This pair of Claiborne dress pants are perfect for work and they're a great deal. Plus they come in 30x30 and 30x32. For me, solid black pants are perfect because they go with almost any dress shirt. They also come in charcoal and a navy color.

Here's my only complaint about these pants: their name (is this becoming a theme?). I did a little research and some of the nerds out there might recognize it from the strategic computer game, Dune. Here 's the Wikipedia entry.

At only $34.99, I'm thinking about buying these wool blend pants in all three colors. I love wool blend pants because they don't wrinkle like cotton but they have a more expensive feel like wool pants.

I don't have a product review today (blame 9 hour meetings and a Friday evening bottle of wine and my favorite pizza place), but I do have a major issue. The knee of my favorite pair of 30" jeans is going to rip our within the next three weeks. I've noticed that it's thinning for the last couple of months but after I washed them a couple of nights ago they started to present a couple of small holes. My favorite jeans are Paper, Denim & Cloth 30" with some cool embroidered pockets. I know what you're thinking: just go but another pair of the same jeans. Well, it took me months to find this pair and I bought them at Filene's Basement in Chicago for only $50. I haven't seen a decent pair of designer 30" waist jeans since for under $100. 32" jeans? I've see thousands of pairs. But not 30x32 which is the only size I can wear. So I ask our faithful readers this question: How do I stop a pair of jeans from ripping. Please don't tell me to stop wearing them so often. That's just not fair.

Size 30 jeans are easier to find than size 30 dress pants but I still have trouble locating that perfect pair. Wow. These Chip and Pepper jeans are designer denim at its best. My dad has them and loves to talk about his "big pickle"...jeans. Which brings up a good point: These are good for young and old(er) people alike. They have a wider leg and a relaxed fit so they are guaranteed to be comfortable. They look broken in but NOT like they were dragged behind a semi across the Arizona desert, thru a painters pallet and then doused with battery acid. In other words, they are casual Friday approved. Just avoid the Hawaiian shirt. Okay?

Of note: These come in size 29 if 30 is just a little too big.

Calling all greens... Much to my surprise, bamboo pants really do exist. These Bobby Jones double pleated trousers (hey two pleats must be better than one) can be yours for the low, low price of $225 in size 30. Do I think they are stylish? No. Do I think they are overpriced? Yes. But are they good for the environment? It's a definite maybe. If you ever have dinner with Al Gore, these are must!

You might be surprised to find out that there are other bamboo clothes available. Like this New Balance Men's Bamboo BioCool shirt. It even comes in some great bold colors.

Despite their exceedingly stupid name, "Take a Gab", these Kenneth Cole Reaction pants are very stylish and $20 cheaper through Amazon than if you bought them at Macy's. On sale for $44.99, these flat front pants come in four colors so you can go casual khaki, traditional charcoal or a couple of variants thereof. They are made out of micro polyester so they won't wrinkle and you can tell all of your friends that your pants are made from rotten dinosaurs. Just in case any Greenpeace members read this blog, my next post will feature pants made from bamboo. Oh yeah, these come in 30x30 and 30x32 so you shouldn't have trouble finding a size that fits. It's a special day when I can feature pants that are casual, dressy, a great deal and they fit us skinny folk.
