Oh, my dear furiends, I'm surprised that more of you didn't realize, I was merely yawning in that picture! Victor was not biting my butt... I mean 'tocks... for once. All I had to say was, "Mom, put the camera away and let us nap!" But it IS a funny picture, isn't it?

Today is quite a day! It is our good furiend Derby's purrthday! He has a thing about kitty 'tocks, I guess. He wants to see all our 'tocks during this lovely month of Tock-Tober. Boy-kitties have some strange ideas, but... Oh! If we show our 'tocks, Derby's mom will give green papers to the shelter he came from! As former shelter kitties, Victor and I are happy to "paw"ticipate!

Oh, well, I wasn't *really* sure about showing my 'tocks. I'd rather get close to Mom for more scritches. Then I arch my back and I'm too close for the flashy box! Heh, heh, that's my plan. But she tricked me into a picture even rarer than my 'tocks!

Oh, the beans are spending almost the whole weekend playing with trains! We decided to have some fun of our own...

Of course we'll nap at Sweet Praline's slumber party, but we're also visiting Wendy's LOL-Spot! She's taking lots of our pictures and making them funny! Or, in Victor's case, funnier.

So, we're hoping you all will go with us to Praline's Slumber party (can you say nap pile?) and Wendy's LOL-Spot. Gosh, we'll be so busy, we won't miss our beans at all!

Defective Staff?

Mom's been torturin Nina wif da ear drops all week, an den da vet called to say it's defective staff in her ear. Ear staff invective? Staff inflection? Whatefur, her hadded to go back today so da vet could look agin an poke her wif anofur Aunty Biotic. Who knew der was so many Biotic Aunties?

Now we's hidin in da basement, just in case Mom starts grabbin us again. You nefur know!

We's been tryin to help Mom wif da piggies, but she won't let Nina pre-nom da string. I just make sure she puts plenty of catnip inside each one. An den I's in charge of inventory.

PS: Da winner of da crazy tail in Monty Q's Doin the Q Contest was Siena, a cat wif her own garden! We sended her the Fling-ama-string, an you can see how much she an Chilli like it on der blog today. Makin them happy makes me... purrrrrrrr.

Oh! Is it really Thursday already? I'm trying to help Mom make the catnip piggies from the Hams of the Werld Tour, but there sure have been strange things going on! The beans seem quite stressed and angry and I think the boy did something wrong. He was such a cute little guy in this picture! I've been purring and rubbing on Mom to help her calm down. Victor doesn't know anything either.

Oh, ::scratch scratch scratch, head shake:: can anyone get this itch out of my ear? ::head shake:: It's been bugging me all week. Mom keeps grabbing me and says she's trying to clean my ear, but ::scratch:: it still itches. I don't want to go to the vet! ::rub, rub, rub::

Mom says today is 9-9-09 an therefur, CAT DAY... no matter what sum ofurs mite say. Where would da interwebs be wifout cats? Ofurrun wif mousies I bet!

Wow, what a toor we had! I nefur eated so much ham, pork, bacon an ham in my life! An what grate transpurrtashun! First da weiner mobile an then the TARDIS?! All I can say is WOW. An I wanna fank da Meezers fur hostin da toor pics on thems bloggy. They'll haf sum candid toor pictors tomorrow.

Mom's bin busy playin wif string an her toy-makin machine. She says she's mass producin catnip piggies, but all I see is pink felt, string, an squiggles.

I don't really care what she's doin until she stuffs them wif CATNIP! Then I help. Piggy produckshun almost came to halt Munday nite when all sudden-like, Mom's machine would only so in reverse! She's goin back an forth lots, so dis could be a prolem. Then Nina suggested turnin all da dials an switches an shtuff, an it popped back into forward. Whew, dat coulda been bad.

She says dese is early "proton-types for testin her pattern idears". The final piggies is rounder an better, kinda like da upper leftest one wif legs like da upper rite. Whatefur, as long as they gots CATNIP!

Nina didn't like da first one Mom made... we couldn't tell if it were a mousie or a ham or what. Disapprovin kitteh disapproves!

We's also bin bizzy helpin Monty Q wif him's Doing the Q contest! We is sendin a brand new Fling-am-a-String to the winner of da Curly Q tail CATegory. But I can't say who wins until Monty posts it! So it's a seecrit fur a little longer.

As if dat's not enuf fun (an pictors), Skittles asked if anyone could pronounce da name of hers Catifornia town, Port Hueneme! Mom an I knowed that - Why Knee Mee. Skittles said she'd send us a purrize, an yesterday it camed!

Mom's supposed to be working on nip hams, but she's still making "prototypes" instead, whatever that is. Now she asked the boy for help drawing a flying pig! Beans is weird.

Hey efurryone! Fursday starts the Hams of the Werld Tour 2009. We is all teleportin to Auntie Deb’s howse an then we is takin the WIENER MOBILE to Smith-fields ham place an chowin down!!! (Nom nom!) Then we will all climb back in the wiener mobile an go to where Mr Hendrix lives and take a sight seeing tour of “Porkopolis” on Friday! Then back in the wiener mobile to get to Skittles’ house on Monday for yoga an a ham fest! Tuesday it’s off to London an the Smith-field meat market an a visit to our furriends that lif across the pond!

Me an Miles Meezer will be your tour guides. Der will be an opportunaty to purchase a handmade nip ham to raise money for sick and financially strapped kitties. We hopes to raise lotsa green papers! An we hopes to haf a LOT of kitties an woofies an buns on the tour wif us!!!

Oh furiends, I have a happy story for you! One year ago today, I was in a cage outside, next to lots of other cages with kitties. I was in the last cage on the top row. Lots of people came and went and some even talked to me! I don't know why I wasn't under my blanket, except it was such a nice day. Then a nice man stopped to talk to me. He spoke softly and let me sniff his fingers. Since he was so nice, I licked them. Well, he seemed to like that and started to give me chin skritches. Oh, this was a man who tasted good, talked softly and gave good chin skritches (right there, yes that's the spot)! So I started purring.

Well, the rest, as they say, is history! That man and his family took me home and put me in the bathroom. There was a boy kitty who told me it was his house, then wanted to know all about me. Of course, that's Victor and we've become great friends, groommates and playmates. I cautiously explored the house one room at a time and spent a lot of time in small spaces where I could watch and listen without being bothered. Of course, I also spent a lot of time getting to know my people and Victor.

Now, I couldn't be happier! We eat good food, watch birds and squirrels out the windows, play a lot, and sleep on the big bed with Mom and Dad at night. Victor can be annoying, but we rarely fight. And I know all the best hidey holes for when I want some deep, uninterrupted sleep. Oh, and of course, I have an amazing worldwide network of furiends through this blog and the Cat Blogosphere!

As you may remember, I got my birthday wish for a forever home. My Gotchaversary wish, if I may, is for many, many more kitties to find their forever homes! Just thinking of that makes me purr, purr, purr.
