Deadlight Fear Yourself Trailer Reveals More of the Story

Microsoft Studios and Tequila Works today released a brand new trailer for Deadlight, a downloadable puzzle platformer set in the post-zombie apocalypse.

Tequila Works' first title, Deadlight, is to be published by Microsoft Studios exclusively for Xbox LIVE Arcade. The brand new trailer reveals more of the story behind Deadlight, the highly anticipated cinematic zombie puzzle platformer.

Deadlight is an upcoming sidescrolling survival horror cinematic platformer game for the Xbox Live Arcade developed by Tequila Works and published by Microsoft.

In an apocalyptic world where existence is futile, a solitary man treks the American west coast. The year is 1986 and a mysterious disease has decimated mankind, transforming people into killer automatons. Survival is the measure of all in this original cinematic puzzle platformer.

Harry Potter Kinect Game coming this fall

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Eurocom today announced Harry Potter for Kinect, a new game that supports Kinect�s hands-free and voice recognition capabilities, will be available later this year.

Based on all eight Harry Potter films, Harry Potter for Kinect allows players to join Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger as they embark on an unforgettable journey through Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and beyond. With Kinect�s scanning technology, for the first time ever in a Harry Potter game, players will be able to scan in their own face to create a unique witch or wizard to journey through the adventures of the film.

In addition, Kinect�s hands-free and voice recognition capabilities allow gamers to cast spells using physical maneuvers and by calling out spell names, offering an extraordinary, immersive Harry Potter experience.

�Harry Potter for Kinect will engage Harry Potter fans old and new by bringing them into the wizarding world as truly active participants,� said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. �Kids and parents will enjoy recreating their favorite Harry Potter adventures, from flying a broomstick in a Quidditch match, to battling pixies and duelling other wizards.�

Harry Potter for Kinect gives players the opportunity to experience some of the films� most memorable moments, both as the relevant characters or as their own avatars, including visiting Ollivanders, choosing a house at Hogwarts, and confronting He Who Must Not Be Named in a climactic final battle. Players who master their lessons can also take on their opponents in competitive mini-games, or join forces with family and friends in co-op gameplay.

Frogger's Back: Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii

Konami Digital Entertainment today announced the return of its veteran Frogger character, with Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition hopping on to PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3, Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and WiiWare for Wii in the Spring, 2012.

The classic coin-op's mix of skill and timing returns in its most challenging form yet, as Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition updates the core mechanics, but adds a wealth of new content and ideas. With the game currently celebrating 30 years of car-dodging, log-jumping, and road-traversing, players can jump into the action with classic and brand-new game modes including Tile Capture, Battle Royale, Freak Out and more that expand the challenge of Frogger's style of run-and-dodge gameplay.

Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition also allows users to customise their game experience through a variety of different skins, from the modern neon style of Hyper Arcade to the 8-bit sprites from the original Frogger, the classic Castlevania titles, and even Contra. Competitive types can also compete against friends or the CPU in up to four-player matches to find out who is top frog!

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Release Date, Pre-order DLC Fighters Unveiled

Namco Bandai Games today announced Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the next installment in the award-winning fighting game franchise, will launch September 11th in North America and September 14th in Europe, on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 will boast the largest roster of fighters in TEKKEN� history and fighting game fans who pre-order the game at select retailers can look forward to playing with additional DLC characters, Michelle Chang, Angel, Kunimitsu and Ancient Ogre immediately at launch.

Grand Theft Auto V due by end of March 2013?

Take-Two's latest earnings report factors in release of new entry in flagship franchise from Rockstar Games. Analysts suggest gamers are less than a year away from GTAV.

Grand Theft Auto V. will ship by the end of March 2013, multiple analysts are predicting based on Take-Two's latest financial report. Yesterday, the company announced it is planning to haul between $1.75 and $1.85 billion for the year ending March 31, 2013. This marked increase over last year's haul factors in, according to analysts, the release of GTAV.

Wedbush Securities' Michael Pachter said Take-Two's guidance is "unattainable" without a new big title from Rockstar Games. The industry watcher predicts Rockstar will contribute $1.1 billion to Take-Two's bottom line in fiscal 2013, with $300 million of that coming from Max Payne 3 and its downloadable content. He said another $150 million will be made up by Rockstar catalog sales, which leaves a void of $650 million. Pachter suggests that figure will be made up by sales of GTAV.

Xbox 720 release date slated for November 2013?

Recent comments from Bungie point towards a Christmas 2013 release for Microsoft's next-gen console.

It looks like the Xbox 720 won't be hitting shelves until 2013, at least if Halo developers Bungie are to be believed. The masterminds behind Master Chief are working on a brand new game called Destiny � which is set to be launched on both the Xbox 360 and Microsoft's next-gen console the Xbox 720 (codename Durango) in 2013. That plays into earlier reports that the Xbox 720 will be released at some point in 2013 � most likely around the November mark in time for the Christmas period.

Spotted by the LA Times in a developer contract, Destiny will be a Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) sci-fi first person shooter, with four titles planned for the series. A Halo/World of Warcraft mashup perhaps?

A PlayStation port of the first title is also being considered in 2014, a year after its release on the Xbox 360 and Xbox 720.

It's still far too early to tell what Bungie is going to spring on gamers itching to wrap their trigger fingers around an Xbox 720 controller � but we expect great things from the creators of Halo, so stay tuned.
