Google Adsense Help!

Despite at one point havign a steady (yet small) income from running adsense on this site. In the past week I have earnt a big fat $0.00 from it.

My traffic levels have dropped slightly, yet I still have a decent amount of visitors but No money.

So I am seeking the advice of pro's out there what can I do to increase my adsense earnings. I know everyone say's I should put the adds inside my posting but I don;t want an adsense overload. But I guess if this site is about making money then that's what i'm gona have to do.

Any help appreciated.

A new challenge arises - Make $100 online

Recently the 31-day-challenge ended. Although I have found myself often thining about what I could of done better, and how I could of made more money from the internet. So I have set myself to start a new challenge - to make $100 dollars online. I already managed to make nearly $30 in the first week from the internet alone.

Why make $100? Well to be honest I need a challenge to puch myself necause I am very lazy. Also because I have had money coming in after the challenge from referalls and I wanted to write about this so you can make money this way too. Plus I REALLY really want a cheque from google for my adsense earnings - Just to frame it really. Sounds strange but I guess that would be a sign for my achievement.
Anyway here is how I plan to make it to $100

1. Money from Google adsense adds I have on this blog.
2. Money from referalls from sites such as THIS THIS and THIS
3. Other money making schemes online which I will report on.

If you know of any sites to refer me to let me know.
The challenge is back on!

Okay so it's the end of the challenge.
Mission failed... Well not quite - I learnt alot along the way about web design, blogging, e.t.c If you browse through past posts you could pick up some handy tips.

The main thing I learnt is traffic = money. But I don;t have enough time to keep this up.

Uh Oh - This is less then I earnt yesterday for this first time in the whole challenge. My adsense earnings dropped massively (money from google ads on my blog). So I guess this officialy means the challenge has been broken. No! However I have decided to keep posting. Hopefully I can redeem my self by earning lots !

Another site where you do offers e.t.c Yet I did nothing for this money - They have a great referal system. All you do is sign up for free and they pay you 20% of what your referals make and 10% of what their referals make! But the best bit is that they pay you $1.00 for every u.s member who joins (free)!

Just put your referal link on your blog, in forums e.t.c and you are sure to make some easy money this way.

Money from referals, - againI recommend this site though for getting good traffic to your blog.

Make Money from Your Photos

I found a promising new site - Share-a-pic, which allows you to earn money from your photos. You can upload photos that you have on your computer (they even have a new system where you can upload lots at once).

You then get paid per page 1000 page views of your images - AND this is the good thing, you can put your adsense I.D into the site, and it lets you display google ads on your photo gallery page - which you can make money from too.

Referals - If you refer friends or family Share-a-Pic Pay you 10% of their image views for life!

Making Money With Friend Finder

Hey - I am testing out new site which I signed up to today (free) Friend Finder.
I keep hearing about people online making money from this site so did some research into it and the main way people seem to be making money is by reffering webmasters - or Bloggers !

For example - if you own a blog, you can promote this site through banners and other free promotional tools available there.

E.g A banner from the site.

So you sign up for free, copy and paste the banner to your blog and when you refer members Friend Finder will pay you Equal to 10% of their earnings (not deducted from their earnings but from FriendFinder).

So that's one way that's being done. There is another way you can earn money - by referring people to sign up to the site Friend Finder as an actual member (not affilate/webmaster e.t.c). You can then choose between 3 affiliate programme types, They are:

1. Earn $1.00 per man and $2.00 per Woman that signs up for a free account.
2. Recieve a percentage of orders and re-orders.
3. Make $25 Per Order.

They have some great free promotion tools to catch the visitors eye, including popunders, banners, members pics .....

Recently there are many new blogs with people saying they are making over several hundred dollars a month from just having a link on their site. Anyway I will test it out for a while - and of course let you all know how I got on - and most importantly exacty How much money I made!

Just went to check my earnings and there is a notice saying they are creating several new sites in different languages! I don't know what this means about payment - if what I am owed carries on or not! I hope so - as they were a good company with over 70,000 members and had been running for a while!

Gain Pay - 0.25

Not a millionaire yet, but i'm quite proud of myself that I managed to make any money online, there are some good schemes out there you just need to search, give each one a try for a few days and find what works for you. (none of these I have properly worked on, I have just tested and spent a little time on each site, you could make alot more if you put some time in.

Great and easy because they pay you the same day.

The Next Level...

Hey,
I Recently announced I would start a 'New Venture' - a new way which which hopefully make me money online. So what is this 'New Venture'? First let me explain my opinions on 'The different ways to make money online'. I feel there are 2 main types of ways - each with many subcatagories inside, they are;

WORKING FOR THE SYSTEM - The oldskool way!
What I mean by this is any income generated online through websites such as writing, doing surveys, submitting articles or content Examples of sites like these are - Helium. Media Dollarz and Mylot . This category is what I have been mainly testing out at the moment.

THE SYSTEM WORKING FOR YOU - The newskool way!
The other way is through creating a portfolio online of niche websites and blogs and then monetize them (just the tip of the iceburg). If that completely doesn't make any sense don’t worry all will be explained! To be honest it was all Jargon to me, but I have been researching alot.

So what is the Next level for this challenge? Well I am going to attempt to create a new blog, which will be monetized through affiliate marketing and promotion of products relevent to that niche. For example say I start a blog all about Hair, the blog will have products for sale to do with haircare e.t.c It gets much more in depth then that! But I think it will be exiting, as I will be doing this step by step and explaining how I am doing this along the way.
I may fail, but atleast I can say I have given it a go!

So I am just deciding on my niche (what specific topic I should write about), then step 2 will begin.

If anyone has any ideas for niches or tips then let me know,

Didn't post that much more then yesterday, but used some of those tips that I wrote about and helped increase earnings. Also bringing extra traffic to this blog.

This is passive income coming in from 10 articles I have on there.

So there it is - Tommorow is Day 7 and I will post my total earnings for the whole week too. I'm quite suprised at the amount I have been making as I havent really put much time and effort into any one of these systems, I think if you really enjoyed writing or one of the schemes mentioned above you could make a nice amount of passive income.
I am also starting a new venture in this blog - different from these schemes - but a way to make bigger bucks apparently. I have never tried it before so you can watch my progress step by step.

10 Quick and simple ways to increase your Mylot earnings.

1.Customize your profile - add information about yourself - this will get more people looking at your posts.
2. Respond to everyone your discussions - this will get people talking more and increase your earnings.
3. Set daily targets that you want to achieve e.g Today I most post 10 discussions.
4. Use tags this helps link your discussions and will increase views
5. Send a nice email to everyone in your inbox informing them about Mylot, add your refferal link.
6. Review and link - Mylot on your blog.
7. Put a A Mylot link in your signature of all the forums you post on.
8. Use Mylot as a form of advertising - for your blog and sites, - put your Blog link in your profile and you will see an increase in traffic.
9.Use a spreadsheet e.g google have free ones, to write down earnings, you can keep an eye on what earns you the most money.

Doubled my earnings from yesterday. Here is the breakdown -

Media Dollarz $4.70
This site is amazing I literally joined an spent about 5 minutes on here doing a couple of surveys - then I requested payment and got paid - practically straight away into my paypal account. There is no minimum you have to wait until you get paid like many of the other sites. (tip once you join complete the free surveys). Definately a good find.

Adsense - $1.50
Down a bit from yesterday - but still good as I didn't even have to do anything.

Helium - $0.02
From 10 articles on there, not very good but still passive income.

MyLot - $0.02
Not great for earning money ( I didn't write very much though). But it is a good way to promote your blog/site and get traffic.

Review Stream - $0.30
One article published at bulk rate.

So i'm happy made $6 for not doing very much! Hope I beat this tommorow!

So the main aim for today was to increase the traffic to my blog.

* UPDATE - I have just found out that using blog mad is apprently against google adsense TOS. I was totally unaware of this and I am goign to delete my account from there - but if you are not using adsense then I guess it is worth a look at.

Whilst searching for blog directories I came across a site called Blog Mad. I quite like the concept, basically you add your blog and you get credits by surfing blogs. Then you can use these credits for traffic to your own blog, by having banners or links to your. You get a certain amount of credits free when you join so I'm just going to use them and see if I get an increase.

I got paid by Media Dollarz Which was a big suprise because I only spent like 2 minutes on there. (find out how much in my next post). It's great because you can request payment whenever you wan't and there is no minimum.

was on Mybloglog alot too, checking out others blogs. Join my community (box on right) if you haven't already and I will check your site out too,

And I remebered to put my link in my signature for forum posts = more views.

Step by Step Guide to starting a blog - and making money from it

This is a complete Step by Step guide for Newbies about how to start a blog and monetize it. There are so many helpful sites online for this kind of thing but I couldn't find a complete guide for begginers starting from scratch....

Feel free to post this on your site - just make sure you link back to my blog.

I hope you find it useful....

STEP 1 - PLAN

What are you going to write about? What interests you, what do you have a lot to say about? Put some ideas down on paper and choose one topic. Now you need to write about something from a different angle - what will make your blog stand out from the others?

STEP 2 - GET YOUR BLOG

Sign up for a free blog with blogger ( who this site is with). It's great and really easy to create a nice looking blog.

STEP 3 - STYLIZE

Work on making your blog look good. First impressions count!
Blog Crowds Has some great free 3 column templates. Just copy the code and post it in your edit template page in blogger.
Choose a colour scheme - keep it simple just two or three main colours - you don't want people to get distracted. There is a great site which helps you choose schemes for your blog. Color Schemer
*Text size - the number one way to lose readers is to make your text too small. Make sure it is a good size so that everyone can read it easily.

STEP 4 - CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT

Content is what makes your BLOG. It's what makes readers return visit after visit. Make sure it is unique and well written. Use LABELS in the side bar so people can find posts on the topics they are interested quickly and easily.

STEP 5 - MONETIZE

Once you have completed steps 1 - 4 and are happy with the results you can apply For a google adsense account. Make sure you have atleast 5 good qulity posts or they may not accept you. They will respond to your request within 3 days. Then you will get a publisher I.D number. Inside blogger there is an adsense section which will match the adds to the color scheme of your blog.

STEP 6 - Publisize

Get your site out there, increase the traffic to your site.

1 Join MyBlogLog A kind of Myspace for blogs, join communities and promote your blog.

2. Put a link in your signature in forums that you post in with a catchy title, this will get people looking.

3.Use Mylot To promote your blog, start a discussion, ask open ended questions and put your blog link in the post. You get paid for posting at the same time!

4. Link exchange with similar sites, swapping links is a good way to generate a bit of extra traffic.

STEP 7 - Stick at it!

This is the most important yet the hardest one. Do not give up hope. Set an amount you will post per week and stick to it! If your site is unique, well written and laid out then resders will return.

Okay there has been alot of hype about Media Dollarz recently - so I thought I would check it out.

Media Dollarz is similar to many of those other programmes - where you complete surveys or sign up for things and they pay you for each offer. To be honest I am not a fan of sites like this because I always think of them sending you junkmail. But the main thing that drew me to this site was that they have NO minimum payout. That means if you earn $1.00 and you want to withdraw it (with paypal or e-gold) then you can. Which is great because so many of these programmes have a $30+ limit which is hard for people to achieve sometimes.

Anyway after logging onto the site after about 2 minutes I had made more then any other system I have tested so far (find out how much tommorow).

I went to withdrw the cash and they are veryfying my account and will get back to me within 24 hours - so i will let you know what happens.

- WORD OF WARNING - this site has many of those offers where by if you sign up for something (say a $1 trial which you pay) then they will give you $5 cashback e.t.c I would say stay away from the offers like this I wouldn't recommend paying money to get money! Just fill out the online surveys -free quick and easy and you see the payment almost instantly.

Another tip is to always use another email account other then your main one - sign up for one at hotmail.com or some other free site - as you are bound to get mail from these places.

Anyway I haven't been testing it long enough to form a good opinion, but the fact that there is a no minimum payout is incentive enough for anyone to check it out - you don't have anything too lose (just avoid the paid offers)....

DAY 3 - Diary

Day 3 Diary.

Yet more researching on ways to make money online - it so easy to get distracted.

Anyway as promised I spent some time trying out MyLot . I posted 10 threads and added one picture. I know it's not alot but I wanted to get an idea of how much you would earn per 10 posts average. I will post the earnings from this later (not looking too good so far).

An extra way to earn passive income from MyLot is to refer friends and family as the pay you 25% of what they earn (not out of their income from Mylot themselves). But so far I haven't refferred anyone - so sign up for free and test it out for yourself HERE!

I then submitted several more articles to Helium and a couple to reviewstream.

As you can see adsense is up on my page! Hope this will work out again I will post my earnings from adsense later (if any!)

I also joinied myBlog Log, and put a profile on their so join my community if you want ( see the cute little pink box on the right).

I am now trying to get more traffic to my site - spread the word!
