个，所以通过这个锻炼以后，我这十几种小病我觉得就都去根了。现在呢，我通过这几年锻炼以后非常灵活了，颈椎没问题，腰椎没问题，腿也没问题了。原来我这个腿膝盖以下的浮肿挺厉害，我的小外孙把个球踢过来，我再把这个球给他踢回去就疼了一眼泪。这是刚退下来的第一个月因为这个膝盖以下浮肿的挺厉害，不听使唤，挺疼的，一动就挺疼的；我现在搞下蹲以后呢，我这个腿不浮肿了，这 3 、 4 年不浮肿了。现在我蹲得很到位。我原来蹲了，就蹲十来个，现在我能蹲到底，能蹲 80 个，。通过这个下蹲，通过全面的 312 锻炼，我觉得我的精神好了，体力也增强了。我原来失眠，我二十几岁就失眠。上班的时候就睡个 3 、 4 个小时觉，白天没精神，我说我活不到 60 岁。现在，我通过锻炼以后，精神好了，体力也增强了，有信心健健康康的活到 100 岁。”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br One should think about nothing else but concentrating your mind at the "Dantian"(丹田), 5 cm below the novel, and keep the chest stable to eliminate any chest respiration. The Hungarian, now serving as the president of Hungarian Society of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, has a strong faith in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and especially its core concept of meridian theory. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;He was the organizer of the first International Meridian Conference in 1985 and also the first discoverer of plant meridian through applying thermograph. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;He has known Dr Zhu Zongxiang, the inventor of the exercise, for more than two decades, and believes the simple exercise incorporates the essence of TCM and greatly benefit his people. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;However, he admitted that in Western countries, it was more difficult for people to accept such a foreign idea. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;He especially targeted poor people, who would benefit most from the exercise. "Western medicine is growing to be more and more expensive. As medical practitioners, we have to give something to poor people to enhance their health level. It should be cheap with no side effects," he said. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;In Hungary, he organizes medical volunteers to go onto the streets to provide free blood-pressure measurement services for passers-by. If a person's blood pressure is high, the volunteers suggest the 312 exercise. Daily exercises for 25 minutes will keep people healthy and vigorous, according to doctor Zhu Zongxiang.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Comparatively, in Southeast Asian countries, such as Malaysia and Singapore, the scope of 312 exercises is much more extensive. In Singapore there are 80,000 registered practitioners and in Malaysia there are 160,000. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Zhu credited Huang Yucheng, a Chinese Malaysian businessman, for its rapid expansion. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Huang owned an electronics company and as his business was flourishing in 1989, he suddenly felt stomach pains. He was later diagnosed with urinary calculus and gouty arthritis. At first he relied on drugs to relieve the pain, but years later, he gradually developed resistance to the drugs and his physical condition worsened everyday. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Huang decided to blaze another trail to regain health. He practiced Tai Chi and tried all kinds of TCM. Later, and by accident, he received a disk of 312 meridian exercises from a friend and followed the instructions by the teacher in the video. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;One year later his pain went away and he gradually regained his strength and vigor. &lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;In the 1990s, according to Huang, there were hundreds of thousands of disks of 312 meridian exercises spreading in Southeast Asia. In a few old and shabby rooms situated near a group of ancient buildings in Beijing, the old doctor has stubbornly persisted in learning more about the meridians of acupuncture for more than 30 years. He often said he was a traitor to Western medicine.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Since the 1950s, he had been teaching physiology, a basic medical subject, in Peking Union Medical College Hospital. However, a decision in 1973 changed his life.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;That year, he was inspired by Premier Zhou Enlai's appeal to Chinese medical experts to make clear the theory of acupuncture. Zhou's call for action followed US President Richard Nixon's visit to China in 1972.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"&gt; &lt;tbody&gt;&lt;tr&gt; &lt;td&gt;&lt;img alt="" md5="" src="http://images.china.cn/images1/200705/393804.jpg" border="1" /&gt;&lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt; &lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;  &lt;p align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;Zhu Zongxiang (right) talks with a practioner of 312 meridian exercises.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Zhu joined the acupuncture meridian research group of the Institute of Biophysics under Chinese Academy of Sciences.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Meridian points were discovered in China 2,500 years ago. In &lt;em&gt;Huang Di Nei Jing&lt;/em&gt; (&lt;em&gt;The Medical Classic of the Yellow Emperor&lt;/em&gt;), one of the most important ancient medical classics, the meridians were recorded to have the function of "promoting circulation of Xueqi (Blood and Qi) and balancing yin and yang" and "determining life and death and treating hundred diseases."&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;The meridians were discovered to be a general controlling system for the human body and had the function of preventing diseases and promoting health and longevity. Today, TCM doctors still insert acupuncture needles into the acupoints along the meridians to treat diseases.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;However, the existence of the meridians has always been questioned by Western medicine.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;To justify the theory, doctor Zhu and his colleagues had spent more than 10 years to experiment with modern methods to demonstrate its biophysical existence.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;In the 1980s, the researchers successfully showed the 14 meridians in human body through biophysical methods, which are surprisingly identical to that recorded in ancient classical meridian graph.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;For visitors suspicious towards his research, doctor Zhu would proudly demonstrate his two proof tests to them.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;He used a mallet to tap different areas on the elbow until the patient heard a loud sound measured through a device similar to the stethoscope. Zhu then marked a red spot at that point.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;A line of the red spots determined by the same method is actually showing the position of a meridian, according to Zhu.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;He would then place two electrodes of a current meter on the line and stimulation of the current could be felt. When one electrode was placed off the line, one would feel nothing. Acupuncture and massage on strategic points along the meridian zones can improve health.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Even after Zhu published his breakthrough findings, the scientific world still did not change their skeptical attitude. And the debate on meridians is ongoing and interpretations of the phenomenon vary among scientists.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;In ancient times, meridians was a philosophical concept invented by ancient Chinese doctors to summarize the general functions of the human body, according to Wu Gencheng, director of Institute of Acupuncture Research, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. The institute had been researching acupuncture for decades.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;"We believe that the meridians' functions are closely related with the nerves, but it is impossible in modern science to find the material equivalent to the meridians described in the ancient time. It is hard to imagine a new passage way in the human body," said Wu.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;In a further blow to Zhu's efforts, the Institute stopped funding their research.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Zhu did not give up and established Beijing Yanhuang Meridian Center to design the meridian based exercise to promote people's health and longevity. Zhu calls it the "3-1-2" method.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;According to Zhu, 3 refers to massaging three acupoints of hegu on the hand neiguan on the wrist and zusanli on the knee.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;1 refers to abdominal breathing, actually a form of simplified qigong (breathing exercise), through which Zhu believed could exercise the meridians in the abdomen area being closely related with chronic diseases.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;2 refers to the physical exercise of both legs. Zhu believed the most simple and effective exercise is squatting down and standing up.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"&gt; &lt;tbody&gt;&lt;tr&gt; &lt;td&gt;&lt;img alt="" md5="" src="http://images.china.cn/images1/200705/393806.jpg" border="1" /&gt;&lt;/td&gt; &lt;/tr&gt; &lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;  &lt;p align="center"&gt;&lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;Of the 312 meridian exercises, the number of 3 refers to massaging three acupoints of &lt;em&gt;hegu&lt;/em&gt; on the hand (left) &lt;em&gt;neiguan&lt;/em&gt; on the wrist (center) and &lt;em&gt;zusanli&lt;/em&gt; on the knee (right).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;"Physical exercise will involve the excitation of all the meridians spreading in the whole body," he explained.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;In fact, in Zhu's views, the health benefits of all kinds of physical exercise are actually coming from the enhancement of the meridians in the process.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Daily exercises for 25 minutes will keep people young and vigorous, prevent and treat many senile and difficult diseases and relieve some common diseases, Zhu claims.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;During the past 17 years, Zhu had formally trained more than 10,000 people, mostly elderly people. "Though the popularization of the exercise is slow, I obtain valuable proof information from them that the exercise is effective for health promotion," he said.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Zhang Yawen, 74, was a typical beneficiary of 312 exercises. She was a college professor and had long been inflicted by hypertension and arthritis, which often made her sleepless at night.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;She claimed her health improved a lot after she followed 312 exercises for a few months. Now she has the confidence to live to 100.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Zhu conducted a study among more than 8,000 people attending his training class, 95 percent of whom suffered from chronic diseases such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, asthma, diabetes and arthritis.                  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class="fbody" id="zoom"&gt;　　編者按：“312”經絡鍛煉法由祝總驤教授所創，他先后在北京醫科大學、中國協和醫科大學、中國科學院生物物理所從事教學科研工作，曾用兩種生物物理 學方法，証實了人體經絡的客觀存在和它對人體的醫療保健作用。他根據中醫學經絡理論和長期積累起來的中醫實踐及氣功、武術等經驗，提出並向社會推薦這一人 人可行、行之有效、自我防病治病的經絡鍛煉方法。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　今天，本版刊登&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;這一鍛煉方法，有興趣者不妨一試。&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　中醫學經絡理論是2500年前中國先哲對人類的偉大貢獻，根據經絡學說，經絡具有“行血氣、營陰陽”、“決死生、處百病”的重要作用，歷史上中醫防病治病、保健長壽法，如中藥、針灸、推拿、導引、氣功、武術等，無一不是在經絡理論的指導下進行的。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　所謂“312”，“3”指合谷、內關、足三裡3個穴位的按摩﹔“1”是意守丹田、腹式呼吸﹔“2”是兩下肢下蹲為主、適當的體育活動。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);"&gt;具體取穴和鍛煉的做法如下：&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"&gt;1.穴位按摩&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　合谷穴取穴：左手四指並攏，虎口撐開，然后右手握拳豎起大拇指，在拇指中間有一條指橫紋，把指橫紋放在左手的虎口處，這時大拇指往前彎曲，指尖所指的穴位就是合谷穴。然后就可以把右手翻過來進行按壓。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　鍛煉要點：拇指屈曲垂直，做一緊一鬆的按壓，按壓的力量要強，應有酸麻脹的感覺。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　內關穴取穴：在我們手腕處有幾條橫紋，在緊挨著手的橫紋處放上右手的食指、中指、無名指，在手臂的兩條筋中間食指按下去的地方就是我們所要找的內關穴。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　鍛煉要點：拇指垂直按在穴位上，指甲要和兩筋平行，用指尖有節奏地按壓，配合一些揉的動作，要有酸麻脹的感覺。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　足三裡穴取穴：把一隻手的四指放在膝蓋骨的下面，另一隻手的大拇指去按壓與小指的交界點（脛骨?外一橫指處），這裡就是我們所要找的足三裡穴。這個穴位自古以來就是長壽保健穴，這個穴位不是很好找，找時應該多一些耐心。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　鍛煉要點：拇指垂直下按，增加揉的動作，力度要大，不僅有酸麻脹的感覺，最好還要有一些竄的感覺。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　3個穴位按壓每兩秒一次，早晚各一次，每次做5分鐘。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"&gt;2.腹式呼吸&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　所謂腹式呼吸就是平躺或者靜坐著做的呼吸練習，用鼻吸氣的時候要鼓腹部，用口呼氣時腹部凹下，保持胸部不動，讓呼吸的頻率盡量放慢，這個方法可以促進各個臟器的氣血流動。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　鍛煉要點：盡量放鬆，意守丹田（肚臍下3寸處），保持胸部不動，每分鐘呼吸4至6次，每天早晚各做一次，每次5分鐘。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"&gt;3.下蹲運動&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　以兩條腿為主的體育運動主要就是雙手平舉做下蹲運動，也可以是慢跑、散步等運動。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　鍛煉要點：每次運動時間不宜過長，建議每天5至10分鐘即可，但每天一定要堅持。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);"&gt;“312”經絡鍛煉法還要因人因病而異，靈活運用。應掌握以下特點：&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"&gt;1.“3”個穴位按摩的特點&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　 　穴位按摩的作用原理就是通過按摩這種刺激使有關穴位下的經脈得氣，即產生酸、麻、脹、以至“竄”的感覺后被激活，該經的血氣暢通，常可以達到使所屬的組 織、器官產生即時的效果。如心絞痛發作時按摩內關穴常常立即使疼痛得到控制﹔而按摩合谷穴則對頭面或牙痛有即時效應。所以隻取3個穴位，是因為這3個穴位 如果正確運用，就可以影響到全身的疾病，做法簡單易行、有利普及。這裡並不排除全身300多個穴位的運用。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"&gt;2.“1”個腹式呼吸的特點&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　 　腹式呼吸的特點是大腦和全身處於相對靜止狀態下，使全身尤其腹部9條經脈血氣運行得到改善，是一種比較緩慢的經絡鍛煉，對於慢性病，如高血壓、糖尿病和 失眠症都有特效。然而這3種病和腹式呼吸的關系也各有不同，高血壓病的原因是肝陽上亢，腎氣陰虛，做好腹式呼吸，可以使肝陽下降，腎陰上升，一般需要延長 時間到10分鐘，並放慢呼吸頻率到每分鐘4次甚至更慢可更為奏效。而糖尿病的發病原因是脾、胃經功能失控，腹式呼吸有利於這兩條經脈的血氣活躍，達到控制 血糖的效果。腹式呼吸能夠控制失眠，也在於安靜狀態下思想集中於丹田，使9條經脈包括肝、腎經的陰陽達到平衡而入睡。&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　　&lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"&gt;3.“2”條腿為主的體育鍛煉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;　 　體育運動也是經絡鍛煉，這是因為經脈是以一種立體結構和肌肉聯系在一起，當運動時，肌肉的收縮與舒張必然帶動有關經脈的組織結構活動起來，從而形成一種 天然的激活經絡的方式。全身肌肉的運動必然引起全身十二正經和奇經八脈活躍起來，同時全身氣血運行迅速加強，表現在心跳、呼吸加快，血壓上升，體溫上升 等，從而對四肢百骸、五臟六腑的功能也進行一次大調正。這種大調正有助於全身各器官功能的增強和疾病的控制。 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
