From the site:

"CMYK Alphabet is a typographic experiment, a set of 26 sans-serif uppercase letterforms on a grid of 5x5 inch. Each letter is hand embroidered using a combination of two overlapping CMYK colours. The colours are halftoned at 90 and 45 degrees and these low resolution screens are turned into handmade cross-stitch embroidery."

Detroit Autoshow Favorites

So with a little help from the ever reliable Autoblog, I've compiled my favorite new cars and concepts down below. I always love seeing the new concepts, even if they never get out into production. A lot of what I picked is pretty tame and realistic however, I would buy and drive every one of these.

VW Compact Coupe

This new coupe hybrid has a stylish look with beautiful lines. I always wondered why car makers didn't sculpt a trunk roof like the ones here. I think it works really well. Oh and it has white leather... nice. They say it will be able to run in full electric mode. With an estimated 45 mpg this concept just might become a reality. (I hope.)

Ford Focus

I've always had a soft spot for the focus since seeing Jeremy Clarkson's totally normal review of the car. This new edition seems like a nice progression for the line. An electric version and a hybrid version are due in 2012. I love the styling, its flashy and practical at the same time. The interior is, well, cluttered and messy, but never having been inside one, it may be functional, who knows.

Toyota FT-CH

Finally, a concepty looking car. This one would be the Prius' younger hipper brother. It's a little goofy looking, but I still kinda like it. But why do all companies insist on coloring their concepts green? Anyway, it's small its a hybrid/fuel cell vehicle and its a concept, what more can I say.

Fiat 500(s)

My favorite Italian car is coming to America!(maybe) And whoa, whats this? an electric version? Wouldn't that be nice. Especially in a little stylish car like this, I can't say I'm thrilled with the color choices going on but the car is just a classic. Not much info on these two but if I learn anything more ill post it here.

Well I hate to just steal straight up from another blog so I have to say something about this awesome new piece of technology. I know this is just a prototype, but I dream of the day that I have a foldable e-ink display that can connect to wifi where I can read books and articles while sitting at Starbucks or on the subway. This 19 inch size seems a little big, but the 11.5 seems more realistic.

"lg recently unveiled a flexible e-ink display that is about the size of a newspaper. the new display is
made from a flexible e-paper that gives the user the feeling of reader a newspaper. the display measures
19 inches across and is only 0.3 mm thick. the screen is able to achieve this remarkable thinness and
flexibility because it’s backed by a metal foil rather than glass substrate. this metal foil allows the device
to flex and then return to its original form while remaining durable. while this 19 inch model is merely
a prototype, lg has stated that they will release a smaller 11.5 inch model this year. this technology could
change the whole e-reader sector, offering flexible displays along with more traditional rigid models."
