2K Games and Irrational Games today announced that production of DLC has recently begun for their forthcoming BioShock Infinite and revealed details of the BioShock Infinite Season Pass. Three all-new add-on packs will provide hours of additional gameplay and continue the player’s journey in the sky-city of Columbia with new stories, characters, abilities and weapons.

The BioShock Infinite Season Pass will be available on March 26, 2013 when the game is planned to launch, and provide nearly $30.00 of add-on content for 1,600 Microsoft Points  - a savings of more than 30%. The Season Pass will include all three add-on packs, and can now be pre-ordered.

Those who purchase the BioShock Infinite Season Pass will also receive the Early Bird Special Pack at no extra cost. This bonus pack contains four pieces of exclusive gear, a Machine Gun Damage Upgrade, a Pistol Damage Upgrade, a gold skin for both weapons and five Infusion bottles that allow players to increase their health, their shield durability or their ability to use Vigors by increasing the quantity of Salts they can carry.

In addition, those who pre-order BioShock Infinite will receive the Industrial Revolution Pack for free. This pack grants exclusive access to three in-game gear items that boost combat abilities, $500 bonus to in-game currency, five lock picks and the Industrial Revolution puzzle game, which unlocks stories of Columbia and allows players to pledge their allegiance to the Vox Populi or Founders through Facebook.

Use the Force to guide the silver ball in Star Wars Pinball coming to to XBLA next week! The first pack of tables includes Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Star Wars Pinball will release as DLC for the Pinball FX2 on Xbox LIVE® Arcade – February 27^th for 800 MSP

Each table features a different iconic moment from the Star Wars universe, with interactive 3D characters, and unique gameplay. There will be a total of ten themed pinball tables in the Star Wars Pinball collection.

343 Industries recently announced the first details for the next expansion in the Halo Infinity Multiplayer experience, the Majestic Map Pack, launching next Monday, February 25.

Developed by Certain Affinity, in collaboration with 343 Industries, the Majestic Map Pack delivers the close-quarters action in three all-new small to medium sized maps designed specifically for tight, competitive combat in small-team and free-for-all modes: Landfall, Monolith and Skyline.

Additionally, the map pack introduces two new “Majestic DLC” playlists and a new free-for-all game type, “Infinity Rumble,” that is exclusive to the “Majestic DLC” playlist for a limited time, as well as 10 new Achievements worth a total of 250 Gamerscore.

New Battlegrounds: Majestic Map Pack

•    Landfall: A shining city under attack…

The world of Tribute is now a graveyard, but its capital was once a bright beacon of commerce among the inner colonies. Fight in the corridors and courtyards of Casbah’s port authority buildings, but don’t stand still too long. Perfect for Infinity Slayer, this small to midsize asymmetrical map offers interiors with sparse cover, which encourages close-range combat, while the exteriors offer long lines of sight to stalk your opponents. Awesome jump routes let players spring around the outside of the map, incidentally offering a perfect view of the city as it is razed by the Covenant’s brutal assault.

• Monolith: Adrift in a forgotten asteroid belt…

This monument and many like it were built by the Forerunners after their final victory over the ancient humans. This small map has central man-cannons, short corridors, almost no cover, and open sightlines which make the location great for a mixture of close and mid-range battle. Monolith harkens back to more classic “Halo” arena-based maps, and its symmetry lends nicely to objective-based modes like Capture the Flag. Monolith is an open battlefield; wherever you look, you will witness the ferocious action that only a small and open map can provide.

• Skyline: Combat analysts agree…

The rooftop terrain on this new space tether construction site is an ideal training environment for close-quarters infantry combat. This map, perched high above the sights of reconstruction in Cascade’s capital city, is small and symmetrical, perfect for Regicide with a mixture of high and low spaces and plenty of cover. Don’t think cover means you’re safe, however – this map holds explosive fuel cells that can and will wreak havoc in Skyline’s confined spaces, not to mention the long, long drop if you misstep.

The Majestic Map Pack will be available on Xbox LIVE for 800 Microsoft Points. Players who purchase the “Halo 4” War Games Map Pass* or “Halo 4” Limited Edition will receive access to both the Crimson and Majestic Map Packs as well as the final map pack when it releases in April at a 15 percent savings versus purchasing them individually.

New Game Type: “Infinity Rumble”

“Halo 4’s” new game type, Infinity Rumble, is exclusive for a limited time to Majestic Map Pack owners and brings a few new twists to the War Games experience. It is a free-for-all game type where players can earn personal ordnance; all special medal and style kills help you earn ordnance faster, and you can also earn assists off of enemy players for even more medal points. Players must carefully conserve and use their ordnance at just the right moment, or combine power-ups with power weapons in the race to be first. Every kill, and every death counts in Infinity Rumble, and this is reflected with a slower spawn time in the free-for-all matches.

New Playlists: “Majestic Team DLC” and “Majestic FFA DLC”

The Majestic Map Pack also brings two new playlists to the War Games experience:

•  Majestic FFA DLC (8 players): Majestic FFA is an incredibly intense free-for-all playlist. Players are all alone in this playlist with seven others, vying for first place!

• Majestic Team DLC (4 vs. 4): Majestic Team DLC is a 4 vs. 4 playlist that focuses on both team play and tight objective combat.

Zen Studios today announced Star Wars Pinball, a brand new collection of tables developed with authentic Star Wars moments. The downloadable game, developed in partnership with LucasArts, will be available February 2013 on a variety of digital platforms including the Xbox LIVE Arcade.

The initial three-table pack will be themed around fan favorites including Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Revolution, the first DLC Map Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is now available for Xbox LIVE users for $14.99 or 1,200 Microsoft Points, or available for free if you have already purchased the Season Pass. Interestingly enough, this is the first time in Call of Duty history that a new gun has been introduced via DLC.

One of the most robust and diverse DLC offerings in Call of Duty history, Revolution includes four all-new Multiplayer maps, a new Zombies Co-Op map, a brand new Zombies game mode and a bonus Multiplayer weapon.

Microsoft today is officially celebrating 10 years of Xbox LIVE. The service originally started back in November of 2002, which was exactly one year after the Xbox was released. At the time, Xbox LIVE revolutionized online gaming, allowing you to play against an opponent online, allowing voice chat, and having a global friends list that would work with every Xbox LIVE enabled game.

The service has transformed into what it is today, with over 40 million members and a combined 14.5 billion Achievements unlocked worldwide (with the launch of the Xbox 360.)

Three additional map packs have already been confirmed for Halo 4, and yesterday 343 Industries and Microsoft revealed details on the game’s War Games Map Pass. Similar to a season pass, the $24.99 War Games Map Pass will ensure downloads of all three map packs for players who purchase it. Those who purchase the pass will also receive two unique in-game helmets and a unique in-game helmet.

Here are the complete details on the announced packs:

• Crimson Map Pack (December release timeframe)
• o   Maps: Wreckage, Harvest, Shatter
• o   Description: Witness the chaos of a clash of civilizations in Wreckage, with its blend of claustrophobic spaces and dangerous exposures and venture into the human colony environs of Harvest, and explore a human foray on an alien moon in Shatter.

•  Majestic Map Pack (February release timeframe)
• o   Maps: Landfall, Monolith, Skyline

As Telltale’s brilliant take on The Walking Dead is nearing its conclusion, the publisher has pulled back the curtains on the series’ retail editions.
