Wristcutters: A Love Story

During the Mar del plata Film Fest, I watched several movies but one of those took my attention, I really don´t know why. Maybe it was it´s black humor, or the intelligence from the script. But one thing is for sure, this movie hit me by surprise. When you are in a festival you go to the movies that you can take tickets of... this one, was one of those.
The movie directed by Goran Dukic,interpreted by Patrick Fugit, Shannyn Sossamon, Shea Whigham and Tom Waits, shows an afterlife world for suiciders (sort of limbo), where Zia arrives to this parallel world after he killed him self because of a breakup with his girlfriend, to realise that suicide dosn´t solve anything, in fact every thing is the same but "a little bit worst". He soon discover that his ex has joined into this world, and with the help of his russian friend Eugene they start a trip in this dusty, gray place with the hope of founding her.

I really don´t know when is going to be release date in Argentina, but i think you must see this movie if you have the opportunity.

A Scanner Darkly

Yesterday i watched "A Scanner Darkly" directed by Linklater, with a hand full of stars Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Robert Downey Jr. and Woody Harrelson.
The plot occurs in a not-so-far away future where the battle against drugs is lost, the 20 % of the population is addicted to the "Substance D".
Fred (Reeves) is a undercover cop, he has to deal with his double identity and with his addiction to the "D".

This film has the characteristic of begin rotoscoped, giving life in a reality with high tech surveillance and drug induced illusions.
The first scene is the perfect example of this, when one of the characters is in the middle of a ´delirium tremens´ attack.

Well i hope you enjoy this movie, like i did.

Hey, i got a brand new GPS!, this beauty is eqquiped with a Sirf Star III , a high receiving sensitivity and fast position fix GPS chipset.

It's a little bit big but has a really nice 160 x 240, 256 color display perfect for any kind of activity.
Other feature that i love is the microSD slot, expanding the capacity when storing Maps, with 512mb, i had loaded all the provinces of argentina, topographic & marine leaving plenty of space for many more maps.
This GPS is ready for any kind of abuse..
Linux support works like a charm if you are using last stable 2.6 kernel.
