We have changed the name of our radio show from 3 Monkeys Radio to guzen radio. Same great show just a different name. The reason for the name change is explained in the first guzen radio show. This is a recording I made of students during clean up time at the end of the day. I walked up and down the hallway and went into different classrooms. You can hear students talking, cleaning, writing on the board, and other things. It might sound like a bunch of noise, but it's part of my everyday life here. I especially love to hear the sound of my students laughing. I am happy to say they do a lot of that. (Be careful when listening with headphones because some parts get a little loud)

We did an interview with the musical artist Takako Fujimoto. She was here in Shizuoka promoting her first album "Feel It". She was nice enough to sit down for a few minutes and do an interview with us.

Takako has a great sound and even if you don't understand Japanese you can still enjoy her music. Here are the sample tracks that we played at the beginning and end of our show. Please don't forget to leave your comments.

This was our first show done outside this year. It was, March 21st, a National Holiday in Japan called (shunbun no hi) Spring Equinox Day. On this show we talked about the Penis Festival (Hounen Matsuri at Tagata Jinja) that takes place on March 15th each year, the 7.0 Kyushu Earthquake that hit on Sunday morning, and many other things. My student Yui and her friend Mayuko were passing by and stopped to talk for a few minutes at the end of the show.

Anniversary Special

3 Monkeys Radio is new to podcasting, but not to broadcasting. We have been doing a show on live365 for a year now. Since we have a lot of new listeners and this is our 1 year anniversay, we thought we would put up some of our past shows.

This is a show we did back in May. We like to do our show from different locations. In this show we were at an outdoor cafe. The whole show was about 75 minutes. It has been trimmed down for this special posting.
