on decor that I was really 'IN LOVE' with.. ONLY!

So whites, polka dots, silver touches.. pretty ! ;)

I feel bad even posting right now with everything else going on in the world. So i'm going to keep this post light and simple. I have always disliked our front doors.. for 4 years I have been dreaming of new doors.. Which is a long time in 'Lisa land' ;).. of course that was before I got a estimate for them.. oh my gosh it was $7000 !! I really had no idea.. I anticipated approx. a third of that. so needless to say even I can rationalize that if its not broke don't change them mentality lol.. See how we achieved a new look for under $250!!

Antique Bench makeover

I'm back! I'm so sorry, I've been M.I.A on the blog for a little over 2 months now.. I've been posting here and there on Instagram.. but honestly I have just been crazy busy with my family and kids but I'm going to try to find a better balance.. between the blog and the fam!! So today i wanted to share one of our more recent makeovers.. Our daughter is 4 now and shows a lot of interest in decorating so I got her involved in this project .. after all it is her bench! The once pastel yellow farmhouse bench sits under her bedroom window.. It was very worn yellow, painted in most likely in lead paint due to age ..so I did a little research and read as long as you don't sand it and you just cover over the lead paint, its fine.. so off to painting we went :) ..

Florida Beach House

So remember a few weeks ago I shared our freshly painted front doors..well here is the beach house we stayed at that inspired the door paint color ;).. The beach house is located on the water in Anna Maria Island, Florida. I'm going to keep the wording to a minimum and really let the house speak for it self.. If anyone is interested in staying here message me and I will pass along contact info...

I fell in love with this door!!! SO many great antique items incorporated throughout the home.

It even came with a great little drink bar on the 3rd level ;)

But hello the best part of this home.. the VIEW!! it was insane to wake up too..

The floors and shiplap walls were heaven.. totally inspired me to do light flooring next time round ;)

And the bonus was this fab. outdoor entertainment area.. huge hit for my hubby!

First let me just say I LOVE LOVE LOVE this paint color.. back in December we stayed at an amazing beach house in Florida with this color in almost all of the rooms.. I actually forgot to share that homes decor.. it was a mix of my 2 fav. decor styles.. farmhouse meets beach house, absolute heaven! so I will go through some pics and share all about it soon.. anyways in the mean time I fell in love with this paint color.. I don't have a wall to paint YET.. so I decided to paint it on the inside of our front doors.. and It is so amazing!! So here it is..

Round Kitchen Table Makeover

We recently had our antique kitchen table refinished. It is a solid walnut so I knew with some work it could be beautiful again.. the table had tons of wear and blemishes with a orangey-reddish, glossy finish.. so it was definetely time for a much needed update.. Because spare time has been hard to come by these days I hired a company to finish the table for me. Great prices, quality work. And I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Now it flows perfect with our RH burnt oak chairs and our wooden island pendant lights.. yay!! see all the details below..

so we finally upgraded our entry :) we have a very open designed foyer with very small amount of wall space :(.. making it quite difficult to style .. I always knew I wanted a practical spot to put the kids shoes on.. and of course a spot to place the keys and mail .. and well I finally found it!!!

Deciding on a sectional sofa for our small space

For me deciding on a NEW sofa / sectional was a very hard decision.. I obviously love the idea of sectionals as I have just realized that is all I own!!! one in our rec room, family room and now living room.. omg whats wrong with me?? lol!! But really its because I love how many people can fit on a sectional, and the comfort.. aside from a recliner they can be the best way to put your feet up after a long day.. Happy 2017.. I know I haven't posted in a while, I took a step away from the blog for a bit to spend quality time with my family but I'm back and ready to share more fun home reveals.. So here is what we have been up to lately.. With the Christmas decor all packed away.. neatly I may add.. did anyone else get bitten by the organizing bug this year?.. even my hardware/tool drawer got organized.. its so gratifying!!
