Traveling club layout update

The new traveling layout is coming together at KAMR. This layout is based in n-scale so most of the n-scalers are working on it trying to get it done. I have done just a little on it adding scenery to just one small area but there are alot of people working on it to make it come together and look good. So as far as the update goes alot more scenery has been places the buildings still have to be place and so does the road and whatnot in the small city area. Also the bridge for the car-overpass needs to be built as well. So check out the pictures and you will see more about whats going on and such.

First real weathered boxcar

Hey everyone i just thought i would post a couple pictures of my first NScale weathered boxcar!! Yeah i know its not that great but i think its pretty good for my first one! So let me know what you think. I will try to get up a couple more pictures of the wheels and stuff i think those came out better than the boxcar itself! Thanks hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hey everyone here is a video i just put together. Its nothing special just some footage of me running my new SD40 at the KAMR Club Layout for N Scale. Its a great layout and they are all really nice people so if you are interested in joining then check out their site. Just thought I would make a post and let you all know its official I’m now a member of the Knoxville Area Model RailRoaders (KAMR)! Glad to be apart of a group that is very dedicated to their work, and let me tell you if you haven’t been to check out the museum you have to! You are missing out if you don’t! I’ll keep you updated later on what all is going on and such. Cant wait to meet again with everyone!

Greenbergs Train & Toy Show!

Hey everyone i just went to a great train show today! It was in Monroeville, PA at the Monroeville Convention Center you can check out all the information you need here. I will have to post up some pictures later, but i got a total of 16 cars, and one engine. Their were not really any buildings for n scale but for HO and others their were alot, but they sure did have the train gear and other small things. Most of the vendors where local shops and such. And alot of the things at the show where larger/older trains. Besides that the area with the layouts were great! They gave me a ton of good ideas for my layout when i get around to it.

Great show! If you ever get the chance to stop in its only 7 dollars and its worth every penny i think!

Well I’m in PA right now spending some time and I wanted to check out two hobby stores I used to visit a lot a long time ago when I lived here before. The first I went to visit was AB-Charles then to Brady’s Train Outlet. They are both great stores for anyone looking to get into trains. The only downside I noticed was they did not have a lot of new N Scale items. Mostly used trains and cars were what they had, but they did have some great building kits and I did score on a few DPM building kits, 2 for 10 bucks. They were the older style kits but whatever they will work great for me! I also found 4 Ore cars for 7 bucks each. Originally they were around 12 bucks but they were also used and in mint condition, so not too bad there on price. So if you are in the Pittsburgh area check out these two stores! Pretty good prices on everything that I looked at.
