I think that every literate American should read at least one Richard Ford novel. I'd read Canada only because it's the latest and will be talked about. You will be able to join in the conversation. If you like it you can investigate his backlist later. But I'm not a completist anymore. I used to be. Now I like to read a couple of books by a writer and then move on to someone else. Reading is a caravan for me. I'm always wanting to move on to someplace else.

Thanks for your comment, Judy. It is like a mini reading group. Let's have more of those.
I have never read Richard Ford. I have kept putting it off. Usually I read an author's work from first novel to latest. I am thinking that with Ricard Ford I might try it the other way: latest to first. I could call it the Benjamin Button method of reading an author. What do you think?

I like it when at least two of your guys have a discussion about a book. It is like a mini reading group.
